I absolutely adore Dr. Amber. The whole staff at Charlotte street have been amazing over the five years I have been taking my cats there. They have been great about following up for regular check ups and always manage to get me in under unexpected circumstances and take the best care of my cats. My cat loves Dr. Amber. She is a natural with animals and genuinely cares about the animals and the people. Nothing goes unnoticed or dismissed and I know she’s very honest with everything. My cat is aging and while that comes with some new things like arthritis or signs of aging, I feel at peace with all the advice I am given by Dr. Amber on how to better my cats quality of life. I feel like I learn ten new things every time I go because she is so hands on and really takes the time to explain everything, while also showing Sunshine so much love. I cannot say enough about Charlotte Street and Dr. Amber.

Very professional staff and always friendly, patient and kind. Dr. Amber is AMAZING. She took time to get to know and understand my very anxious dog and has helped tremendously in his behavior and how I interact and understand him. She and her team are honest and present all options as well as explaining the 'why' behind their recommendations. Very appreciative of this vet :)

These guys are great. So compassionate and always helpful when it comes to taking care of our cat (Ellis) and our dog (Buddy). Buddy is very needy and has cluster seizures about every 5 weeks and the guys here are always helpful whenever he needs anything including his medicine.

Dr Scully, Skylar and the Entire Team @ Charlotte Street Animal Hospital Has been amazing! They could not have given an more prompt and amazing customer service. As a visitor staying for 10 days in Asheville I found myself in need of a veterinarian for my puppy Bozzie. CSAH “Found the Time” to squeeze me in and it was genuinely service with a smile 😊 As a frequent visitor to this great city you can be sure that I will utilize their services again in the future, not to mention just how highly I’ve already recommended them to others. It is No Wonder they were voted BEST in 2021 for the City of Asheville!

The team provided exceptional service and was very focused on the comfort of my service dog! They did everything in the exam room (without even asking!). My service dog does not have separation anxiety, but if I were bringing in my family dog, this would be a god-send! Honestly, I don't think he even realised he was at the vet because everyone was so gentle and kind to him. They were also kind to me. The vet answered all my questions 10x over and took extra time to reassure me. Overall, an amazing experience! I think this will be my primary vet from now on!

No matter how busy they are (and they are often quite busy), the staff here always make me feel like I’m the only person in the room. Even when I call and need to wait on hold for a bit, when someone answers they always exhibit incredible patience and willingness to help. My pet has had exceptional care here, including follow-up phone calls and emails to check on him during at-home treatment. Everyone here cares deeply about the customers and animals they serve.

We took our Bailey in for likely her last vet visit. She has significant mobility challenges, and is likely facing the last days, weeks, or months of her life. Dr Amber is amazingly loving, compassionate, and knowledgeable of medical needs. She got down on the floor with Bailey, gladly accepted her kisses, and petted and talked to her. Bailey loves Dr Amber. She was equally kind and empathic with me, as Baileys major person. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am to Charlotte Street Animal Hospital over the years and with the many dogs we have had.

Dr. Cowan & the whole staff were awesome per usual! There is no shortage of love for my fur babies when we have to come to the vet. Most patient & amazing staff ever! 10/10

They are incredibly passionate, compassionate, helpful and a great resource for helping us best care for our fur-babies. In our time with them, they have helped us with maintenance care, acute care and even in the hard times of having to say goodbye to one of our beloveds. We can not say enough good things about them, so know if you have fur-babies that you love like human-babies, this IS the place to go! Great staff. Awesome empathetic providers. We are new to the area and my dog was experiencing some GI issues, so I called and they were able to squeeze us in. They called to give me updates during the day. They took the time to understand my dog’s temperament- he is a bit skittish and needs to be approached slowly. They worked with those boundaries and he had a very good experience. Thank you!!

My pets and I love this vet clinic and especially Dr. Amber. Dr. Amber is loving, highly experienced and most of all thorough. She treats my 2 dogs and my cat as though they were her pets. Thank you Dr. Amber and Charlotte Street team for working with me to give my babies their best lives.

We’ve been taking our boys to Charlotte Street Animal Hospital since we moved here three years ago. It’s always been a super easy and pleasant experience, and they are always really quick getting any results back. I love that they send me reminders for when one of my boys is due for a vaccine etc. Scheduling appointments is always so easy and we’re just Thankful for everyone there being so great!

A very disappointing experience. I called to schedule a health maintenance exam for both my dogs. When I arrived for the appointment, they told me that only one dog had been scheduled. They were not willing to accommodate my other dog, despite their scheduling mistake. What poor customer service. As a physician, I will always accommodate an additional sibling visit if my front desk staff made a mistake, even if they didn't make a mistake because that is the right thing to do. Especially if the sibling is already at the clinic, ready for the visit, like my dog was. I will not be returning to this clinic.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Charlotte Street Animal Hospital from Dr.Amber with her help with a tricky diagnosis that my previous vet was unhelpful with. Her kindness, and love for my animals that she has expressed in very meaningful ways with the loss of my precious Bandit. As a whole their receptionists have always been kind, from Autumn calling and clarifying with me to verify specific information, for my cat Eloise. To another receptionist late at night helping me purchase some specialty cat food that I had run out of, and had nothing left. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this amazing practice. They are nonjudgmental, caring, and they know what they are doing!

This is a great vet office. I’ve been really satisfied with the care they’ve given out dogs during routine visits and during emergencies. When our pup herniated a disc they coordinated with a specialist to get him seen immediately and we were able to use their physical therapist after surgery.

Charlotte Street Animal Hospital has amazing people working for them. I have been taking my fur babies here for 4 years now and won’t go anywhere else. From the friendly front staff to the empathetic technicians who keep me up to date on my pets progress. I’ve seen just about all of the doctors here. They are so knowledgeable and compassionate. It lets me know they truly love and care about our 4 legged family members.

Charlotte Street Animal Hospital has always done such a fantastic job ensuring our pets are well taken care of. Our cat was just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago and the vet that called me to tell me the pathology of the mass that was removed was so sweet and sympathetic towards our situation. I had a million questions about the next steps and about our cat's condition and he was so patient and thorough explaining everything to me. Our dog is typically not a fan of the vet as I can imagine most dogs aren't and while I can't say our dog is now excited to go to the vet, his anxiety around it is far less and I think that is all because of how great the staff treats him while we are there. Thank you all so much for treating our pets like they are your own!

The staff and doctors are always very kind when I need help with my two senior dogs. They have made sure we’re seen by our doctor asap and are so extremely nice and caring. My pups get excellent care. The best!

Everyone from the persons answering the phone to the Doctors seeing my cats, they are all wonderful!!! I have been taking my cats here for 8 years and I have never had even a slightly unpleasant experience. I have only had exceptional experiences. They are patient, loving, understanding, reasonable, extremely knowledgeable and involved. The waiting rooms and exam rooms are spotlessly clean and no odors. I am grateful to have them helping me care for my little precious cats, Edward and Baby!!!

from reception, the vet assistant and vet are amazing. we were able to get in-person estimates in a timely manner. they were gentle with my shy cat. the rooms are well insulated so my cat wasn’t overwhelmed with any sounds. no one rushed us to make any financial decisions. safe to say i’ll be bringing my other fur baby to get seen with them again. the prices are reasonable and they were transparent and explained clearly with everything they did. we even checked out and paid in the privacy of our own room. from the bottom of my heart, I can’t wait to come back. thank you guys for everything.

Dr. Amber provides superior vet care! She is highly competent and big-hearted, taking excellent care of our cats and dogs, attending thoroughly and kindly to their unique needs. Dr. Amber is helping to keep our furry kids healthy and is an outstanding vet. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit. I accidentally typed in the wrong text number to check in and was late for our appointment. Dr Henry generously agreed to see us anyway. Although her time was limited due to my error, she was thorough, covered all of my concerns, and I felt my pup had an excellent first experience with her new vet. I can not express how important that is to a pet parent! Everyone in the office was very pleasant, especially the vet tech that worked with us, and I am thrilled to have found Charlotte Street Animal Hospital!!

I moved to Asheville last year and was nervous about finding a new vet after some past negative experiences. Charlotte Street Animal Hospital has been amazing and has put all my anxiety to rest! During my cat's first visit for her annual, the vet spent so much time talking through all of my concerns and general observations, and gave me tons of great information. I felt more informed than I ever have after a vet visit. I also had to bring my cat in recently for an unscheduled visit after she started displaying some worrisome symptoms, and again everyone was amazing. Everyone I spoke with was so helpful working with me to get her seen the same day, from returning my first call immediately at 7am to working around my difficult work schedule that day, and again communication with the vet was incredible. The staff also gave me a great recommendation for a boarding place over the summer. I feel very confident that my cat is in great hands with everyone at Charlotte Street Animal Hospital, and that I'll get all the information I need to make good decisions for her, while keeping my schedule and financial situation in balance also. We were recommended to Charlotte street vet when my pup had a large tumor that I was very nervous about. He is my best friend and I had many tell me that they were the right hands to put his care into. So I called and met with Dr. Abrams and shortly after my dog had surgery to remove his tumor. It was seamless and now, here we are years later and my pup is happy and healthy. We now take our puppy there as well who is a total wild card and I never feel stressed under their care. The entire staff is incredibly kind, compassionate, and so helpful. I’ve called in a complete panic and in ease and have been met with understanding each time. Forever will stay at Charlotte street vet!
