My favourite Polish spot in London. Food is amazing and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Fantastic homemade polish vodka. Wonderfully friendly service! They treat us the same way when we come for full dinner or when we just pop in after concert at Royal Albert Hall for quick dish or dessert to share!

Historical location and venue, and stunning establishment. The service is good and the food is out of this world 😁. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving for some authentic polish food. From appetisers, soup and both of our main dishes are so well prepared and presented. The outdoor area was fully booked when we visited but will be back for lunch soon.

This is a truly amazing restaurant and the reviews for this place reflect that. The interior and presentation is excellent and the staff are very attentive, polite, and helpful. If you are unfamiliar with Polish food then they are happy to help you with recommendations. The food itself is fantastic, very flavoursome, and well presented as can be seen in the photos. If you like Polish food or are yet to try it, then I would recommend this place. If you are also looking for somewhere to go for a nice evening meal for an occasion then look no further. I implore more people to try Polish food, it's very good and an underrated cuisine. Thank you.

As a Pole living in London I am so impressed with this place. I can't believe I have only discovered it after 17 years of living here. Delicious food with a twist, like anchovies on the pork escalope or beetroot and chilli Martini. Quality Polish vodkas. Service very friendly. Thank you!

We came here before Christmas and all the tables were celebratory with Christmas crackers. The atmosphere was nice and the cocktails (and the mocktails) delicious. The food was also delicious, we loved the bread and the pelmeni. The dish sizes were reasonable. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded and noisy with the narrow passages between the tables. I would come here again.

Nice food, gorgeous venue. The waiting staff were a bit rude. I don't particularly enjoy it when they pick up your plates without asking if you are done with your course . Feel a bit hurried in that aspect. The food was well presented and good, but not wow unfortunately. The venue is absolutely brilliant. Gorgeous setting and it's a shame the food wasn't right up there and the table service left a lot to be desired. P.s. as a steak tartare connoisseur I was disappointed. The meat wasn't fine enough, the miniscule yolk wasn't enough to bind the meat and you must have a splash of Tabasco on offer ... 2.5/5

Good Polish food in a very nice setting, good for dates etc. table spacing a bit of an issue as they really have tried to fill the space as much as possible. This means If you are eating in the building and not the heated terrace then it can be very loud. I’d recommend asking for a table on the terrace. Must try’s are the homemade flavoured vodkas. They usually have one vegan starter and one vegan main available everyday which is good but would be great if it would have more vegan options

Random tip and find for a post Museums visit (either post the V&A, Science or Nat History Museum). As a non Polish person, this was a great tip off and it is something different than the usual pub/ bar visit! Impressive building, interior and garden. The staff were friendly & superbly knowledgeable and very persuasive to try the local Vodka Brand KAVKA! 😀 Although they do cater to all tastes, so don’t be put away by the vodka! Lovely bar food selection. Highly recommended and very historic!

We were in the Royal Albert hall at a concert and after that we wanted a nice lunch. We booked a table and with a little walk we was there. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They also have foods suitable for vegans and vegetarians, nice soups, salades but also meat and fish if somebody like it. The tables were beautifuly made and all the tables were occupied. The food was delicious and they have some very special sorts of things like beetrot soup. The elderflower cocktail was also amazing. Highly recommended.

A lovely restaurant in a stunning Victorian house which has some lovely history behind it. The wine list contains a great selection of wines from several regions, we opted for a Romanian wine which was delicious. We then ordered a selection of items and I have to say that they were all incredible, the duck pierogi are definitely a must in my book! We didn’t actually order any mains and just focused on tons or starters and sides and that was amazing for sharing and worked out to a total £35 each including wine. Overall would highly recommend if you’re after some slightly fancier Polish food.

I love Polish cuisine so when I found this place on Google o booked a table, this was pretty easy and done within 5 minutes. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a higher end sophisticated feel. Having turned up feeling underdressed we was seated and given a menu with a candle lit table. The menu I belive changes with the time of year which I would love to try sometime. As seen in the photos the food is well presented and to my pallet amazing. You will be paying higher prices for the experience but it is well worth it. The negative part. We was seated in a corned and it felt like we was constantly forgotten about. Having waited upto 40mins to have our order taken.

We were sitting outside under the tent. Food was tasty. Service was perfect, very polite and attentive staff. I recommend Beetroot negroni. And I really enjoyed Kapusniak, tasted exactly like my mum used to make. At first it was very cold but staff spotted us shaking and turn up the heating.

Amazing experience which went beyond the delicious food. The setting and building is beautiful, the staff friendly and efficient, and of course there is the delicious and authentic Polish food. We dined out on the terrace with tablecloths and candles. The inside was beautiful too though! It reminded me of upscale authentic restaurants in Warsaw. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommend the herring, steak tartare, and pancakes with duck livers. The desserts were delicious too!

Beautiful, historic place. Lots of events there, you can learn interesting facts about Polish history and culture. There's stylish bar there too were you can relax.

  • 5/5 Tom C. 2 years ago on Google
Easily one of the best Polish restaurants in London. They have a good range of vodkas (including home flavoured) - and I highly recommend the honey vodka at the end of the meal. Steak tartare is offered both un/mixed and the pelmeni and pierogi are perfect starters alongside a more herbal/aromatic vodka. The mains are well portioned, and good quality - and you shouldn't be leaving hungry.

We happened upon this place and were so glad we did! The food was delicious, the Hot Golden Autumn cocktails were perfectly made, and the servers were all friendly. I definitely want to come back to work my way through the menu.

Hands down among the handful of greatest martinis in all of London (and the only place that has successfully made a dirty vodka martini to this New Yorker's satisfaction!), and the housemsde flavored vodka selection is 2nd to none. The food is also always absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

Excellent service! The waiter was super friendly, and we got a cute table in the terrace with a view to the park. It’s not on the cheap side, however the quality was superb. I bet this restaurant-club has many stories to tell.

What a surprise this was! Beautiful interior, but even better food and service. Not fussy, super friendly despite the apparent grandeur and the food was delicious. I was so pleased to see things like veal and rabbit on there. Chicken livers were also a highlight! Fab wine choices as well!

London has so many amazing restaurants but Ognisko holds a special place in my heart. Not only the food is delicious (I am Polish and I know good Polish food) but the restaurant is beautiful. The dining room is so welcoming and elegant the bar area is also elegant and fun. They make amazing vodka martinis and trying a frozen carafe of their in house infused vodka is a must (my favourite are strawberry and cherry flavours). The staff is also amazing the manager Janek is so helpful and approachable, he always finds time to say hello. I simply can not fault this place. It is my absolute number one choice for restaurant in London. Food, drinks, ambiance and location - all perfection! Not to mention the interesting history of the place and the cultural aspects there is more to Ognisko than just a great restaurant.

Flawless! Wide range of options on the menu - the food is excellent. Fig and artichoke salad was light and exquisitely prepared - fantastic appetiser. Chicken tabaka was something new but was packed with flavour and a considerable portion size. Finally, the pavlova was nice to finish off the meal - sweet and Delicate. Service was great and for the large portions the prices were reasonable. Will definitely return!

The place was very strategic, just down the road from the museums. Good place to catch up with old friends for a conversation, the menu is for a 2 or 3 course meal. Although not in the menu, they had fish goujons with chips for the kids when we asked. They also prepared ice cream for the kids for dessert although not in the menu, appreciate how they helped to cater to kids who went there. We tried the beef goulash, very tender beef. I tried the salt beef, something unique that I've not had before. It pair well with the salad, mustard and a white sauce.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Food was really tasty, service good & the building is lovely & grand - gives a good ambience. Not the cheapest meal, but nothing is in Central London! Def recommend the Polish Sausage starter, and the cheesecake dessert was fantastic also (big portions).

  • 5/5 Louise Iglesias C. 9 months ago on Google
Really good place to eat and drink. Decently priced for the location and I am definitely coming again. Came with my husband for his 40th. We had the fried dumplings as an appetiser. Polish sausage and chlodnik for starters, schnitzel and golonka for mains, panna cotta and sorbet for dessert. We were stuffed. Hung around the bar for a while after and the barstaff were super friendly.

  • 5/5 Henry B. 6 months ago on Google
Presentation of the interior is absolutely stunning. Food is excellent, of a high quality and is reasonably priced. Selection of vodkas is the best in London, would recommend the Honey vodka for dessert!

  • 5/5 D 10 months ago on Google
Where do I even start. This place was a genuine 10/10, spectacular personable service, great food and perfect both indoors and out (especially on a warmer summer day). The starters I highly recommend the dumplings (mushroom and potato - recommended from a polish colleague). The cheesecake is a no brainer, please do try it as it was moist, fluffy, fruity with hints of white chocolate making me want to come back some time in the future! Polish food has never been given so much justice before. The mains are quite meat dominated and I personally had the seabass and rabbit which both went down a treat too. Though the dumpling starters and cheesecake were the outright winner. Will be returning no doubt!

Food was delicious and well presented. Cocktails were also great. This Victorian style restaurant is stunning. Flavoured vodka is something you must try! Also the cheesecake! The service was a bit slow unfortunately and staff were not as attentive as in other top restaurants. Had starters, mains and desserts- the whole lunch took about 2h due to slow service and then was rushed to leave however it was not my fault I was still there. If not service I would give it 5* as the everything was perfect! The location and interior design makes it special.

I can't get over how amazing this resturant is, I have have been here twice now and I cannot wait too visit this beautiful resturant again. The food is 10/10 beautifully cooked and presented... Massive well done to the chefs and the waiters and waitresses who were professional, polite and always attend to any need you have, also going above and beyond to make sure you have the best service. The last time I visited before leaving I was offered a polish shot of vodka, no charge, its little things like that that make a restaurant really stand out.

What a place! Highly recommended! We went there few times for dinner (always delicious food and vodkas - especially Kafka) and we were the lucky ones to have our wedding there in September 2020. We had the best day ever, everything went perfectly, atmosphere was fantastic, the venue looked stunning, the food was so delicious (chicken livers were announced the best dish people ever had), drinks were flowing including all flavours of vodka. Everyone was so impressed! We don’t have enough words to explain how grateful we are that we were able to do it despite the crazy timing! Must visit - you won't be disappointed - staff is so friendly and very helpful, the venue is stunning and the main thing - FOOD is just wow!

Me and my son casually discover this very elegant restaurant, just in front of the main entrance of Imperial College. Didn’t immediately realized that it was a polish one, but once inside, looking at quite customers and extremely professional and gentle waitresses, was so glad we could have eaten some speciality of one of best and fast growing country in Eastern Europe ! The main courses were really delicious, and the smoked salmon with a sort of warm small pancakes was absolutely 😋😋😋! Gran finale with their great vodka FIGA 🤩😍🤩 Price around 60£, including an 1/2lt polish 🍺. Recommended also for a romantic dinner 💞💗💘, but don’t forget the FIGA as dessert 😜

(Translated by Google) Hello, I had the opportunity to visit another Polish restaurant located in the beautiful South-Kensington district, richly representing London. The area is charming, full of splendor, class, English dignity, clean and carefully. The interior of the restaurant allows the guest to sit down and start reading the menu. Very cozy, intimate and elegant without too much inflation. Pure elegance and class in itself. The staff is very well trained and prepared to receive guests in a proper way for this class. Smiling, cheerful, helpful but most of all not obtrusive and discreet. At the entrance to the table, we were served a small appetizer in the form of beetroot tarts, butter, bread and pickled cucumbers (I fully admit that my mother makes better beets with too little grated horseradish and was bland) I think that they should be served colder and cucumbers cut fresh, you could feel that they were lying on the proverbial side for a while. As a starter, we ordered a typical lard, but delicious, but not enough cracklings. The starter was classic Tatar. The meat was super fresh, you could see and feel it. Quail egg, classic cucumber, shallotka onion, capers - spicy sauce based on mayonnaise and some mustard are served as dressing. After mixing it was good, but I prefer the classic version with a natural magician, the sauce gave the impression that the cook took the idea of English cuisine (the sauce was not hot in the end) as the first course came duck dumplings (recommended by the waiter) poetry in the mouth! An explosion of flavors, a delicate, fresh duck inside! Perfectly seasoned! Worth a try! And pancakes with caviar, I was not delighted with the taste, I ate caviar of better quality than the one served, I would definitely not order the second time. For the main course we decided to listen to the waiter for the second time, who can see that it has a taste, half a duck to share .. Almost perfectly baked, I could only stick to the crust, which was not crunchy but soft and too wet with fat. In addition, the duck itself was perfect, it melted in the mouth, and the sauce, which was not good on its own, combined with groats, apple and duck, made an inseparable tandem of flavors! I recommend it to everyone with hand on heart! The wine that should be had during such a large feast was chosen by the waiter with great taste and it was a shot at 10! Saperavi 2018 from Georgia! Full of aroma, perfect for duck! I rate the whole thing very well, I take into account every detail, 10 gives a strong 8! I will definitely come back to try other dishes! Czysta elegancja i klasa sama w sobie. Saperavi 2018 z Gruzji! Pełne aromatu, idealne do kaczki! Całość oceniam bardzo dobrze, biorę pod uwagę każdy szczegół na 10daje mocne 8! Zdecydowanie powrócę spróbować innych dan!
