It's a long walk from the train station or bus and, once there, spectators face a long day if exposed to the cold. And exposed is the word: the stands around three-quarters of the ground are fairly low, although compensation is made in some part by a fine view of Lumley Castle over the open eastern side from the west and south stands.

A day in the corporate suite! Food and drink good quality but not what you'd expect to the value of tickets. Small portions and complementary bar finished surprisingly early. Excellent view of what is a great looking ground. Our waitress was excellent and kept us all going throughout the day.

Lucky to have this ground in Durham it’s one of the big attractions. Very good value for money buy a cushion from the shop because after 8 hours sitting you will be glad of the extra padding in the posterior. Staff friendly food generally good

We saw Rod Stewart and Culture Club with Boy George last night and it was fantastic. Both of their voices and charisma were still spot on. The show was brilliant and crowd was awesome despite the torrential rain at the start of the show. Have only given a 3 star review because of the filthy smelly toilets and they fact we were blocked in our carpark for well over an hour and a half without any movement at the end of the show. It's well worth parking a mile away because you'll still reach your car walking much faster than trying to get out of their car park.

Fantastic stadium around Durham, well connected with the metro and bus. It took around 20 mins by walk to reach the stadium from chester-le-street metro station. Plenty of parking spaces available near the ground and also on the opposite park. Friendly staff as well. Witnessed a fantastic game between England & Indian women's T20.

Excellent venue with a great setup. Views are superb and the range of food and drink on offer is very good, though expensive. Parking is easy and staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing time at the Micheal Buble concert but gutted at the fact the internet went down across the venue so wasn’t able to get a drink or food as I didn’t have any cash and the fact the venue sent an email out informing it would be a cashless event. Glad I arrived and got a drink at the start

Great ground, helpful staff, good catering and beer with a friendly home crowd. Only downside is they need more Ladies toilets.

Went to see The Who there. Nice stadium. Good facilities. Would go there to see a band again (I'm not a Cricket fan).

Great venue to watch cricket. Parking is easy, but getting out of the parking is a nightmare at the end of the event. Expect an hour in a queue just to leave the carpark. Then you have the queues on the local roads. Can't imagine the park and ride is any better as the buses are also stuck in traffic. Still, if you want to see the event it is part of the price you pay.

Great place to watch international cricket with decent views all around the ground. Parking was less impressive. Not well sign posted going in so lots of people without pre-paid tickets having to turn round. Coming out a complete shambles. No effort to manage cars leaving. 45 minutes going nowhere. A shame as all other aspects of experience was very good.

The Who were great but the venue was a rip off. PaId same price as 02!!!!!! Same price to be outside at a cricket ground and extra £50 for a seat i could have bought for £10. £20 to park in a field. I couldn’t believe the prices are same as the incredible 02 that is a purpose built state of art venue. I wouldn’t go back to this venue if Jimmy Hendrix was found alive and well and performed.

Decent size ground easy to get to lots of car parking and a short walk from the town centre. On big game days they have plenty of food vans and bars... enjoy it every time I go

Great venue for a concert and if you ever go and drink alcohol there is chester le street rugby club next to the cricket ground which is more than half the price than the cricket ground.

If you are looking for a Christmas party night check out the Seat unique at the Riverside. I booked this for a group of 14, friends and family. The price was really good and it was easy to book, I popped into reception when I was passing. Met Jo who was so friendly, helpful & answered numerous queries from me. On arrival we had a welcome cocktail before getting to our table. The venue looked amazing and very classy with well spaced tables. The meal was a very tasty Christmas carvery which everyone enjoyed. The disco catered for all tastes in music so no one was disappointed. Overall a brilliant night.

Visited to see The Who here at Seat Unique Riverside... Enjoyed the experience and the grounds Very well organised and managed Facilities were very adequate for the event... Entry and gaining access to my seat was easy enough..bag check and ticket check.etc. In the grounds... various food and drinks were readily available.. Exiting the ground again was easy enough and the surrounding area outside was marshalled very well for everyone's safety for the journey home

Fantastic venue for a birthday party as a blank canvas we could decorate! Staff super helpful. Great fun & atmosphere in the cricket season too. They also host some fantastic concerts.

Went to a double header T20 cricket match. Food and drink areas well thought out, plenty of facilities and caters well for those with limited mobility. Excellent.

Great cricket ground but my experience was ruined by the repetitive and banal very loud music which was blasted at deafening volumes whenever anything (deemed exciting by the music controller) happened. The T20 offering is great but the horrendous music needs to go!

Great game. Pity the seats are uncomfortable and the Sticky Wicket is dreadful. No choice of coffee other than someting rather like dishwater and the floor is dreadfully sticky, especially in the Ladies. Wont be visiting this eatery again. Having been members of the club for 15 years we are considering non renewal of our membership for next year. Janet

Really impressed by the welcome and organisation despite the fact that the match we went to see was rained off

Great day out .. Nice ground with fantastic food & drink stations. Despite being busy queue times where minimum

One of the prettiest Cricket venues I have been to. What an atmosphere. Great pitches and great surrounding. Lots of food stalls around the stadium. Washrooms are not bad compared to some other Cricket stadiums. Yes, I definitely recommend Riverside Durham to all you Cricket fans 🇱🇰🙏👍👏✌

Visited for a open air concert, facilities were good.and plenty of parking is available. We parked in the Town and walked to the cricket ground. Excellent to move after the show and cc took less than 10 minutes after returning to the car park.

Small ground as compared to other international cricket grounds in UK, but the surroundings are very calm. Players love to have a go on this. Car parking is open to public, easy access from the main road. The Riverside Ground, known for sponsorship reasons as the Seat Unique Riverside, is a cricket venue in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England. It is home to Durham County Cricket Club, and has also hosted several international matches.

Very welcoming place staff are very friendly polite and professional, Good selection of drinks and plenty of places to sit inside and out. Lots of screens and ideal for watching sports. Really enjoyed my visit and definitely going back. I would highly recommend this place.

Went for mother's day meal 8 of us meal service ok but starter came different times for all 15 minutes for one of us. Had to leave the table and ask for veg as two small tureens for us all and dinners came at different times so my dinner was cold perhaps better for smaller groups. Seating area nice. Big tv screens good selection of beers etc

Was only doing a delivery there but it looked really nice. If I was a cricket fan I'd be happy to go and watch the match. If Emirates are sponsoring it can't be bad.

Fantastic ground to watch and enjoy cricket in all formats. Great views of the action from all round the ground. Parking next to ground in nearby carparks. Delicious food and drink on offer and plenty for families and kids at the T20 games. Great setting by the river and nearby Lumley Castle.
