Reason some oncologists are poor in nature. It’s spotty here. Some are great. Dr. Solomon Has tons of experience. However, a mixed bag on the type of service. Sometimes has too many patients and the details of your course of chemo can be spotty at times. Some days excellent communication and therapeutic conversation. Other days- way too MANY patients and questions get pushed back/ not answered. Some days you have to wait endless amount of hours. You have an emergency and go here. Takes very long time then told after 4-5 hours of waiting- GO TO THE ER. UNACCEPTABLE. Just tell us go to the ER in the first place when we told you of the symptoms instead of waiting for hours on a 10 sec Eval. Doesn’t take care of the side effects of chemo or doesn’t even do a correct physical assessment. Cares only about chemo n lab work. I suggest YOU must see an internal medicine doctor at the same time- to get evaluated and treated appropriately. Amount of miscommunication is ALARMING. NP ( nurse practitioner) says who gave this specific med but in reality maybe shouldn’t get med. Now some ppl know it’s suppose to be given and some don’t. Quite confusing. Demoralizing. It’s not smooth. Do yourself a favor- go to the city. You will see how a true cancer runs. Go to NYU or Sloan- makes Maimo look amateurish. Nurses are great but so many patients to treat- and they do as told.

It was the worst place I ever dealt with. They were nasty and cruel. They threatened me and refused to treat me cause I knew too much and would not tolerate their attitude or behaviour. I'm still waiting for lawsuit, to be locked up or put away in mental facility. This happened when Corona first started over 3+ yrs ago. Also, I live in death zone not red zone South Brooklyn. I was over 55+ yrs old with severe preexisting conditions-high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, hypoglycemia, etc. They insisted that it was not their place or business what my other conditions are. I was being nice to give them 1 star way too many.

This place does not even deserve a star. Doctors are terrible. A friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer and this place took forever to schedule appointment. My friends cancer hurt him a lot and he was losing his Appetite and it got worst over the months. And has not gotten a treatment yet saying that He needs to check up everything and the scheduling takes for months and are slow. They are careless . One question for this place: how could you let a cancer patient wait for months? This is emergency life threatening pain not minor pain from a cut. This place is horrible and terrible. Would recommend you guys to other places not HERE!

Not the best hospital !Can cost you -life.Here is my story.I use to have regular cyst in my breast and came here for aspiration procedure. They aspirated the cyst and ( i was surprised) not send it for patology. They even not put me for mri or mamogram. So I ask doctor why they not send it for patology and she told me that " its looks like regular cyst and nothing to worry about" After 7 months its become Carcinoma. Thanks God I find another doctor and she did surgery for me .

I am doing pet/ct examination here, and the 2 girls at the front desk received me, they are very friendly and cordial. They also patiently communicate with people like me who don't speak English. The doctor who examined me was also very kind. I'm a bit socially phobic, but I don't feel bad here.

I had very pleasant service there. The staffs and Dr. Huang are professional and nice to talk to. The facility was clean. The only complaint was the wait being too long.

Today I was on hold for 56minutes, waiting to make a appointment for my infusion before I hung up. Still no appointment was made. This has never happened to me at NYU Langone. Bout to switch back there.

The triple negative breast cancer has been diagnosed on May 1,2018, at Maimonides Medical Center. A month later I had double mastectomy by one of the leading cancer surgeon in the nation, Dr. Donna M.Manasseh. She then recommended me to the Oncologist, Dr. Susan Burdette. I finished eight sections of chemo in October with her judgement and care. I was lucky to have PCP, Dr. Nona Roze who has been taking care of me for seventeen years and happened to be of course the best doctor too. She explained to me that Maimonides cancer center is an award-winning in the nation. Therefore, in my case, there was no delaying by confusion nor choosing doctors and hospitals. My gratitude towards them will be with me for the rest of my life.

This place is the best. The doctors are interested and caring and make you feel as if you are their only patient. They are extremely efficient and saved me from a double mastectomy when I was misdiagnosed by another hospital. This is a place that I trust.

Worst customer service when it come to book or change an appointment.. it took me 3 months to be able to make an appointment.. my sister get chemo infusion every 2 weeks.. she was unable to get I fusion for 3 months.. coz they r short staff.. no one able to answer the phone.. The phone never been answered.. if answered put on hold for over 15 min .. get frustrated and hang up,., when they tell I we will call u back leave a voice mail.., of course u hear no call back.. workers there so careless.. they don’t deserve to work with these sick people. If u or some one u live have cancer .. do t go there.. cancer will beat u before u can get help.
