Great for a tourist. My hotel recommended this low key, casual joint as a place where “taxi drivers come to eat” and that was enough for me to want to try it. They have an English menu and lovely lady who spoke perfect English who helped recommend dumplings with mince meat inside and covered with bacon and onions, it was so filling and delicious for 22 zloty, plus a big beer for 12 zloty (or 10zl for a small beer). They take credit card and it was the perfect introduction to polish food for a tourist.

It’s really nice. They have English menu. And the price is very cheap. For the taste I would say it’s one of the best food in Warsaw. It’s my first time to try Pyzy (A traditional Polish food right?) I don’t like potatoes, but I suddenly fell in love with the pyzy thanks to this small bar.

I can’t recommend this place enough! The food was delicious, all traditional polish food served in a singular way. I’ve got polish gnocchi which felt home made and fresh. Made with bacon and onions I think it was a great combination. The service was great, I’ve met two lovely girls at the counter who helped us and let us feel very welcomed. The whole area is fantastic and this place was the highlight of our visit to Praga!

Amazing traditional Polish food. Good beers and try their homemade wodka too. Not to mention the Zurek, it is a must too. They serve things in jars.

Home made starchy food served in jar. This place is known for its good tripe soup that is also served in the jar. Home made food for low price served with a smile. The lady working there was very nice and helpful with our order. She explained that the jars are part of a tradition as this food used to be sold in bazaar stand. Place is clean and can be little tight when extra busy.

Great, authentic place. Fantastic prices and friendly staff. Within walking distance of the tourist spots in Warsaw, homemade Polish food and a much better price than most of the touristy restaurants.

Superfriendly staff, and definitely worth a visit. Traditional Polish food, as Polish grandmothers cook. My dish was ok, but the bacon was mostly fat and the whole jar (they serve most dishes in jars) was floating with grease. The house beer was flat and disappointing.

First the staff is friendly, patient, and bilingual. Myself and 3 other came with no idea what we were getting into and we enjoyed all of our food. The food is well prepared and portion sizes give you plenty of bang for your buck.

What a great discovery this place has been! The service, the food, the atmosphere: it was all perfect! Food is traditional and served in a very unique way, with the gnocchi being tremendously good. A very special place in the in the heart of the Praga district, not to be missed

I recently discovered this place and it reminds me of my grandma’s cousine. My biggest mistake was ordering soup and main dish, as I didn’t know their sizes at first. But even though it was easy to take out the leftovers home. Served in jars, small space and lovely lady behind the desk, that’s always very helpful and sweet. Experience 10/10, taste of food 10/10 (vegetarian options), and limited number of seats - so don’t kill the vibe and don’t be a stranger! Join or be joined ;)

Amazing Polish food at a very low price. The place is small and cozy. It's outside the touristic area and I was the only foreigner when I was there. That's a good indicator that you get the local experience. They still have English menus though. I had dark beer from the tap, barszcz, kapuska and I loved all of them. This very filling meal cost only 44 Złoty. I'd strongly recommend this place for small groups and solo travellers.

Not only great for a tourist, but also a hungry local. This is an updated version of food that was served in this area for decades. Sure, it may have been a little rougher back in the 60s and 70s, but this part of town is a truly authentic part of Warsaw of days gone by. A little bit of nostalgia never hurt anyone. Try this place.

An authentic cafe in the brutal street of Prague district. I highly recommend to take pyzy with potatoes and greaves(skwarki)

This place gives you an experience of proper Polish home cooking. It’s not the fanciest food you can have in Warsaw but it’s hearty and delicious. The space of the restaurant is quite small and it’s crowded with locals. If you happen to be in the neighbourhood definitely give it a try.

Great food, proper home made traditional polish cuisine and really tasty. They have home made vodka with lots of flavours, and was even lucky to experience a live 4 piece band with accordion and banjo. Very friendly host and would come back again next time I visit Warsaw.

Atmosphere of a bar, but comfy. Price is very good (two jars of noodles with cofee and beer - 13€) and I was stuffed. English on the menu, so easier to navigate. Recommend

This is as authentic as it get I think. Very small gem hidden in plain sight. From the crowded inside to the line out the door. We had to eat our food outside standing but it was all woth it I promise

Fantastic service and delicious food that we hadn't been able to find else where. The beer was great as well. There was an English menu as well for those of who can barely speak our own tongue.

This is one of this little shops that you will stumble upon and blown away. we were greeted with a smile and an english menu. The portions may seem small, but trust me, they are not. The food is hearty, delicious and the beer selection is very good. do not miss out on a vodka shot in a mini jar. Super delicious and very welcoming experience.

It was a very cozy atmosphere there even though the restaurant was full of people. Each dish (soup and pyzy) was served in a glass jar, and the portion was around 0.5 L. The dinner of 2 soups, 1 main dish (pyzy) and 3 beers was a bit below 20 euro which is excellent for the quality of the food and the size of dishes.

It's ok to eat basic polish food for s good price in Praga. They serve the dishes in these small pots. The place was full of people and was difficult to order because of the queue. They have delicious fortuna beer.

A lovely little restaurant with excellent food! I can recommend the gnocchi with spinach and peanut sauce (I ordered it without the crispy bacon)! And the dimples with the Praga beef was yummy as well. The cute jars make the portions not look too big, but they're actually quite huge.

The place is great with colorfull benches outside and dishes served in cute jars. Traditional tripe soup and pyzy with meat taste lovely.

Our first time visiting Warsaw and chose this restaurant as our first meal, so glad we did! The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. We went back to the sister restaurant a few days later!

Good experience, English speaking friendly personnel. Two giant dumplings, hot, freshly cooked, but not the best from taste perspective.

  • 5/5 J B. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic selection of very regional dishes traditionally associated with this very region of Warsaw's Praga Północ. Very well referenced history to former Bazar located just next door, where the street food selection was including Flaki (tripe soup) and Pyzy (regional dumplings with different type of fillings with a dough made partially from potatoes). All fishes were served in a pre portioned glass jars and stored ready to serve by the vendors in insulated boxes to keep hot without using any heat source at the place if serving. Vendors were shouting "Flaki, pyzy gorące!" (Hot tripe soup! Hot dumplings!" To let the usually very busy and very crowded marked know they are ready to serve. In this very tradition, the owner of this restaurant put a modern spin on a classic dishes making absolutely charming atmosphere taking their customers for a nostalgic trip in time to comunitic Poland. Dishes are very delicious, hard to pick a favorite. Must try at least once. Impressive selection of modernized classics in authentic atmosphere.

A curious place to eat, some typical Polish food served in jars, tasty and at a good price

  • 4/5 Rytis . 1 year ago on Google
Authentic food spot. It is cheap, has much charm and many calories. The vibe is good and eating out of a jar is nice experience. It was very crowded, what is actually a good sign for owners.
