Great shopping centre with many shops inside toilets located upstairs along with the food court with food restaurants like subway KFC... It is also surround by many shops outside of the centre. Also have parking nearby but the spaces are a little bit of a squeeze. If your in town and need a bit of shopping it's with a trip down

Very busy shopping centre, across the bridge and not too far from the Guildford station. Most of the high street brands are represented here. The food court is at the top with a few choices " The Thai" one looks good

This was once a great shopping center but now it's nothing more than a short cut to cross roads and a car park. There used to be lots of different shops but now the shops have reduced in number and the few remaining are so big that it makes the little shops look like shoe boxes in comparison. Because of the low income housing and bus station their are so many travelers and thieves around that despite the low presents of security guards you'll still feel like just getting through in one piece.

Nice place. Have a great variety of stores, lots of unique stores to explore products. Never felt bored. Also there are lot of places to just sit and rest. I would recommend trying the Yogo and Bubble CiTea.

Clothing, jewellery, home, sunglasses, music, food, health and perfumes shops. A standard shopping centre, food courts on top floor. 4 stars because food court wasn't particularly clean and toilets leave a lot to be desired.

I have never seen anything like it: one huge building containing loads of shops. It's like one big shop made up out of a lot of little shops. What you might call a Swiss Army Shop. I reckon this idea might catch on. You mark my words, in ten or fifteen - maybe sixteen - years' time there'll be a good half a dozen similar places across the South East and even into Kent. I doubt if you'll see any north of Watford, though. Maybe one or two in Leeds but nowhere else.

It is usually a good experience, but I take a dim view of when security chooses to treat people who are taking photographs with such high degrees of suspicion. Most people do not take photographs for sinister reasons and want to share their experiences with others. It is disappointing when you take an interest in something, only to be regarded as some form of criminal. The World has changed immensely and it is interesting to see the way in which signs on the ground have been used to guide people and also to observe the degree to which this is being adhered. I do concede that there is a need for vigilance, but there also needs to be appreciation for the beauty of photography. What others find innocuous, others find interesting. It is an interesting mix of shops and usually very busy at the weekend. It would also be nice if the Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe could be expanded as the shop is quite small and usually extremely crowded.

    Very nice mall.

Shops ok but the route from the carpark leading to the muffin bar is a disgusting 1970's, un maintained, dirty state that is more like a poor inner London borough than a supposedly affluent town like Guildford. I will not park and take any visitors this route as I am so embarrassed by it.

The Friary is a typical shopping mall. All the main stores and brands are represented. Top floor is the food hall. Great it was there as it's a good shelter during the massive rain downpour.

  • 3/5 Eddie C. 4 months ago on Google • 112 reviews
The Friary is full of people. Maybe if they asked the people to stay at home, and let me walk around on my own, it would be more peaceful, and I could eat lunch more comfortably. In the meantime, the experience is like I'm a child at nursery again, in a war zone. A sort of multi-generation Vietnam conflict. Apart from that, great.

Regular rowdiness outside. I don't often go to Guildford, but when I do, it always seems lively! Today a bunch of kids started fighting at the entrance literally in between busy shoppers. The security guard just looked at them and smiled then walked away. They nearly punched someone walking into the Friary. Lol. The centre is nice and tidy and has a good mix of shops. It could have more toilets (down the other end of the centre so you don't have to go all the way back up/down to the escalators) but otherwise it's pretty good. The car park I usually use comes out directly into the shopping centre.

This is one of the best shopping centres. It is conveniently situated near the Guildford Bus and Train station, with many designer brand shops, including RI, Bubble Ci-Tea,Superdry, and many more. The parking lot is also easy to navigate and park your cars, where you enter a treasure trove of refreshments, meals, clothes, and much more to explore.

Great place for kids, teens, young adults and families. It has wide range of fashion clothing, accessories and a few shops for toys. My kids love the bubble tea on first floor. It has a decent sized food court. It is located next to the bus station while train station is a short walk. There are more parking places available over the weekends.

  • 5/5 Joseph R. 1 year ago on Google
Was a great place, not far from the train station, great selection of food chains, great selection of shops, all toilets were well looked after. Was a good trip and would go there again if I needed to visit some shops.

Went to the shopping mall with my niece and two great nieces , very disappointed with the level of security and safety around the Mc Donald’s area regarding teenagers, there was a fight with three teenagers kicking another while on the floor, it was chaos, it was very bewildering for the public and their safety especially around the escalators, while all this was going on one security officer just stood by as if it didn’t matter and looked upon the fight, I certainly would say to anyone asking, keep away from the shopping mall .

  • 5/5 Annette L. 1 year ago on Google
Great shopping centre . Lots of shops to look at . Wish I was closer it's better than fareham . Clean and tidy . Shame there wasn't toilets on all floors . They closed one set of toilets to clean them and didn't leave a sign out to tell people. Great food Hall a few to chose from .

As I haven't found many shopping centres, I was so excited to find this one. Not too big and really comfortable and easy to get around. As it's literally only 3 minute walk from the Guildford station it makes it the perfect place to pop in on these chilly days.

  • 4/5 Jeff T. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best shopping centre but does have some good shops in it.

  • 5/5 Emma G. 1 year ago on Google
Well laid out shopping centre in the heart of Guildford. Nice aesthetics, plenty of outlets including Primark, Zara, next , and eateries. Parking over the road in mscp and not bad prices either.

  • 3/5 Ivan G. 1 year ago on Google
The shipping centre provides different kinds of shops. Unfortunately, it hasn't changed much through the years and has become dull and boring. Top floor food court provides only fast food, and it is very busy and overcrowded.

  • 4/5 Durgahee Rejss (. 1 year ago on Google
Nice range of shops! Sometimes can get a little bit busy, but not that busy so quite a nice shopping centre! Also hidden disability friendly, with a quiet room!

  • 5/5 N B. 11 months ago on Google
Various shops on the ground and first floor with a food court on the third floor. Clean, airy and well maintained. Toilets, however, seem to have been forgotten. Water too hot, lack of soap and you are a genius if you can get the few hand dryers to actually work.

  • 4/5 Marcus P. 10 months ago on Google
A very lovely, safe and clean place to browse, shop, eat and socialize. Great selection of shops, the only down side is that most of the shops are 'high end big brand' stores.

  • 1/5 Nitro 9. 1 year ago on Google
Awful bland shopping centre - just like 99% of others. In response to the owner's comments, I would be happy to offer consultancy advice for a fee? In the meantime, I would recommend you start looking for a USP which makes your shopping centre a 'go to' destination as opposed to replicating every other shopping centre - unless you fight back against the Web you are going to suffer an irreversible decline.

  • 5/5 Richard Z. 1 year ago on Google
Convenient shopping center with modern high street brands such as Next and Costa coffee. The shopping center is located at the top of the high street, so you can walk through it to get access to the rest of the town Centre.

  • 4/5 clive p. 9 months ago on Google
Pretty good for a shopping centre, clean and tidy and toilets are ok. Staff can be over zealous in herding people around, but I guess it's hard work with so many people wandering around.

  • 5/5 Anthony P. 9 months ago on Google
Busy, bright, clean. Plenty of retailers and no empty shops. Places to eat and a Primark. Always worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Yaswanth M V S. 8 months ago on Google • 14 reviews
Variety of shops available in Friary. Would recommend Primark for some good prices.

  • 2/5 Nicky B. 2 years ago on Google
Another fairly soul less shopping 'mall' for the chavs to hang out in. Best avoided unless you desperately need to visit one of the multi national chain stores inside. I have lived in Guildford for over 10 years & actively avoid it. I have been in there a handful of times. I prefer to try & shop independently even though it's increasingly difficult because of places like this

  • 3/5 Fatimah A. 2 years ago on Google
It has some of the biggest brands you would might want to shop from such as primary Zara Skechers and so. It is still reasonably small but they do work to make it look nice every once in a while. Next Is reopening there as it was in the white lion before.

  • 5/5 roy t. 2 years ago on Google
The Friary has always been a big plus for me when shopping. Every thing you need is there and a good selection of eating places no need to go anywhere else.

  • 1/5 Adrian H. 2 years ago on Google
Lack of any decent shops. The only shops that seem to be here are expensive/top end selection of shoe shops, clothing shops or a selection of fast food outlets and coffee shops (minus HMV, a card shop and Primark). Not worth the visit.

  • 3/5 Dan S. 2 years ago on Google
It is an OK shopping centre over three floors, some good standard shops located here, not too much special and quite small compared to other shopping centres in London. Has a good food court on the top floor.

As with any shopping centre, absolutely recommend going during a week day if you can, but even at the weekends, there's plenty to do and plenty of open shops. Food court with a good variety on the top floor too, and lots of pride banners and support. Lovely to see.

Easy parking, spacious and v clean. Lots of security to help you around. Lifts and escalators. Zara, KG, primark, bubble tea and food court to say a few. No need to go out for shopping if it’s rain. 👍

  • 2/5 G T. 2 years ago on Google
I walk through this place. I rarely stop. It always has a kids playground feel about it being the only place for kids to hang out and trash the food court. Muffin Break is good though.

  • 5/5 Trudy B. 2 years ago on Google
Clean and tidy, lovely shops, lovely staff in those shops and a pleasant shopping trip.. I tend not to go out of the friary n surrounding area. You'll find alot of shops empty, its dirty and in desperate need of investment.

Wide Variety of Shops and Facilities for everyone to use... The Food Court on the upper level provides seating and a great selection of various food types... Toilets are located on the upper floor and the lower floor and the Friary staff that walk around that you may see are very friendly and helpful 👍

Very bright, very airy and like a miniature Westfield's. There is a good selection of shops and now Next has moved into what used to be Top Shop/Top Man makes the place feel more fuller. Parking is easy and not too expensive and has very good cleanliness.

  • 1/5 Simon C. 1 year ago on Google
No air con, unbearably hot and this was after the heatwave when it was raining outside! Most of the shops were similar so spent time trying to get out of the shopping centre into fresh air, the car park was like some kind of maze as well!

  • 5/5 Dylan T. 1 year ago on Google
Decent shopping centre with a good range of shops. Disabled Access, right by the Bus Station and a short walk from train station and the high street! The shopping centre stood where the Friary Brewery was hence the Friary Shopping centre is called this!!
