Literally the worst cookout I have ever been too. You will sit in Drive thru for atleast 20 minutes on a good day. Then make sure you check your order because it's never exactly how you ordered it. If you Drive off without checking it good luck calling because they have turned the phones off. Presumably because how many times people call complaining.

Haven't eaten at cookout in a couple of years. Today got a burger and was very disappointed!! The burger is so much smaller than the bun and super thin. The tomato slice was twice as thick as the burger. Will not be going to Cookout for a burger again! Thanks but no thanks

The menu is extensive, & there is something to please nearly everyone. We always get shakes. Their crispy spicy chicken is ok, but a bit soggy. Chili dogs are also decent, but not stellar. One dog will vary greatly from the next, for example: one will have an abundance of slaw, & the next may have almost none, but tons of onions. Chicken quesadilla is pretty doughy. Overall, the food is nothing to write home about, but then, it’s fast food. Weirdly patriotic & blasting Christian music. Prompt service, but be aware: the left drive-thru line requires a passenger, or else you’ll need to leave your vehicle to pay & receive food. Lines can be long, so be prepared to wait. Gendered washrooms.

I'd never been to cook out before and the lady at the drive through was great but we were in a rush and didn't really get to order what we may have if we had more time to look better. Fries were awesome. Chili burgers were good, but plain cheeseburger wasn't great. Shakes were amazing. Will go back when have more time.

This place is one of the nicest I've seen in a sit down eat in Cook out! The folks were nice atmosphere great but I got to motel with my Milk Shake and it had no caramel or walnuts! I was disappointed.

Best fast food around, and unique! They capture the taste of a little burger and hotdog restraunt from out in the country, from the little towns in eastern NC!

Great food. Good quality. I even feel good the next day after eating here which is hard to say for fast food. And fast they are. Definitely returning here.

It's a cookout. They often forget to include parts of my order but I understand, it's a busy location. Burger patties are smaller than they used to be and very salty. Good portions of fries. Love their pickles.

Saw this place on my travels through Asheville on Tunnel Road, was able to go today and it is SO WORTH IT! Little bit of a wait but the Staff was Wonderful and the FOOD even better. I got the Hot Dog tray with a real banana milkshake. I also like that it's not overloaded with salt, and you can drive-thru Will be back again

We mostly get shakes and burgers here. The burgers are decent and thicker than most fast food burgers, and the hot dogs are pretty good too. The shakes are really good and they have a large variety of flavors. My favorites are the chocolate chip cheesecake, and the heath with peanut butter. Service is hit or miss. They do have a drive through on both sides but it's a bottleneck design that funnels everyone into a single line that branches out as you get closer to the building, so during busy times, the line gets really long. They stay open late and it can be really busy on weekends nights, even at 1 am. My biggest issue is that there are usually a lot of vagrants and homeless people hanging around trying to beg for money.

Shrinkflation is hitting Cookout. I love you guys, but this is really disappointing. Big cup on left is from before December. Small cup on right is now being provided instead.

Just dreamy! I've been aware of cookout for several years. As we got one back home a little while back and what I always noticed was the line that backed a least a half mile down the road usually at very late (or is it esrly?) hours of the night. I remembered that I had a burger from there once before and wanted to know what was so special about it. But now that I have experienced it to the extent that I have now, I KNOW what is so special. And boy is it so wonderful when you are looking for that 3 flavor extravaganza of a milkshake flavor mix you have cultivated just to your liking. (ALWAYS put cheesecake in...EVERY milkshake WILL benefit!). I also must say that the rest of there items are ranging from fairly good to OH so indulgent and yummy. Also, who doesn't love the FASTEST fast food there is!? I don't know how they get the whole order plus the somewhat complex milkshakes out so fast! It's like 3 mins flat! So, overall I would say this is a positive and rather suggestive review. Thanks for reading

I love there wide variety in food and it always taste good. Super friendly staff. Plus it's cheap for the amount of food you get. You definitely get your money's worth.

Honestly, a knockoff of Rally's. Burger patty was very bland, and so were fries. Very slow service and line didn't move fast. Fresh banana shake was incredible. I would go back for that, but the rest of the food was mediocre.

The drive thru guy was nice (I'm sure there's a few) but the burgers lately have had the soggiest buns. This time they were soaking wet with grease to the point of making sloppy sounds and falling apart... no offense but that stuff is wack

Came to cookout at 12:52 am Sunday 9/17 was served with excellent customer service from a young man in good spirits in less than 5 minutes with fresh hot food.

I always come here fairly late at night, been here past midnight a handful of times and get the same fast service and good I expect for a good price. Older man that calls me honey is a gem.

The food just was not that great i had a double burger trey with a chicken wrap and fries. I guess it was missing flavor? I’m knit picking but after eating the food it did not leave me with a wow-best food ever- feeling

Great customer service from Jeremiah! Jeremiah worked the drive through the night of 4/21/2023, great customer service and attitude! It was a busy night, the drive thru lane was packed out into tunnel road. Jeremiah and the other employees kept the line moving quick, and even had time to joke with us! By far the best fast food experience I've had in several years.

I've never had a more fluid and professional drive through expert attend to me in all my years of going to cook out. What an awesome experience! The food was also prepared well. Thanks!

Went through the drive thru and got one of the cookout trays and was thoroughly impressed. I loved how fast and attentive the staff was to getting my order correct and went as far as making sure that I stated the correct order when they read it back. Food was hot and fresh and the shake was delicious. It's been a long time coming today i can actually say that this was more than just fast food. Thanks guys and keep up the great work!

Cookout restaurants around here rarely offer a bad experience. Quality and affordable fast foods. Real shakes!

Chose another place - not the best (of anything) here and were afraid that after we ate, we might get sick. Their sanitation rating is posted as 95.5. There are much better places out there for burgers, bbq. Stay away.

The guy with the Jamaican accent taking our order was so rude. Like who does he think he is rude. He rushed us the second we pulled up. It usually takes us a minute tops to decide anyway and every TEN SECONDS he RUDELY asked us, "YOU READY NOW? HELLO?" , "ALRIGHT ARE YOU READY?" and handed me the food sideways... So disrespectful. The food was good though. But I'd rather not be treated like a pig :)

Rude, young kids. Orders are always wrong or messed up. It’s ridiculous to get them to fix it without being d*cks. This place is a hit or miss.

The Cookout is exactly what it is. They're consistent, if not mind blowing, and sometimes you just want a quesadilla with your burger. I'd rather spend my fast food money here if I'm going to spend it anywhere.

It's been awhile since I've been to cook out, the french fries were scrumptious, the milkshake was very good, and the burger was good. Not quite the charcoal flavor I remember but good nonetheless.

WARNING: Apparently if you order cheddar style which cost extra you get no cheddar and light bacon, also I should mention that if you choose to enter the drive thru do not have anything planned for the next hour because if cars have also desired cook out you will become TRAPPED in the drive thru lane with no exit and still so far away from even ordering your food , if you suffer from claustrophobic enter with caution. In some study's people seem to suffer from PTSD after experiencing this in any other drive thur establishment.

Cook Out is a great place to go if you want a lot of food for not a lot of money. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything on thier menu. If you're looking for an authentic experience try the burger, cook out style (chili, slaw, and onions) and Cheerwine or Sweet Tea.

Place my order the first time only to get receive it incorrect. Tried getting my order fixed after sitting at the window for 5 minutes only to get ignored. Once I explained to them my order was incorrect they started to argue with me about it. They handed my the second bag with my order only for it to be incorrect again. I understand short staffing issues but this is ridiculous.
