Fathoms is a precious gem in the Port Washington area. While a small property with only six rooms, it is part of a larger residential property on the water’s edge with beautiful views. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Every detail is perfect, right down to the high-end amenities. The lobby is very “zen” reminding one of a luxurious spa. The bar area is well stocked with a wide range of organic teas, coffee, snacks and fully stocked refrigerator of juices, yogurt, etc. These are all available to guests 24 hours a day. For breakfast, guests have a wide selection of freshly baked goods including bagels and muffins, and an assortment of fresh fruits delivered to your room. Steve and Cindie have thought of every little detail to make your stay safe, comfortable, and memorable.

This hotel had it all. The beds are extremely comfy, rooms are beautiful, and best part is the staff! They’re exceptional! We can’t wait to go back. I was there for a work trip and everyone was extremely accommodating. They even had fresh breakfast daily for us from a local bakery.

Very comfortable and luxurious. Snack bar on offer 24/7, lovely continental breakfast (try the almond croissant!) and friendly, caring hosts. We visited when it was raining, but plan to return in nicer weather. The water views are fabulous! Highly recommend!

Fathoms is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Cindie and Steve. My family had reserved three rooms. They were luxurious with attention to details. Nice bathroom and great shower with plenty of towels and robes. Each had a beautiful view and private balcony outdoor seating. There were Sherpa blankets in each room for sitting on the balcony, which made it comfortable for us to sit outside and enjoy the view on a beautiful March day. The hotel provides a parking space for each room and you can help yourself to coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks. In the morning there are cereals and a choice of either a bagel, muffin or croissant. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay, and already have reservations to return.

Fathoms is a lovely boutique hotel with exceptionally personal service. The hosts, Steve and Cindie have created a luxurious, clean, home away from home for travelers. And they paired that with excellent knowledge of the area. We felt so welcome and so cared for. We had fresh bagels, muffins, tea, coffee, and even a delicious homemade cake one day. The water views are lovely. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. There are lots of restaurants nearby for dining. We were there for 4 nights. It was lovely in winter. I look forward to being there in the summer. We will definitely be back.

Loved every bit of our stay. The rooms, view and deck were all amazing. Steve and Cindie made sure everything was perfect. I’d go back in a minute. This is a really special place.

I don't usually write reviews, but had to publicly thank Steve and Cindie for the wonderful stay at the beautiful Fathoms Hotel & Marina. This is our second time staying at Fathoms. First time was in June for our son's graduation with our family. They treated our whole, occasionally motley crew, like welcomed friends. What an amazing experience! So amazing, when a favorite artist was playing at the Landmark Theatre in downtown Port Washington, we had to make the trip with special anticipation of staying at Fathoms again. We love a good luxury hotel and Fathoms ranks at the top of our list! Every detail is thought through so thoroughly and with such exquisite taste. From the Molton Brown toiletries, comfy robes, to sheets, towels and pillows so luxurious I had to ask where they get them, to the always available snacks, coffee and sodas, delicious breakfast pastry of your choice from the local bakery, then add impeccable furnishings to include a super cozy bed... We didn't want to leave! I haven't even mentioned the stunning views of Manhasset Harbour (see attached photos) or the fact that you can get to Grand Central Station in NYC on the Long Island Railroad in 47 minutes. Fathoms is a true gem and has set Port Washington as a get away destination for us (& we live in Florida!). Thank you, Steve and Cindie, for being such kind, genuine people and curating a wonderful vacation experience. We hope to be back soon!

My husband and I stayed at Fathoms for a weekend away. We had the best stay! The rooms were so clean, we were brought fresh pastries to our room each morning and their were snacks and coffee available all day. We had the most incredible view of the water and can't wait to come back

I needed a hotel near the courts, but everything was booked up. So I decided to go with a higher end stay (not the norm), and they made it easy for me to get my work done while having an amazing stay. Even their standard room has surrounding water views (tho I mostly looked at my laptop screen), and thankfully they had super fast internet (as fast as my office, which is fast). From their amazing service, to their spotless rooms, the place is truly a luxury hotel in a class of its own.

It's too bad Google doesn't allow TEN STARS for its reviews, because that's what we'd give The Fathoms Hotel & Marina. Imagine having a suite on the top deck of the world's most luxurious cruise liner -- complete with concierge recommendations for local touring -- and that is what the owners of this fabulous hotel provide. Fresh NY bagels every morning and wonderful snacks throughout the day, top-flight products in all the bathrooms, warm and comfy robes (we ended up buying two and taking them home!) and hospitality-plus. Our family has stayed in luxury hotels and resorts all over the world; but as they left Port Washington on our last morning, our kids said, from now on, they just want to pack up The Fathoms and take it with us wherever we go! We will be back!

This was my first solo trip and all I have to say is this was an amazing experience! Both Steve and Cindie are incredible people to meet along with the great services such as breakfast, providing recommendations for spots to visit, and especially the best pizza in town. I highly recommend visiting the hotel if you want to get out of the city. For my next visit I plan on brining my friends and family.

In my 20 years of business travel, my stay at Fathoms is one of the best hotel experiences in recent memory. The service and and friendly staff are unparalleled. The attention to detail and willingness to accommodate a guest go above and beyond. Not to mention the beautifully designed rooms and the sunset views of Manhasset Bay. I can't wait to visit again!

This was our return visit and no detail is not thought of. It is super comfortable and despite being in a very busy area, very quiet. Cindy and Steve Will accommodate your requests and go out of their way to get what you want. The only thing that was awkward was using the shared space to get coffee and water, snacks they so graciously supply. every single time we went into the space, Steve showed up out of nowhere. So getting ice, water, or anything, he showed up like they are watching your every move? Even sitting on the public deck feels like they are waiting for you to go to bed by 9 pm. We love the place but we felt watched even though we are super quiet and respectful.

What a find. We just returned from the first of hopefully many stays at Fathoms. The rooms are exquisite, and Cindie and Steve provided top of class service. I cannot believe this place is only a half hour from home we felt like we were on an island somewhere. We came in to see a show at the Landmark which is a 10 min walk, had a nice dinner at Louis Steakhouse right next store and returned to the nicest shower I've ever seen in a hotel. One suggestion, come early and enjoy. We arrived way to late!!!

This past weekend we celebrated my daughters wedding. Cindie and Steve helped to make this event even more special than we ever could have imagined.. Saying that their generosity and hospitality are second to none feels like an understatement. They took such remarkable care of our family. My son stayed at Fathoms on the night of their wedding and they said it was the perfect, serene and lovely place after the wild wonderful chaos of the day. The room was modern, comfortable and spotless. They enjoyed their own private balcony and watched the sunset over the sound. The host, Cindi, brought them a lovely basket of breakfast goodies that they enjoyed outside as well. Cindi was so warm and accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure my son and his new bride's stay was perfect. I could not recommend more highly.

The Fathom was one of the best hotel experience I have had in my 66 years. I have travel all over the world and Steve & Cindie provide a true best in class guest experience. Room was clean and well appointed, private deck was the stuff of vacation memories, and the amenities were outstanding. The owners are genuinely nice folks! It was an 11 out of 10 for us!

We stayed at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina while we were in town for a friend's wedding. I have traveled extensively over nearly 10 years both internationally and domestic, and I have never been as delighted with a hospitality experience as I was here. The owners and staff are attentive and committed to the finest details of the stay, and the space itself is warm, secure, welcoming, ultimately creating an experience that is as comfortable as staying with long-time friends. While I don't expect to be back to the area any time soon, I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know. My boyfriend legitimately asked if we could stay here when we need to travel to Manhattan for work (too far, unfortunately!!). The only tricky part of the stay is parking, however the owners have crafted finely detailed instructions to ensure a simple arrival for guests. 5 stars.

Could not have been more pleasantly surprised at how lovely this place was to stay. Steve and Cindie are fantastic hosts, and go out of their way to ensure their guests are satisfied. Rooms are well appointed, TV is Verizon FIOS, so no shortage of channels, and the continental breakfasts delivered daily to your door were delicious. And not to forget the self serve snack and beverage area in the lobby that was well stocked for adults and children alike. I would happily stay here again in a New York minute! Truly, truly enjoyed my stay. Thank you Steve and Cindie!

I gifted a night at Fathoms to my parents to celebrate a wedding anniversary. It was the perfect gift! They enjoyed the evening views of the sunset, easy stroll on the dock and to get ice cream. Then yummy breakfast on the private balcony overlooking the butterfly garden. Magical!

Best Hotel in Nassau! Love this place- absolutely everything about it. Hospitality, cleanliness and comfort. Sheets are amazing, snacks are amazing and they have Nespresso coffee! Both owners are so pleasant! Made sure to have a breakfast to go back for me as they knew I was leaving early. High Quality, High Service! Can't wait to go back!

This was our second time staying at the hotel but first time since Cindie and Steve bought it. All of their incredible little touches made the stay that much better. They’ve thought of everything from outdoor blankets and umbrellas in the room, to breakfast from a local bakery delivered to your door in the morning. Cindie found out it was my birthday and immediately sent champagne to our room. What a wonderful place in a great location. Highly recommend!

We can't say enough great things about staying at Fathoms. The location -- right on the water in Port Washington -- is so beautiful. The rooms are so comfortable and lovely, from the soft bedding, to the gorgeous, fully-stocked bathroom I want in my own home! The owners are the nicest, kindest people ever. They make you feel like family. On top of it all, you get the breakfast of your choice delivered to your room. We hated to leave this gem of a hotel, but we will return!

Cozy homely atmosphere created by a married couple. The atmosphere of the rooms is thought out to the smallest detail. You feel comfortable, you rest. Drinks (tea, coffee, cocoa, etc.) and snacks are offered free of charge at the reception. In the evening, you meet the sunset on a well-groomed pier with a cup of hot decaffeinated coffee to your taste. Thanks for our family trip, we are happy to celebrate our anniversary in your hotel!

Fathoms is a unique hotel experience in a sublime location. From the moment I arrived, Steve and Cindie were welcoming and accommodating. The room was so comfortable, especially the bathroom, which felt luxurious compared to my Brooklyn apartment. It was a quaint thrill to peek outside my room each morning for my personalized breakfast bundle, served in a reusable tote. In addition to complimentary breakfast, the hotel includes a kitchenette with snacks, yogurt, teas, and coffees for guests to partake in. Each evening offered a gorgeous sunset (see attached photos), which I enjoyed from the hotel's private deck. Steve and Cindie show a real interest in their guests, and it's clear that they care. This is a perfect getaway for New Yorkers who want to bask in some open air and escape the city for a bit, and it's so easy to get to!
