This is my first Google review so one can understand the effort. I was taking a cheat day from my diet today and I felt CHEATED! We spent ~$100(including tip) and the food was completely tasteless and worthless. We have been to this place before, not sure what happened today. The chicken and goat was barely cooked and food was bland by American standards(despite asking for a spicy food). We complained but no one paid attention. Stay away from this place. This is not the place it used to be. And stay away on weekends. Their cooks are too busy to completely cook your order.

Why is this place have 4+ Rating?? Or did I just order on an off day?? Samosas were decent. Butter Garlic Crab tasted good but where is the Crab? It was minced Crab meat, instead of Crab with shell, and I felt it tasted more like imitation crab than Blue Crab. I would still give them the benefit of doubt for that. But the Dum Pukht Lamb Biryani was such a huge disappointment. Rice barely had any flavor and was too dry. As to Lamb, I couldn't even cut it with a knife (see video). It was literally like chewing a cardboard. Do people really like Biryani from here??

We went to Delhi Accent on Sunday evening (free parking in Ridgewood on Sunday), got seated right away. They Restaurent has beautiful interior, but found the lighting little too dark. We were welcomed with complementary Papadum and sauces (tamarind and mint). They have a decent menu, alongside a Chef's special menu. We ordered several appetizers and entree items. Appetizers items came out pretty fast but the main course took almost 40 minutes to come out. Was surprised that it took so long. The items we tried are: Veg Samosa - 3/5 Delhi Chaat - 4/5 Chicken Tikka Masala - 3/5 (full of bell peppers and spicy :O) Goan Shrimp Curry - 2/5 Dum Phukt Chicken Biryani - 5/5 (the best dish of the night, and the saving grace of the dinner). It had sweet aroma, chicken was tender and tasty. The naan on top was puffy and soft. We had a good experience in terms of service. The owner/manager checked with us couple of times and others were also helpful throughout the dinner. Overall our experience: Food taste - 4/5 Food prep time - 2/5 Service - 4/5 Price - $$$ Restroom - 5/5

My boyfriend and I dined outside this afternoon and while we are not normally ones to write reviews, we absolutely had to this time. When we arrived, we were seated quickly and since we are both big fans of Indian food, we decided to order multiple small plates so we could try as much as possible. Our server, Abhisbek, was amazing!! When we told him we wanted to order a bunch of small plates, he helped us pick out each one so it would be the best sampling of what they have to offer. He also checked in frequently with us and gave us tips on how to best enjoy our dishes by telling us which sauces to use with which dish. The food was absolutely next level and honestly, the best Indian food we both have ever had. Every single dish was just as good as the last. We loved it so much, we asked whether they sold bottles of their chutneys and turns out, they did! They also sell their homemade sauces. So naturally we had to stock up! We will definitely be back!!!

Amazing food. Friendly staff and great location. Loved everything :) if you didn’t try food here yet, please go head an try it. You don’t want to miss it. They have parent restaurant call Tashan in Parsippany. You should try their food too. It’s not like a Domino’s and Domino’s. Both restaurants has different options and taste. You should try it. Can’t wait explore their other two restaurants. Such an friendly and family environment. Enjoyed the food at both place.

We selected Delhi accent to celebrate a special occasion, made reservations ahead of time. We were charged $100 deposit which was deducted from our total bill. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit over the weekend as the place was busy with folks waiting in line. We were immediately seated per our reservation in a nice quiet corner table as requested. The place was dimly lit, and had a great ambience. The staff was professional and friendly, and shared great recommendations. I've broken down ratings by the dishes we ordered: Appetizers: Palak Chaat - 4/5 (little greasy for my liking but delicious!) Pickled mushrooms - 5/5 Pudina Paneer Tikka - 5/5 (the portion size was generous) Entreé: Kurkuri Bhindi - 6/5 - was absolutely delicious! Methi Paneer Toast - 6/6 - again absolutely delicious Dal Bukhara - 5/5 - delicious and hearty Breads: Garlic naan - 5/5 - was an amazing size! Truffle cheese naan - 4/5 - tiny bit dry Drinks: Mango lassi - 3/5 - could be better! Overall we really enjoyed the experience, food and the service. Definitely highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an Indian restaurant in the area.

Saturday night dinner. Food was delicious. Best Indian in a bit. Started off with veggie samosa, crab meat, chaak with pomegranate and crispy spinach. The truffle goat cheese naan was to die for. Never go wrong with tiki mansala. Service was slow. Waiter only came over once all food was served and then at the end for check. Food brought out as ready. Would have liked the naan with the apps. $7 for still water, had to ask the food runners for more. Overall very happy with the food and would come back. Attire - nice, casual. Elegant inside. Dim lighting. Small lobby.

I can't believe it took us this long to try this place. The food here is absolutely delicious. While their menu may not be as voluminous as other Indian restaurants in the area every single thing we had was fantastic. Two things that were absolutely outstanding... The first was a mushroom appetizer in a truffle sauce. Yes it sounds something more akin to a French restaurant but trust me this has nothing but Indian flavors, and I probably would have ordered three more orders of it and just had that for dinner if that's all I tried. It was on the specials menu but the owner said that it's almost always on the specials menu. The second item was an entree and was a tandoori grilled bronzino, covered with Indian spices over a bed of lemon rice. I'm usually a little nervous or hesitant about ordering grilled fish out as the tendency is for it to get dried out. This dish was fantastic It was moist flavorful and completely unexpected. But we will definitely be ordering this every time we go back. All the normal standards are also on the menu but try some of their specials. We went about 6:30 on a Friday night and when we first got there it wasn't too crowded at all by the time we left the place was packed... So especially for busy times reservations are probably required or at the very least suggested.

If you love Indian food and enjoy creative and delicious expressions of it - give this excellent restaurant a go. You will not regret it. Go to foods : kebab trio (🤤), mango avocado bhel and the crispy spinach (can't recall the exact name). If you like a bit of spice, order (as many portions as possible) the lasooni gobi (garlic cauliflower) . Nom nom nom. Do . Not. Miss.

Our first time here today for my birthday dinner. I am very picky about who I leave a review for and am very critical about the observations I make. The staff was super understanding and helpful throughout. Very accommodating to our taste and needs and guided us through the portions and menu. The food was absolutely delicious. Loved everything. Definitely returning. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The best Indian food I’ve ever had. Owner is super friendly! I recommend the Dal Budkhara and the Anjeera Kofte with the garlic naan! 11/10

Absolutely excellent! We dined on a Friday evening outside, our waiter was super informed on the menu and recommended the perfect appetizers and entrees! The lamb chops were divine, it’s been a couple of days and I’ve been raving about them to anyone who will listen. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend dining at Delhi Accent.

Really good! Ate outside (Covid situation) but the staff was excellent, took good care of us, and handled everything safely. Got a few apps and dinners. All the food was good, hot, fresh and really tasty. Enjoyed this, and will do again, especially take out :)

I've never had the pleasure of sitting in the restaurant and experiencing its ambiance but I've ordered from here several times and the food has been nothing short of amazing! They have several vegetarian options and I'm excited to work my way through those options. The food is flavorful, uniquely satisfying, and filling... a must try!

Butter chicken was good but pricey (Paid $24). On the menu it says $18 but that was only for dine in, wish I had known. My friends tried their special thali (fish and goat curry) and they loved it. Quick service and nice staff.

I have been to few Indian restaurants here in Jersey in 15yrs and this one definitely tops all, it was NYC experience in jersey and now they are opening one in Montclair so close to home I love it.. We went on a Monday and the service was amazing i will say the regular paneer and chicken were just alright, but their spl were off the hook... Palak chaat is a must try with the Dessert sampler!! my phone/photography skills doesn't do justice

Delicious food, Great service and modern decor. Anjeer kofte and mint paneer tikka were delicious. Naan is big and delicious. Will def go back to the place.

Great food. The okra appetizer was great but on the spicy side. Loved the extra large naan. The decor is so cute!

This review is based on the many times I've been here. Whether it be coming in an hour before closing (gotta have it!), getting takeout, or ordering through UberEats, this is my go- to Indian restaurant. I always get something different every time and every dish has been delicious. My family and I definitely ventured our way from Tikka Masala. Whether it be the cherry- nut bread (peshawri naan), or the flavorful & savory fig dish Anjeer Kofte, to Chicken Saagwala, this place does NOT fail. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience every time! Looking forward to completing your whole menu!!!

We went to Delhi Accent today and it was excellent, as always! Our server, Edward, was the perfect combination of friendliness and professionalism. The food and ambiance were outstanding, too. We tried Bhindi Bukhara for the first time, and definitely will order it again. Many restaurants say “innovative,” but this one truly is.

  • 5/5 Christine G. 2 years ago on Google
I’ve only ordered take out from their lunch menu, but it was so delicious. Me and my boyfriend don’t eat Indian food very often to be honest, but it was my boyfriend’s first time ordering it and he loved it. He’s so excited to have it again soon :) We had the chicken tikka masala and lamb kati roll. Really reasonable prices on lunch menu for a really good amount of food. We were both so full and happy. I’m really happy we gave this place a go, we’ll be coming back often!

All food is just average. Chicken tikka masala is pretty good, but don't order tandoori chicken

New fave spot when craving butter chicken! Very close flavors and the naan’s complement it perfectly. Cute place too. Our server was kind and made sure that we didn’t order too many naan’s since they are big and he was right. They were huge and 1 was enough for the 2 of us (dinner portion) Will definitely be back.

Love the food, ambience, and the service. We got laaunj gobi, HUGE garlic naan, kadai paneer, and rasamalai. Love their chutneys as well. I would highly recommend it.

I came to have my birthday dinner and by the end of the night I was not happy. The service is subpar and honestly tarnished my whole experience. The first time I came our server was very nice and I enjoyed my experience. But, after this encounter its safe to say it’s my last time coming and recommending it to anyone. The whole time our server had an attitude and seemed like he did not want to be there. We had questions about the food and he looked bothered by them (which caused us not to order more). He also dropped the checkbook and laughed about it with a coworker after I picked it up from the floor. I also caught him pointing at my sister when she got up to use the bathroom. Absolutely horrible experience. Date of visit: 10/12/22 @ 5:30pm

Delhi Accent isn’t just another ordinary Indian Cuisine. This is one of the best hidden gems in NJ. You won’t find any better food when it comes to traditional Indian kitchen anywhere else. Huge menu let’s You discover everything what Delhi kitchen has to offer. Father and Son runned restaurants from New Delhi to New Jersey. A must try ! Palak Chaat is a must have for starter. Enjoy

Food was absolutely phenomenal. Ambiance was superb. I just wish they’d add proper chai to the menu! That’s my only gripe! 😁. Nonetheless the service was great, food was delicious. Owner (the son) came to our table and took the time to speak with us. Very happy with everything. Looking forward to coming back to this establishment again and I recommend everyone go here and try it out.

Love this place so much! There are so many interesting options, it’s not your typical Indian food. Service is great too, this place feels so fancy! I give it five stars and have been here many times.

  • 3/5 Sona 1 year ago on Google
It was an okay restaurant and a very expensive one too. Spent about 45 dollars per person and we didn't even order a lot . I didn't feel the food was worth the price. Maybe it's a very expensive area where all restaurants serve pricey foods even if the food is only okay.

Incredible food. Amazing owners. World class service. Raja Uncle and Akshay truly became part of the family when they participated in my sisters wedding in 2009, my wedding in 2014, and my brothers in 2018. The top Indian caterers in the region, they will provide everyone with dedicated, trusted, and high quality food and experience. For my sister and my wedding, they built a kitchen in a tent at my parents home and created the most magical culinary experience for our guests for breakfast, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner. Every guest left raving about the food, which is the biggest part of the wedding experience. We recommend them to everyone we know and you will surely be so thrilled if you choose them for any event!

Food is fine-dining quality at a good price. Great aesthetic, modern menu, and it was pretty much the best indian kabab plate I've ever had. I showed up a little early since I was in the neighborhood and the charismatic owner showed me the renovations he was planning while I waited. One thing- don't order on Google! I was tipped off that the ordering system online diverts funds from the restaurant. Order directly from their website instead!

  • 5/5 Vadim V. 3 years ago on Google
Enjoyed our dinner in this restaurant: goat curry was excellent, both taste and presentation. My daughter ordered a chicken dish which she said was great as well. They also make a special dessert which is presented by their dessert chef - finger licking and not heavy, and fabulously presented. Very much liked their interior and vibe: an airy place, nicely decorated, upscale feel. Important to me: often after an Indian restaurant you are thirsty, heartburn etc - not after Deli Accent, felt great afterwards as well! Recommendation: expand and innovate appetizer menu a bit, on our visit it included those “standards” that all Indian restaurants are offering. We ordered small pastries with veggies and meats and these were same as everywhere. Not to forget service - friendly and fast and were greeted by the owner! All is all, great food, ambiance - for sure coming back. Nice addition to the Ridgewood food scene - wish them succeed and stay.

This Authentic Indian Restaurant is situated in the perfect location where there is so much happening around. They have the best waiters who give the best service at all times. The owner checked up on us each time a new dish came out. A great selection of food that has a modern twist to it. Highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very chummy and the food they place on your table is so delicious. I never decline to have a decent meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

First time here was good second a mess. It’s pretty inside but they cut corners with food. First time the food was good and spice levels perfect. When I came second time both dishes I ordered were very bland and lukewarm (had to send back first one and second was worse than the first). I was confused are they really calling this Indian food? I was almost offended. I’m Caucasian but living in north nj Ive had decent Indian food and this isn’t it. It’s also crazy that the waiter recommended a dish to me that was very bland when I specifically Asked for something more flavorful after sending the first one back. Also they don’t listen when you ask for spicy. Both of my dishes were not spicy. Maybe it’s just reheated in a microwave which I’m suspecting is the case. The naan and rice were sitting there getting cold while I was waiting for my second replaced dish to arrive. The waiter didn’t even bother to offer to warm them up let alone replace them. This restaurant is clearly meant for people who never had Indian food. It draws you in with pretty decor but the food is horrible. I expected more effort on their part to make sure customer is happy but they’re lazy and clueless. I won’t come back here sorry.

Food was below average. Goat biryani had no goat, but rather lamb. Rice in the biryani was watered down. I can’t believe they charge $25 for such a biryani and sell lamb but call it goat! We also order the kabab trio from appetizer, only 3 pieces of kabab for $11. Basmati rice was too soft and watery. Chilli chicken was the worst of all. We ate only one piece and threw the rest away. Complete waste of another $11. Raita and vegetable samosa were the best part of my order. In all, avoid this place.

I cannot say enough positive things about Delhi Accent and its amazing owner! He went above and beyond to make sure I got my delicious food delivered quickly after I mentioned that I'd had a long day at school. The food was delivered hot, fresh, and honestly it was the most delicious Bhindi Masala I have ever had! The owner also recommended their new Truffle Naan Bread which was so incredible. I’m not really too active with reviews, but this place was incredible. Our server, Abhishek, was so knowledgeable about the menu and helpful when ordering. I almost felt like he was the chef himself! The food was delicious! All of his recommendations fit both mine and my husbands different tastes. I will definitely be going back. We also felt super safe-covid considering. Very clean and great spacing inside. They let us sit wherever we wanted and we very considerate of people’s requests as they came in. Also had hand sanitizer at the door.

Delhi accent is an excellent Indian restaurant located in Ridgewood. The food has an authentic taste with an innovative twist! The decor and ambiance inside are also a great touch to the restaurant, making it a perfect date night spot or a place to go with your family. I’ve been here for lunch, dinner, and most recently for brunch. The service is always great and the staff are always so pleasant (shout out to Abhishek). Whether it’s been a dinner date with my sister or dinner with my entire family (including 6 adults and 4 toddlers) we have never had a bad experience. From the adults to the kids, everyone in my family loves this place! Even during Covid, the service and quality of food has remained excellent. All the workers are wearing masks and taking the appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their guests. The owner Akshay is an awesome guy and knows how to keep his customers happy! He is also very accommodating and will give you the best recommendations. Some of my favorite dishes here are the palak chaat, butter chicken lollipop, chili chicken, and dum lamb biryani! Most recently, we had the naan filled with goat cheese and truffle oil on top- AMAZING!!! You also can’t leave this place without getting their in house made paan masala ice cream for dessert, and this is coming from someone who does not like anything paan flavored! This restaurant is also BYOB and has a liquor store around the corner! If you are reading this review, I highly recommend you try this place!

Very pleasant atmosphere, appetizers were great (lamp chops were perfection) and the spice level was appreciated by this lady. The only thing I would ask is to maybe and this is just me, making the calamari more flavorful and always undercook it by a few minutes, it carries heat while in transit to the table. The Dum Phukt Chicken Biryani was very aromatic and my favorite was the truffle oil goat cheese naan. You are introducing my favorite charcuterie ingredients to mainstream Indian food and I am in love, wish you were closer to Montville. Thank you for a great evening.
