First of all, nobody even gives you anything to soft up the pain, not even for a regular pain. My mom and I were waiting for 5 HOURS! My mom was UNABLE to even walk and they did not give her at least an ointment or a pain killer. They just excused them as “not everybody has the same problem and there’s too many patents to give a diagnostic right away”. Such a good ER and a good emergency service is handed out. Also, the blonde girl in the reception must STOP being such a less caring person!

Run far, run fast, run wide. In pain of any kind don't come here. Have been starved, dehydrated, and left in pain by these people. When they find out you have medical training and can speak their language they still treat you like dirt. I may have gotten better service at my local Veterinarians office.

My father was hospitalized and it was frustrating having to deal with the front desk and waiting hours for him to get a room. In an emergency situation I wouldn’t go here again. However, I’m grateful for Dr. Chiangs and the nurses especially Francis who cared for my dad.

Very happy with the ER staff at Holy Name Hospital. We were taken care of every step of the way my all doctors and nurses. Never felt rushed, they took all the time needed to answer questions and put us at ease. Thank you! Btw the TV/Phone system is awesome. We watched two movies which helped to pass the time. I recommend this hospital over the big trauma one in Hackensack.

Gotta say the nurses are amazing in the emergency room. When my grandmother goes here they take care of her. My boyfriend was here Monday and they were amazing too him! Thank you holy name medical center for your caring and genuine heart that you guys have. I hate hospitals the smell and the bracelets I can’t stand them! But again you guys are the best. Turns out my boyfriend has a cold we were in and out in like 2 hrs maybe I don’t remember but they were so patient!

This hospital refused to give care to my father after he had broken his collar bone because he was not insured at the time. He is a pastor and the church treasurer was there and we were prepared to pay for his visit in cash, but the nurses went back and forth to the doctors on call that evening and we were told that they were all ‘unavailable.’ Not a single doctor came in to his room. They said that they could provide us with referrals to an orthopaedist but unfortunately because we had no insurance, the best they could do was give my dad an ibuprofen. This was pre-covid and over a year ago but my family and I were sitting together and just talking about this and I realized I never wrote a review. Holy Name Hospital has a billboard on Rt. 4, advertising how the quality of care there is second to none... how their patients come first, and every time I drive past it I boil with anger. Everyone deserves to know what kind of institution this is. They will turn you away, refuse any sort of care. Not even take scans. Instead they will take your vitals, give you some ibuprofen and still charge you $1700. The doctors and nurses that evening did not care about medicine or treating patients. They couldn’t see past the possibility of not being paid for their time. A disgrace.

Intake staff was courteous and professional. Reasonable wait time. Clean facilities. Doctor and nurse did a great job on my 4 year old’s stitches! The TV helped distract him. Thanks everyone!

I have been using this hospital since I was 18. They never seem to disappoint. It’s always very quick waiting process. The waiting room is rarely ever full and the time that you wait for a doctor is very short staff is super friendly. In comparison to other emergency rooms in the area, this one is definitely the best.

What happened to Dr. Elfayoumi??? Promised after admitting me onto the 4th floor that I was being treated for fecal impaction and prepped for a colonoscopy. After the prep failed I was discharged and went directly over to Newbridge Medical center. After 6wks without a bowel movement Holy Name doesn't consider that an emergency??? I give them 0 stars. What if it was you or your child?

Top notch care!!! The RN, Doctor, staff! We had to leave Meadowlands Hospital because their system was down since the night before at 3 a.m!!! We arrived at Holy Name and my son was seen immediately! Their ER is like no other in the area. I hope I don't need an ER again but if I do, straight to Holy Name.

We have been here for over 2 hours and all they keep saying is please wait for a room. I’ve been coming here for 30 years I’ve never seen them do this, everyone who came after us (about 3 people) went in before us. I know they say it’s based on severity but my daughter is in excruciating pain as well. The male secretary at the desk had an attitude when I asked him how much longer, he gave a few excuses and then he waved his hand in the air and told another gentleman, who seemed in charge, that “this is not his thing”, very unprofessional—So I stepped away. Go to Hackensack emergency room or to Englewood emergency, do not come here!

Unforgettable experience with Dr. Maria Orpoza. She treated my daughter with the outmost patience and respect. I appreciate her dedication in assuring my daughter was taken care of. Thank you to Dr. O and her nurses

My husband has been treated at Holy Name ER several times over the years. We can not say a bad word about the ER or the hospital in general. Kind and caring place.

Was there Sunday afternoon for my husband who as usual got hit with a Whammy of things. A big thanks to our nurse Monica for being so concerned and going the extra mile. Listening to everything we had to say as crazy as it sounded. Taking the PCR/including 29 viruses and making sure all tests were ordered. And a big thanks to Dr. Desai in cardiac for making sure we were taken care of & saying something to the effect “I’m not really sure what’s happening, as you have a lot going on, but all I can say is A HARD NO that your not going home….. of course everyone wishes they don’t have to be there, but since we did, we’re proud to have a store in the same town

I brought my 3 year old there versus another hospital with a children’s ER and I’m glad I did. We came just before 4 o’clock and the waiting room was empty, she was seen almost immediately and brought in to a room. The nurse, doctor, and every other staff was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. She was discharged around 8 o’clock after waiting for urine test and XR results. One of the most pleasant ER experiences I’ve had.

The best hospital I’ve ever been too, the nurses and Doctors are very kind, they attend to you immediately. Very helpful. They where overwhelmed with patients, but did their best to attend to everyone.

First time at Holy Name ER. So impressed. The staff was welcoming and kind. Nothing fancy, no statues or work of Art like Hackensack Univ. Stress free experience! I would go back there any time!!!! Good job Holy Name!

My experience at this emergency room was nothing short of amazing. From the patient transporters, the nurses, the techs, and the doctors, EACH person that helped me was amazing and kind. God bless all of the good work they do!

I was in the Emergency Department last Saturday December 16, 2023 for a swollen knee. Xray was done to me. I eventually discharged with papers. The next day I noticed that the result of the Xray was not on the discharge packet. So, I called back on the ED on December 17, 2023. Nurse Nadia of the ED answered the call with very rude attitude asking me why didn’t I stay in the ED to get the results. When you are sick, in pain and alone, it is hard to keep track of everything. The way she spoke to me is like talking in the ghetto streets which is very unprofessional. Also I could tell that she is not willing to help at all. Kindly reeducate your nurses about patient experience because the way she act is completely unacceptable.

Holy Name ambulance took my elderly mother to Valley hospital back in February of 2023. She was billed after insurance and paid. Received another bill in April that she overpaid. We are still waiting for the refund check. Her and myself have been calling and we get no where. If she owed them within 30 days it would have been thrown to collections demanding their money. Well she would like her money back!!!!! This is ridiculous.

The wait was formidable but that wasn't the hospital's fault. The nurses and doctors were super compassionate and responsive.
