The staff are wonderful. Always smiling with pleasure. The food even at cairns prices do very well. After several (10) weeks of dinning my professional opinion recommend giving it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a fab stay at King Reef. The amenities are dated but clean & tidy. The camp sites large & not overcrowded. The only downside for us was the pool required some maintenance on the pebble-dashed surface as it was a little uncomfortable on the feet. The tavern food was delicious & the service fantastic (even made to order gluten-free pasta for my daughter) with fantastic views & sea breezes.

Stayed at the caravan park at a beachfront site. Sensational view. Reception staff were amazing as was the Maintenance staff. They were all very welcoming. Local caught fish lunch at the hotel was awesome. They were really flat out at the pub, but the service was still great. Great view from the beachfront pub also. Do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Fantastic stay here. Room and facilities are fantastic for the price we paid. Everything you need and then some. Great pillows and fluffy towels and a coffee pod machine. Then make sure you have dinner at the pub that was one of the best fish of the days I've ever had in my life. And not expensive - considering the quality ingredients and Michelin star quality and taste. We're planning our next visit. Thanks!

Feels like a rip off. To put it simple: The Caravan Park is tired and worn out (especially amenities), with parched grass, excessive dust, and a lack of love or care. The only positive aspect was the the pool and the friendly service encouraging patrons to visit the pub. The pup food is really good but paying $50 for a very dusty beachside concrete space felt like a rip-off. A better alternative can be found at Cowley Beach, where half the price provides a pleasant beachfront spot on green grass, hosted by a genuinely friendly gentleman. It's a much more appealing choice.

Had a beach site for 3 nights in our Caravan, very quiet and peaceful van park. Amenities are old but very clean, seems to be some ongoing reno works at the park which is a good sign. Nice little pub and cafe on site too which is a bonus, park is lacking a kids playground but there is one around 1km away near the stinger net along a nice beach track. Staff friendly and welcoming, would stay again.

A hidden gem on the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even helped you back onto your caravan site. All amenities, camp kitchen, laundry facilities & pool were very clean. Dinner at the hotel was excellent. It was good value for money. Great, barista made coffees at the cafe.

A young barmaid with an abnormally deep and meandering voice constantly avoided serving guests and messing up drinks. According to frequent patrons and friends of mine, she is relatively new and has already garnered quite a negative reputation among both customers and fellow staff alike. Other than that, the food was fantastic. Thanks.
