Mooyah! In Old Tappan, NJ! What happened to you? Your food used to be fresh and delicious. Yesterday, my fries looked and tasted as if they had been soaking in days old grease. What were the grill marks on the fries? Was that from sitting too long in the fryer’s basket? My hamburger was good. I would have given 2 1/2 stars if that was an option because of the burger. But since it isn’t, and I am mostly a fry girl, my rating is two stars. Based on the fries alone would be NO stars. My tongue feels like I have a coating of grease on it that needs to be scraped off. Yuck! Mooyah, you have lost my trust

These burgers are high quality, juicy and packed with flavor. Fries and queso is fantastic as well and staff are always friendly. Food comes extremely fast as well. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Delicious burgers and milkshakes. Very friendly staff. You can get gluten-free bun or lettuce. It’s a family burger place. Every time you come in Everyone knows what you like to order.

It’s like your usual burger chain- Five Guys, Shake Shack. Pretty consistent as far as food quality and service which is nice. They do not skimp on the various sizes of fries 👍

Today I went to Mooyah for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The service was top notch, Katherine was very helpful with menu recommendations and accommodating to all my needs. The owner was also very coming and made sure that I was well taken care of. But most importantly, the food was delicious, the flavors were well balanced and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend this mooyah over any other burger joint because of there great food and excellent service

Checked out there Skillman, NJ location a month ago. This location has the same great burgers, fries and shakes. We tried their sweet potato fries and shoestring onion rings, both were very good😋. Staff was very nice and efficient.

I ordered the Pretzel Burger. The bun was soggy. I was excited about the loaded fries but they also were very soggy and it appeared the toppings were thrown on as an afterthought. Very disappointed for flat burgers and soggy fries. $31 down the drain. Won't be going back. UPDATE I did receive an email from Mooyah asking for my contact information in order to "make things right" That was November 6. Follow up is important....almost as important as checking in on your restaurants to see if there is something that needs to be improved.

Very underwhelming burger. Basically just a bad version of five Guys. The soda came out of the machine. Warm and doesn't have enough syrup at all. The fries are very soggy and weird. And for something that would have cost $22 for a meal. Not worth it, even with the free promotion in the app. Go somewhere else

Really good food. I wish the manager wouldn’t harass me constantly though about downloading the mooyah app everytime I go. I just want to get my food and get back to my life without having to explain why I don’t have a burger app on my phone.

Burgers were excellent but the fries are mediocre— overall very tasty and a large menu with lots of burgers and toppings to customize to your liking and typical prices. I got the “secret menu” onion burger with a personal-size side of fries and it was very good; a little smaller than Five Guys, but filling with all the toppings. I upgraded for $1 to a pretzel bun. Person I went with got the turkey burger and enjoyed it. My meal was about $18, including a fountain drink Some others have described the fries here as soggy — they’re just not crispy enough, combined with being a thicker-style cut (similar to Five Guys but just undercooked in comparison). If I went back, I’d ask they cook mine longer so they’re crispier. I’m not asking for crunchy or burnt, but these need a little something more. Good flavor — they have bags of Idaho potatoes at the front door— but mediocre at best based on how they’re prepared. For example, Wendy’s has a similar cut but they’re crispy, McDonald’s is thinner and crispier, etc. Fries are terrible for you so if I’m gonna blow calories on em, I want them to be worth it I’d like to see a grilled chicken sandwich on the menu — I realize this is a chain brand but adding a little more variety and lower-calorie options to the menu would be nice. For comparison, Smashburger and Habit have grilled options This location is within a shopping plaza with tons of parking and easy access. I drove from Rockland County and it was an easy drive. I went in December but it appears there’s outdoor seating in warmer weather. The staff was friendly and delivered the orders to our table. There’s plenty of seating, the location was clean, they have some TVs and a Coca-Cola fountain along with lemonade and Gold Peak teas. Every table had a bottle of Heinz ketchup and napkins, which was nice. There is a chicken tender sandwich but it’s not actually shown on the in-store menu above the register, which is confusing. Overall enjoyable with some potential for improvement

40 bux for one hot dog one burger and 2 small shakes!! And the burgers cheese looks like it was melted an hour before I got there

Old Tappan location - Food remarkably lacking in taste. Grilled cheese with bacon was about 1/4 inch thick, total! Almost certainly out of microwave. Soggy, simply bad, flavorless french fries. The container at McDonalds tastes better. Will not repeat, and I live within a mile.

Solid (but not spectacular) burgers, hot dogs and fries. Enjoyed the lettuce-wrapped Lifestyle Burgers. A step up from other fast-food options but not necessarily worth a special visit. When I went (weekday night) the place was packed with different groups of teenagers coming and going -- seems like a hit with high schoolers. Lots of to-go / pickup traffic as well.

Honestly I expected a lot more for the prices. Came for Two orders of the Family deal (4 cheeseburgers and fries) ....Was it all hype, not sure but burgers were much smaller than I expected and not as juicy as expected. Buns did not feel or taste fresh.. Although the burger patties themselves seemed fresh, I think Shake shack, Bareburger and even Bobby Flays burgers much better (more flavor & juicier), IMO. Fries ok but not crispy. Disappointed and I cannot see returning. You decide but i found nothing amazing here....Quality or Price.

MOOYAH always has great food and service. Plenty of selections of condiments and a very courteous staff.

To the owner, your supervisor Maria refuses to put the shades down for no apparent reason. I asked to put the shade down but she said no, whats the point of having curtains if you wont use them? Absolutely Ridiculous. I even asked why and the employee just shrugged. Its very uncomfortable to eat there when the sun is blasting down on you. What is her problem? Why is that so difficult for her?

This was our first time visiting a Mooyah and I must say that the food was tasty, the shakes delish but the staff at the Old Tappan location was what made the experience the best. We would definitely go back just because of the service!

Everyone here in Old Tappan is so pleasant and helpful. Always with a smile when picking up curbside. The manager here will know your name. The food is great and so fresh! One of my go tos in a hurry.

Great burgers but better staff. Ordered crispy fries and they made a batch for me. Burger is very good and would suggest trying it for yourself, you will not be disappointed

Incredible food taste and quality. A great array of options for vegans and meat eaters to be excited about. Manager and staff were very friendly.
