This is place is seriously good. Its got it all. The food is amazing. And the general atmosphere and layout of the building is so comfortable. A must visit! The sausages & mash / Sunday roasts are top notch. If nice weather sitting outside is great too

Really lovely atmosphere in this pub! Staff were pleasant and food was good. Came for a Sunday Roast, car park was large but got full quickly! I somehow got given two Yorkshire puddings (not complaining) but did need to ask for more gravy. They very quickly brought another jug just how we like it. I really like how they have a variety of roasted vegetables and creamy vegetables with their roasts, plus all come with Yorkshire puddings. We shared the chocolate brownie with honeycomb ice-cream, it was incredible! Do not skip dessert! Will definitely come again.

First time visiting and I would 100% come back here. Huge seat setting available inside & outside (numerous heaters which is always a plus!). We ordered food from the main menu - fish & chips, roast chicken & beef burger. The portions are huge!! Very good value for money. No complaints with the food at all - probably the best pub food i have ever had! We went during the day and it was heaving but it was amazingly not noisy & didnt feel crowded at all. Staff were so friendly despite it being busy & the food came very quickly. If you are driving - there are 2 large parking lots with generous space just be careful when leaving as the joining road can get fairly tight.

It wasn't our first time for dinner and as always we weren't disappointed. Great food, good choices, great wine. Excellent service and atmosphere. This time we had our dinner inside but the meal in the garden is just soooo relaxing. Beautiful place.

This visit, was my first to The Onslow Arms, and the food was awesome! I don’t use that word very often but it was really good. My husband and son had the burger. I was surprised my husband liked it as he has very high standards but he was very impressed. I find it hard to get food that I like and I had two starters, chicken satay and goat cheese and beetroot salad, which were large and extremely tasty. My favourite was the chicken but the combination was great, and I’m glad I had a variety. Some of the starters are listed with a choice as a main, so make sure you don’t miss them as they are not listed under the mains. I can’t remember if the fish was cod or something else but it looked great and apparently was also great, and I’m tempted to try it next time. The puddings were also delicious. Fruit crumble, lemon posset, and I had fresh seasonal fruit with peach sorbet, which had a good variety of fruits and the sorbet was delicious and a respectable quality. (I have a pet hate/annoyance of ice cream / sorbet “scoops” being more like “scrapes” but this scoop lived up to its name) I’m already looking forward to going again. Car parking was very generous but the entrance is hard to see, if you are new here. We went on a Saturday lunch time, and the restaurant looked full.

Popped in for a bite to eat at lunch and it was quite busy for midweek, their large car park two thirds full. Nevertheless got seated easily and food arrived promptly. Food was hot and very tasty, service is professional will definitely go back with little dog who enjoyed som chicken schnitzel!!

Travelled to the area for work last weekend, just from the website this pub looked inviting so we decided to stop here for a late lunch! Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great selection of drinks and wide variety of food. The food had that extra attention to detail which sets this pub apart from others, while using local ingredients to enhance their dishes. The fish and chips had the addition of Samphire in the batter, elevating the taste, best I've had in a long time! Others on the table thoroughly enjoyed the special fishcakes and the burger with plum chutney and blue cheese. Beer garden had plenty of seating, there is also ample inside too. This pub had such a lovely feel to it, whether a local or just passing through like me, it's well worth a visit! Loved it!

We had a lovely dinner here on Saturday evening. Despite it being very busy, service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent, and the wine and beer were of excellent quality. Unfortunately we were too full up for pudding, but they looked incredible. We will definitely be back for a return visit!

Great team, Great venue, Great food. *Private Function We booked the function room upstairs for 15 adults and 6 children for a set menu over the Christmas period and we were very happy with the experience. The venue was busy but that had no effect on how long we waited for food or the service we received. I would highly recommend.

Great for a drink when the Sun is out. But it all stops there. Service is absolutely terrible. Have to wait in front of the bar blocking the entrance. Can’t order unless you find a table and have a number. Very basic menus with high prices. Staff can’t decide if there is a deal on or not? Week on week they have new policies and most staff are always confused and end up asking each other what is actually going on. Why not consider table service. That way the staff may actually receive a tip! Encouraging customer service. Rather than being artificially greeted by staff that make you feel they are ‘doing you a favour’

Our favourite Pub, my husband has been here since he was 8 yrs old. (He's 60 now 😅) Staff are very friendly and good service. Food is also good no matter what you ordered.

Excellent Burns Night celebration with live piper. Superb menu with delicious food. Lovely warm county pub with log fire. Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Local beers from Tillingbourne brewery. Saving up for another visit.

We recently got in touch with Amy at the Onslow Arms to arrange a dream come true day for one of our residents who formerly worked at The Onslow Arms. Amy and her team went above and beyond to create the perfect day for him. The service was impeccable, food absolutely delicious and customer service second to none. They really went the extra mile to ensure the day was filled with memories, one he will never forget. Thank you so much to all of you at The Onslow Arms for fulfilling this special dream and making us all feel so welcome.

Have been coming her for a good few years. Will not be rushing back. I encountered the rudest waitress ever, rushing around like headless chicken. Pub was almost empty on a Thursday evening, but they must have staffing issues as service was very bad. I think it is an issue with a lot of pubs in Surrey post covid and brexit, they can't get good staff. The Queens Head Clandon is also struggling to find good staff. Will need to go further afield to find better pubs.

Spent another lovely evening dining at the Onslow Arms. It's no surprise that this country pub is so popular. The owner welcomed us, and our table was perfect for two, next to the fireplace. The food here is consistently good, and there is a great selection of wines to choose from. The staff are always polite and efficient, whether you are just having a drink at the bar, or a full meal in one of the two dining areas. Dog owners can also bring their dogs, in the garden or bar area. A win all round.

Really enjoyed our evening here. It was a busy Saturday night so we were grateful to get a table. I used to dine here frequently many years ago but this was my first recent visit and I was pleased to see that the pub has retained its traditional, cosy charm. We didn’t want starters so just went for a couple of nibbles to start with- the olives were good but the crackling was absolutely fantastic! Such a naughty treat but it was well seasoned and a completely crunchy delight. We both ordered the 10oz rump steaks medium rare for our main course which we were pleased to see came with peppercorn sauce at no extra charge (unlike a lot of other establishments). Mine was a little blue in the middle so our server had the kitchen give it another little blast on the grill and when it came back, it was perfect. The only thing that I would say is that it would have been nice to have had something green on the plate (a few watercress leaves or a grilled tomato perhaps) but other than that, it was delicious and the chips were particularly good- they were nice and hot, crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy inside. But the best part of our meal was definitely the Black Forest sundae… utterly luxurious with lashings of whipped cream, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, cherry compote, chunks of brownie and the most fabulous chocolate sauce to finish it off! This dessert is a must try, in my opinion. Service was friendly and we’d definitely come back again so thank you to all of the team for a lovely evening.

Beautiful and spacious place. Family environment and pet friendly. My friend Vicente did the booking online and our table was ready with our name on it. -Star dish (Wild Mushrooms on Sourdough, cavolo nero, cream & truffle) -Star dessert (Lemon Posset) The food was great (we tried all the Sunday roasts (Lamb, Beef and Belly Pork), the Camembert starter, mushroom sourdough, rocket and parmesan salad. For desserts the Lemon Posset (my personal favourite), Chocolate Brownie and Black forest sundae. The cleaning is impeccable and toilets are bright, clean and had a diaper changing room apart from the toilets (very thoughtful). Service is really friendly even the place is extremely big. It has inside and outside seating. I highly recommend it.

Great garden for a summer day. Staff are friendly and attentive, although drinks service is slow. That being the case, it seems to be a back up at the bar rather than the overall service as food service was timely. Menu had a good selection of classic pub and British dishes. Good selection of wine. Would recommend

Once again, the Onslow and it’s wonderful staff did not disappoint on Christmas Day. I am always amazed at how cheerful and full of smiles the staff are as I’m sure they would prefer to be spending their Christmas Day with their own families. The food was delicious with the best roast potatoes I’ve had for a long time. They graciously catered for my food allergies and made sure we were comfortable with our seating in consideration of my dad and his dementia. A shoutout to our waitress who made the best passion fruit martini,🍸 We will be returning for our Christmas Day celebrations next year. Thank you again to the Onslow team🍾🎉

Located in a beautiful village near Guilford, this pub impresses on every level possible. Starting with more than ample parking, to you being greeted by friendly, courteous, welcoming staff and ends with generously proportioned, delicious food with a wide range of drinks and sides. And all of this at acceptably reasonable prices. A must visit pub if you are in and around Guildford and one I will definitely come back to soon.

We have been to Onslow Arms a couple of times. The food is always good so is the service. It does get crowded at times and you may have to wait to be served. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable for the food quality. The environment is pleasant both indoors and outdoors. It is a large place but has a cozy feeling about it. Well worth a visit.
