Have never been to a cafeteria style restaurant before but this has set the bar. There’s plenty of different main dish and side options. Everything tasted amazing and the service was friendly. You get a salad bar with your meal which was nice. Be prepared to consume a LOT of food. Their portions are enormous. Main dishes + two sides, a roll and salad bar averages from $13-20+ dollars depending on the main dish. I really enjoyed the cabbage roll, pierogi and mashed potatoes. The Mac n cheese was a little bland taste wise to me. I didn’t order the beer battered fish but that will definitely be on my radar if we can ever come again, it looked delicious. The place has a full bar and inside is warm and cozy. A lot of famous stars have dined here and the interior is setup with photos and signatures from the guests throughout. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come again.

Delicious food. I got Salisbury steak, pierogi, mac & cheese, and mushroom soup. All of them were fantastic. They also have really good bottled milk. There's a piano player in one of the rooms on Saturday nights. Lines quickly form for dinner on Saturdays - go for lunch during the week if you want fewer crowds. They have copies of the menu and specials near the line.

The most amazing food I had all year in 2019! This was the place my fiancee and I went to the evening of my birthday on our weekend trip across Ohio, and it was amazing! The atmosphere is very cozy. There were family photos and photos of famous individuals, most notably Michael Symon, who had visited there. There was a bar, wood tables that were packed but didn't feel too close together, and a lovely chandelier! On the weekends, they have a live piano player which was a nice touch! The food was nothing short of spectacular. Sokolowskis serves traditional Polish food, including favorites like pierogies, Salisbury steak, and stuffed cabbage, which is exactly what we went with. They also have an interesting variety of cold beverages like orange milk, cream soda and ginger beer. We were content with water, but it was very nice to have a lot of choices! We did try their homemade rice pudding and an apple pastry and loved both of them! We still had leftovers to take with us, but both agreed that we would order an extra meal next time we went to-go :D Even with a tip, we still only spent less than 50 bucks! We've been joking around the last few months that we would take the 7 hour ride from Philly to Cleveland just to come back here! I can't wait until we do :)

I know this place is a staple, and very many folks enjoy it. It just was not my kind of food and I found myself disappointed by the entire experience.

My husband and I LOVE Sokolowski's! My husband bought a Sokolowski's hat and wears it often, telling people all the time how great the food is. We are living in Florida now and every time we visit O-H-I-O the first place we go before heading to Youngstown is stopping at... you guessed it SOKOLOWSKI'S. To be honest, every dish we have had is so, so good. My husband's go-to is pierogies and stuffed cabbage, but everything is wonderful. If we were close by, I am certain we would eat there a couple of times a week. My husband, probably daily LOL. Cafeteria style... Pick what you want! 😎

This family owned restaurant has been around for decades and their casual cafeteria style serving, has passed the test of time. Classic polish recipes, vintage decor, and live music to compliment the setting, Sokolowski’s is a Cleveland landmark. Everything on the menu is a must and will not disappoint.

If you like good ethnic, Hungarian comfort food, you have to make this place a priority! It's food heaven! It's in the Cleveland Westside Tremont area, so it's close to other activities like: the West Side Market and the Christmas Story House. But beware, there are certain days and times when it gets super busy and the lines and the parking are daunting.

This was a lucky find traveling through Cleveland! We were looking for a great Polish Eatery, and we found it! The Chicken Paprikash was heavenly! The Salisbury Steak was great too! All the sides were incredible. There was nothing we had that wasn't wonderful! We will have to make a trip there, just for the restaurant! Oh, and for pierogis!

As a first timer, I had a wonderful time. My husband found this place because he knows how much I love getting a true, homecooked, authentic Polish meal. And this place did not disappoint. He took me here for my birthday lunch and this wonderful couple helped us out by telling us what we had to try. Their list kept going and going and they seemed to end every sentence with..."it's all so good." We ended up getting the pierogi and chicken plates. That couple was right. It was SOOO good. I can't wait to go back to try the bread pudding. Thank you Sokolowski family for playing your part in keeping the Polish culture alive. ❤❤❤

Coming from a NYC polish person who spends a lot of time in Greenpoint, Brooklyn(aka little Poland) where they have some of the best Polish food and sushi lol... This place is pretty decent. Some of the food is more Americanized and not as Polish as I expected. The perogies are good. The steak was a little dry. The stuffed cabbage was pretty good. The staff is great and friendly. Really fun atmosphere.

A homey cafeteria style restaurant serving Polish and German dishes. A super busy place. We made a reservation for 6:30 and did not get seated until 7:30. Apparently reservation for this place only means you will be guaranteed a table to sit down once you line up to get your food. Everyone with or without reservation must all line up to get your food. Interesting experience. Food comes in generous portions. Would recommend this place if you're not in a rush. A great photo spot of Cleveland just outside of the restaurant.

Love the atmosphere here. The food is always good. Lines can be long during the evening hour so plan to come early. Afternoon hours during the weekdays are a great time to come and have a meal. Pierogi are delicious every time. Stuffed cabbage is tasty. I usually come here for the chicken paprikash. They have a huge menu and nightly specials.

Great food, probably the best in the Ohio region if I’m being honest. I can’t find anyone who compares. The cookbook needs to come out or open the place back up. It’s been literally years with radio silence. Seriously.

Cafeteria-style dining sounds boring right? WRONG. This unassuming little place delivers a massive home-cooked punch. The portions and variety impressed me from the get-go, but it was only when I took that first bite that I, for the most fleeting moment, saw God. It's unfortunate that -- in all the times I've been to Cleveland -- I've only just now found this place.

I don't know what was worse, the hour+ long wait or the greasy bland cafeteria slop they served. Don't believe the hype :(

Good old fashion Polish American food. This restaurant serves food cafeteria style which helps move tables faster during the lent season. There’s also a full bar that you can grab a drink while waiting to grab your food. During my visit they had a live pianist. Sokolowski’s is a must visit at least once in your life!

No rush casual dining with reasonable prices. The menu consists of homemade dishes with something for every taste. The porkchops are my personal favorite, but the meatloaf is right up there. The place has alot of character.

The gravy is traditional Salisbury hearty gravy. I also had a salad and bread. Sokolowski's has a full bar and several opportunities to purchase beer or liquor while you're in line. (It gets really busy). Check out their collection of bobbleheads while you're there. Also, they have great cake and pie also. Don't miss the deserts.

How have I lived in Cleveland my entire life and NEVER dined here?! The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, great variety. Service was excellent AND the ambiance even better with live piano. I'll be back regularly! Pictured is the stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and pork chop mashed potatoes and pieroges. Absolutely delicious!

SO GOOD!!! We're on lockdown, wanted to try a new place, and picked this one. My 8 year old son said it's the best food he's ever had. We had the chicken paprikash & meatloaf. Staff are friendly, and the place is clean. Interesting take on cafeteria style dining. Expect a fairly long wait to get in for dinner (about an hour), we came at 4:15pm and there was already a line going out the door and into the parking lot. So I would recommend coming a little early. Food was ok, reminded me of my grandmothers cooking. However, I felt that some of the main dishes were a little bland and lacking flavor. For what you are paying I left it was a little overpriced, but at this point if your going to wait an hour here your coming for the experience since it is a hallmark of cleveland's slavic community, and a favorite spot for Big Cuck and Little John who are sometimes spotted here.
