πŸ‘Ž Sticky Nose/rude owner/host πŸ‘Ž Booked 3 nights, first morning a friend came by to drop me off a phone charger as I forgot mine, he asked the owner where my room was, my visitor (55 yo) was here for less than 5 mins, ❌❌ as soon as he left the owner approached & asked me what business he had here and scolded me, saying visitors are not welcome and that's the hotel policy, she said my guest looked undesirable and if she seen anyone else here I would be be asked to leave or she would call the police πŸ€” ❌❌ There's No signs or notes on booking info relating to a no visitor policy. πŸ€” I had other friends from Melbourne going to drop in to catch up at some stage but I now felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome here I actually forfeited one night and booked another hotel so I could welcome my friends.πŸ˜’ ❌ The hotel itself is old and very average, a bit shabby, could use some maintenance, small, only 12 rooms, cars park very close to room doors so you get woken up by closing car doors at all hours, room walls are thin, you can hear all noises including water and snoring etc from the next room, lucky I was at the end so only one room beside me but still was hard to get sleep πŸ’€ situated on a crn close to main roads and intersection so lots of traffic noise as well. ❌ not close to shopping or food ❌ Room Reasonably clean but not spotless like other reviews state, large cobwebs in bathroom roof corner full of dead insects, high places thick with dust, rubbish under bed ECT, ❌ mosquitoes in room, I had to go buy insect spray as the mosquitoes breed in the plants (bromeliads) water dishes that they keep full of water just out side the room entrance door and garden. ❌ Wifi very weak and slow ❌ Breakfast offered is pathetic , a small cereal box or a slice of toast ❌ If the manager was not such a sticky nose and more polite I would give this hotel 1.5 stars out of 5 rating, however my score now is 0 never before in over a hundred hotels Ive stayed in all over the be world have I come across an issue like this,. ❌ I was made to feel so very unwelcome and so uncomfortable that I left a night early. Im 60yo, quite and respectable & did nothing wrong to deserve this sort of treatment, ❌❌ I certainly would not under any circumstances recommend this hotel to anyone πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž β˜‘οΈ Room reasonable clean β˜‘οΈ Close to train β˜‘οΈ The bed was clean but not so comfortable, room had fridge and microwave, furniture was not to old n dated ❗ Nothing much good to say about the place there are much better budget options in the area as I found out

Very basic, whole place is very old & run down, but in saying that the room was clean, bed big & comfortable, water hot. Parking is tight, there is a good pub for meals close & location perfect. Nothing fancy but you get what you pay for.

Just got home from our 7 week road trip. Our first stop when we started out, was this very tired Clifton motel. Owners need a reality check. We were put in room 10. Didn't get much sleep, Very noisy fridge, right next to the bed. Very hard bed, she told me it was a 5 Star King bed? What a joke. Water pipe banging in the wall every time someone turned on the water and we had no hot water for a shower. Room was very warm and the remote for the aircon didn't work. Parking is fine if you own a motorcycle. Someone left for work at 6am and had to do an 8 point turn, right in front of our room, "as the space in the parking area is so small" and then he blew the horn when he left. This topped of our night here. It's a $60 room, not $95. The owner was not happy with me when I told him about our stay with them. His wife rang me the next day and gave me a big spray on the phone and reckoned I was wrong, none of the above really happened? Just make sure you don't park under or near the carport in the corner of the car park, there's only one piece of chain holding the whole thing up? A Disaster waiting to happen.

Found the room to be smaller then average.Ensuite is good size.Service was friendly warm and welcoming as I was on a bike. But others in cars who arrived later had difficulty with parking I would personally advise to reverse in.Continental breakfast is basic cereal, bread, toasted in the room with complimentary tea, coffee on arrival.I gave the room that I was in a 3 star due to being small and pokey.Would I stay again for $83 a night yes I would.Walking distance to shops, pub and other restaurants.Traffic was quite for a Friday night.

The rooms are basic but have everything you'd need. Everything works, good shower and staff are helpful. My only complaint is the WiFi in my room was not really working.

Exactly what it says on the cover. Cheap and cheerful. Clean rooms and nice and quiet. Only issue is the room I stayed in had the outside light on all night.

Excellent night's stay. Large, clean room in a quiet location, within easy walking distance of the CBD. Lovely hosts, who let us store our bags (due to train delay). Continental breakfast - cereal and toast - was a nice bonus.

These rooms were very clean with fresh clean betting and nice appearance. Management were very friendly and as we got in late at night made it easy for us access our room after hours. A very neat and tidy Art Deco type of motel with very good value for money.I have no hesitation recommending this motel .

Quaint, modest, very clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked the authentic, original layout, access and open ambience of the rooms. Obliging and kind hosts, nice to see honesty and consideration in vendors whom still take pride in their establishment.

Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for simple and affordable accommodation. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, and the bathroom is nice. Toiletries are provided as well as tea and coffee in the cupboard. There is a free simple breakfast and you can choose different cereals and toast options. The woman who runs the reception is lovely and very helpful as well!

This was a very good motel with friendly staff. I liked how we got breakfast delivered to us and the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The only thing that was a bit hard was getting in and out of the car park as it was pretty small, but otherwise it was a very good place to stay.

We stayed overnight and found the staff to be friendly and professional, very comfortable king size bed, quiet area, exceptionally clean and well maintained throughout, reverse cycle air conditioning, powerful hot shower and yes the floor gets a little wet - it is a bathroom! Breakfast delivered to your room and easy walking to restaurants and bars. Reminded us of a bygone era with the fly wire door still attached. We’ve stayed in 6 star hotels that don’t tick all these boxes! If you’re after value for money, look no further!

Perfect little place to break your journey between Sydney and Melbourne. Room has all the things you need. Paid 81 for 2 people which is great value for money. You also get a simple free breakfast with tea and coffee. 24 hour front office is run by a nice lady who welcomes you with a smile even 1am at night! Bit dated but you dont notice it since they have given great attention to cleanliness.

A quiet cosy motel. Lovely bed and good facilities. Very close to station restaurant, pubs and cinema. Staff very helpful. Will stay again for sure.

Rooms very small and very dated. Hairs were on the bed. Parking is very tight. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower was playing up, hot and cold. Get what you pay for I suppose, but I wouldn't stay here again even if it were free. Spend a bit more money, and go literally anywhere else
