๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸFirst Time Customer and will return! I work in RVC and decided today I wanted something different so found Dunns on google โ€œfood near meโ€ & menu looked promising lots of yummy options. I ordered take out - Jerk Chicken with White Rice & Veggies with Sweet Plantains and it was definitely just as good as I thought it was going to be! I didnt even read the reviews just saw the pictures on the menu and decided this is tonights dinner! I am also not one to finish my dinner normally and saves half but let me tell you I ate the whole plate!! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was so warm and inviting. I placed the order over the phone and the friendly & informative attitude on the phone was lovely as well as the counter! Thank you for the delicious food and great customer service!! Will return! Highly recommend!! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Went with a friend...was my first time and she hadn't been there in years. Dinning area was modern and pleasant to sit in. The rum punch was stupendous (had pimento seed in it)! The Shrimp Mac & Cheese and Escoveitched Wings as sides/appetizers--superb! I'd never had anything like the two before...I recommend. My first entrรฉe was the brown stewed chicken...I took a bite and didn't like it--taste wasn't to my liking, but as soon as I told my waitress she asked me what I'd like instead...I told her the curry chicken and bam: the curry chicken was fabulous. Customer service was impeccable. I honestly am not used to being this satisfied at a west-indian restaurant--especially in the States, but I have to give credit where it is due...great food, creative menu, excellent drink, top-notch customer service and no dutty-ranking attitudes!

Had another fantastic experience at Dunns River in Rvc. S/O to Shari for holding us down. She's super friendly, made sure we had everything we needed down to the sauces. Rum punch was delightful. The food is excellent hats off to the chef .

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dunn's River Jamaican restaurant in Rockville Centre, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I stepped in, the decor struck me as both chic and inviting, setting the stage for a wonderful meal in a great ambiance. The food was simply outstanding โ€“ a delightful journey of flavors. Each dish was seasoned to perfection, capturing the essence of authentic Jamaican cuisine with a nice, spicy kick that tantalized my taste buds. The drinks complemented the meal beautifully, each sip as delicious and tasty as the last, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Parking at Dunn's River was an absolute breeze, which is always a bonus. Plus, its proximity to the LIRR train stop, just a block away, makes it incredibly convenient for anyone traveling by public transit. What truly set this restaurant apart, however, was the staff. Their service was impeccable, contributing significantly to the overall five-star experience. Each staff member was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about providing the best possible experience for their guests. In summary, Dunn's River Jamaican restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Rockville Centre looking for delicious food, great drinks, and an inviting atmosphere. Their combination of mouth-watering cuisine, exceptional service, and convenient location make them deserving of a solid five-star rating. I'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others!

Omg! Such a great Jamaican restaurant! So authentic. I was born and raised in the Caribbean so I know a thing or two about authentic west Indian cuisine and this is it! The ambiance is so nice. Lot of Jamaican artists framed on the walls. They love their culture. Beautiful to see. Full open bar. I had the mango passion fruit margarita. So delicious that I had two. I'm still dreaming of it. My fiancรฉ and I both had the oxtails. so much food but all so good. With a side of Mac and cheese also really really good. And re reasonably priced. Great service. My server Nichole was awesome. I'd def re visit!! 5 stars!!!!

I loved the atmosphere, the Bob Marley classics playing in the back, the warm and friendly staff, the of course the tasty food. I ordered the calalloo and saltfish with dumpling and green banana and a sorrel and ginger from their Sunday brunch menu. Will definitely be back for dinner another day

I want to shout out one of the servers/bartenders. I came in with my husband to order food to go and ended up having 2 drinks at the bar. Cassie took care of us and was so sweet and friendly! Exceptional customer service! Having great service like this is why I will continue to come back and support. Before I left I told her I have to write to the owner to send in a review! Give that girl a raise lol. Also that rum punch was strong and delicious! The best in town!

I absolutely love this place. Low key, laid back vibe. Amazing food with a variety of options including vegan and the drinks are delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My family and I have always had a great time with this establishment and the workers Will and Calicia ๐Ÿ’œ

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my dear friend. The food here is lovely and the staff friendly, professional, and very attentive. Especially, Nick, who made me the most awesome drink,'Good Fi Yuh Back' The atmosphere was relaxed and warm.

So I have been here a few times. Once during a Sunday brunch with my bestie back in 2013 which was good. Then I decided to do the new year here one year food was good. Then I came twice during the pandemic and was disappointed due to a take out order being wrong and then a time my rice tasted burnt. I decided to come back and give it another try. The place is upgraded with different seating arrangements which is okay just kinda close to the next person dining . Also the new chairs are not that comfortable. Service was kinda slow but that's expected because I believe I only saw two girls and they had to make the drinks and wait on the tables. Food was great this time no complaints! Drinks were okay there was a guy who made amazing drinks but he wasn't there and that was a time ago. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and I'm glad they are still up and running after all these years.

I walked into this restaurant to placed an order to go, before I could even finished placing the order I was told thereโ€™ll be a 40 minutes wait. I asked the host if the food was still being cooked as the wait time was a little excessive for just one order, plus the restaurant was half empty. She simply replied โ€œI could either wait or leave.โ€ So I just left hungry, I skipped lunch with my colleagues just so I could eat an oxtail dish from them as I enjoyed their food. I was extremely disappointed, and I wonโ€™t be going back.

It was a place to remember. The place was small. It was very clean. The music and the customer service were good. Food is not great. We all had the fish๐ŸŸ with plantain and festivals. The festivals were trash. The fish lack seasoning. Outside, the fish had some salt and paper nothing on the inside. The garnish was over saturated with the vinegar. Appetizers shrimp was good. The drinks were ok. 5/10 room for improvement. ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿงƒ

Pre and post pandemic, this place does not disappoint and has not lost its flavor. The food is absolutely delicious and the vibe is on point. Small inside but cozy. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend! The flavor of the food was delicious. We ordered the jerk chicken lunch plate and the jerk salmon. I knew this restaurant was going to be good when the sweet plaintain were actually sweet! The rice and peas were really delicious too. Not only was the food good but make sure you get the Tropical Storm Margarita. That coconut flavor made the drink instantly one of my favorites. The watermelon margarita was refreshing too. I appreciate that they are not stingy with the drink size too! The host was really kind and offered recommendations based on the type of drink we wanted. Great service, great music, and great food and drinks! I will be back again for my birthday! Yes, Iโ€™ll drag my butt from Brooklyn out to Long Island for this. Next time Iโ€™m going for the curry chicken and the macaroni.

I loved the oxtail, curry goat, and honey barbecue wings. Our waitress Shari was so nice and accommodating! She made my mom feel special on her birthday and I appreciate that. Will definitely be coming back.

Tasty Jamaican food and drink. I went there today for brunch. The cornmeal and the rum punch were too sweet. The mackerel run down was too salty. The curry chicken was a bit dry. The plantain was ok. The dumpling was the best part of the provisions. I skipped dessert to save calories. The service was satisfactory, and the owner was marvelous. I will certainly be back.

Took my mom here for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. Food was good. Vibe was great. Hats off to the hostess/server Shari. She really made the difference here. Such a warm personality, was helpful and made our evening wonderful while catering to other guests too. I would recommend this place.
