Food was decent enough for what was expected, and the restaurant’s ambience and interior were actually pretty nice - however, service was.. bizarre to say the least. I went for dinner on a weekday, and the hostess standing outside was taking a personal call while we were waiting to get seated. There were plenty of seats, but the hostess kept signaling us to wait while she was talking away on the phone (which sounded to be a casual chat with a friend). Once she was off the phone (which took quite a while), she greeted an old friend who happened to be passing by with his dogs, playing with them while we were still awkwardly standing, just waiting to get to a seat. She didn’t wash her hands after touching the dogs and served us water and cups. Our server wasn’t too great either - personally, I think it’s pretty rude to toss the check onto the table. We also didn’t ask for the check yet nor did he ask if we were ready for it, which made the whole “tossing” the check at us seem pretty lacking in manners and a one way stop for a low tip. Not sure what prompted both workers to behave so oddly, considering we were very nice to them and even accommodating despite the poor service. I’ve dined here once before coming this time, and previously sat inside. While the atmosphere and interior are nice, the same can’t be said for outdoor seating. I know it’s hard to keep outdoor tables clean due to wind and outside debris, but the tables didn’t even seem like they were wiped, and had a lot of dog hairs everywhere. If you don’t like seeing dogs poop on the sidewalk directly next to your table, and would like to avoid cars nearly back into your table when parking (there’s no curb/barrier between the sidewalk and the street), then outdoor seating may not be for you here.

Nice ambience. And good food. Portions are large. Usually crowded in the evenings. But easy to get seated even on weekends. Parking on streets available. Burgers were yummy! We tried the spicy chicken burger & the vegetarian option. The fries were delicious!

Delicious breakfast/brunch here the other day. Had scotch egg with falafel bites, truffle fries, steak and eggs, breakfast tacos, mimosas, coffee, old fashioned, and Bloody Mary. Only giving four stars cause the old fashioned was weak and the Bloody Mary was not good. Everything else was wonderful!

Our party of 8 came in for Sunday brunch and thankfully there was room for us even though we did not have a reservation. Their text message system to let you know when a table was ready is efficient. We just went across the street so that our kids could play in the downtown park. The food was excellent and both adults and kids had great eats. Our 11-year-old thought the salmon eggs benedict was the best thing!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff made for a memorable brunch!

We ate outside so didn’t get a chance to experience their indoor seating. Outside was not very comfortable though and they could benefit from a getting more comfortable chairs and tables. Our table was a little shaky. Apart from that, the waitress was very enthusiastic and funny which made the experience much more enjoyable. Their crab cake Benedict was so good I had to get another order. I would come back here but opt for indoor seating next time.

I totally recommend this place, and I’m defiantly coming back! The service was a delight! We arrived around 1pm and we were sited in 10 minutes, then a very nice, friendly, and attentive waitress took care of us. The food came quick, perfectly cooked, and it was delicious We order a couple things to try, and they were great! I got the fried chicken sandwich, and the truffle fries and it paired perfectly! We also had the octopus and the mushroom omelet, but o wasn’t quick enough to make a picture of it. Again, if you have the chance, go try this place!

We ordered the brisket gnocchi and the fried chicken. Gnocchi was tasty but the brisket was over cooked and hard to chew. Flavor was very good. The fried chicken was tasty (hints of honey that made you want to keep eating), but it was a lot of chicken…. When it said it came with a side of pasta salad with expected more than a quarter cup. The bananas foster bread pudding was the highlight of the meal for me. Recommend to try once (great for out of towners), would really like to go back for their brunch which looks amazing. Service and ambiance was very good :) Update*** went back for brunch….very good and recommend! Biscuits and gravy were delicious! Note~we had it split onto two plates

The host/supervisor/manager working last night was extremely rude. I don’t know his name but he was bald wearing baggy jeans and worn out black tennis shoes. Told us we couldn’t sit on the patio for a drink while waiting for a table inside. But the next couple that showed up, asking the same thing, he said “sure no problem”.

Hands down the greatest place to eat 8n downtown Redmond. The staff is excellent owner is an amazingly laid back easy to speak to guy. Food was off the charts I had the scotch eggs pic below. My lady had the brisket gnocchi which was honestly the best I've ever had. Been a chef for 15+yrs. One experience I became a lifelong patron. This spot has it all the whiskey selection will blow your mind. The entirety of the staff from chefs to bartenders, servers all a very well executed and prompt service. Couldn't ask for a better place to eat. See you all again soon thanks for an amazing evening.

It was my first visit, food is hot! Spot is clean! Service is kind. 4 stars for flavor, my fish was just a bit plain tasting after I’ve heard many friends love and rave over this spot. It may just be me and a personal preference. Nothing wrong and I encourage all to give it a shot! Because it was a lovely date spot. Even outside seating was warm and well lit together.

I had an appointment with my girl friend to meet here for happy hour on Tuesday. (Monday - Sunday 3-5 PM). First come, first served. Parking is limited to 2 hours street parking or 3 hours free public parking in the back. The inside of the place is not so big, but it is a comfortable place. We ordered 2 Sangria, 50% Off Charcuterie Board added Smoked Salmon and Happy Hour Wings. The food and drinks were delicious and satisfying. The person who served us was a kind and friendly. Time flew by with fun conversations and delicious food. We'll be back soon.

This is a superb place to have brunch. Braised brisket was amazing, the beef was tender and juicy. Eggs were cooked really well. Nothing was too greasy or too salty. Really really good.

We came here for lunch today and just left, so this is all real fresh. First, the food was amazing. The Scotch egg (pictured) was rich and perfectly poached, with a wonderfully runny center. My husband had the octopus, which he said was seasoned to perfection. The service, though, was ABYSMAL. Our server was slow and inattentive. The table next to us was seated before us, but had their orders taken after us. We were given one water glass and another was never brought. Our drinks arrived after we had finished our meal. Overall, the worst service I've had in a place in a long time. It would've been better if we'd sat in the bar. So overall, food awesome, today's service sucked balls.

Food here was excellent! We got the banana foster French toast, Croque madam and fried Brussels sprouts. Everything tasted delicious. The mocktail I ordered tasted a bit watered down (maybe because of the ice?) but other than that we really enjoyed the food.

Nice ambiance and service. The food was average though - like a restro-bar. The French toast were thick and chewy - quite average. The bread in the egg Benedict was also chewy. Vege tacos were ok too. The vegan bun was average too.

I like the food at Woodblock. Their salad with blue cheese and pears was great, mac & cheese was delicious. Truffle fries were good as well. Nice atmosphere, you can sit inside or at the table outside

We got takeout fried chicken, falafel bites, and a burger before a concert. Not bad, we’ve come before for breakfast and felt the same way- not the most epic thing I’ve ever eaten, but given the circumstances these days it’s great to have pretty good food to eat. One issue was that the batter on the fried chicken was very soggy/falling off the chicken. A solution for this is to double fry the chicken! The first fry cooks the meat through, then as it sits the steam from the meat makes the crust soggy, then you fry again ten or so minutes later to re-crisp the outside, removing the sogginess that the steam left behind. It will stay crispy and well attached for days, even in the fridge, at that point.

The food was so good and definitely hefty. I ordered the Mac n cheese with chicken breast added on top and the flavors were immaculate. The only downside though it was difficult to flag down a waiter if we needed something like an extra fork or the bill. There were many staff present but for some reason none of them were near the dining tables. Charcuterie board was delicious though!

Great place and food! The brisket gnocchi are definitely to come back for! I got the tomato soup as well which was good too. They also have interesting combinations of cocktail/soda water; i tried the spiced persimmon one, new flavor.

we went on a lil staycation to redmond and I scoured google reviews for a great brunch place. this was the DEFINITIVE winner. we were in heavennnnn. the squash arugula salad was so good I’ve been trying to recreate it at home. the avocado toast was 👌🏼 he loved his eggs benny and we devoured the potatoes. paired with bloody mary’s and a fabulous waitstaff? this was the best and coziest brunch spot. went around the corner to the half-price books after and bought more cooking books😅 was feeling inspired lol.

Mediocre steak at premium prices. Potatoes almost burnt and tasted like the oil they were cooked in was way overdue for a change. Service almost non-existent. Will not visit again. My money is far better spent elsewhere.

The chicken ranch burger and garden salad were appetizing but the customer service could use some work. You're only allowed to sit at your spot for one hour. That includes the time it takes for you to decide on what to order, them to cook your food, and then for you to eat. While we were there, the server kept coming to our table asking to pick up our plates while we were still eating. If you enjoy eating here, preplan what you're going to order so that your waiter isn't bothering you every 5 minutes.

Very few times have I experienced service this poor. Gave them a chance even though I’ve heard it was a bit rough with the reopening, loved this place before covid-19. I felt like apologizing the entire time I was in because the server and bar tender made me feel as though I was bothering them. There was 3 seated tables inside and 4 outside, took an hour and a half for food and almost 20 mins to get our first drink. I didn’t recognize any of the staff from pre-pandemic, so hopefully Hernan and any of the other wonderful people that were there aren’t being affected by these members of their team. Reviews are plummeting and I have now experienced why.

Third time there, it’s been good every time. I’ll give the happy hour old fashioned a 4/5 for a serviceable but less than top shelf glass. Foods and beers have been good and so has the service. I’ll be back.

"Every time we go out, it's 99% always here" - overhead from the table next to me, and I can see why. Pros: Every bit of the experience Cons: They know the worth of what they are providing The service was excellent, although no standard uniform made it easy to mistake a hostess with a super inviting member of the community. And that's exactly the atmosphere Woodblock invokes: THE gathering place for the community, a place to chat, a place to have company, a place to enjoy life. As for individual menu items: - Smoked salmon and crab dip: mostly just a smoked salmon dip, not much else for flavor but when you love the taste of the sea, it's there in spades. Hard to kiss anyone after though... - Brisket gnocchi: burrata adds so much to this dish, it is so flavorful the cool cheese is refreshing and pairs perfectly with the primary tomato-based taste. The added vegetables are of questionable value, the $4 is a bit much for 6 pieces of broccoli+arugula so that's a free pass. Delicious overall though. - My own whiskey preferences admired the Westland and 2Bar whiskeys from the Drink Like a Local flight, but the flights are a good experience served correctly in snifters. Tuesday is/was half-off whiskey so it's a good time to experiment.

Wonderful modern American whiskey bar restaurant. A small menu, which lets you know they focus on quality over quantity. The chicken and duck liver mousse was delectable. Slightly sweet with the mildest rich organ flavor. Spread like butter on the artisanal toasted bread is the perfect pairing of opposing textures. For the main, I had the brisket gnocchi with burrata cheese (pictured). A creamy, smoky delight with the addition of arugula, this will be something I come back for. Their service was personable and skilled, especially the knowledgeable bar staff. Can't recommend Woodblock enough.

I had dinner here with a couple of friends for one of our birthdays. Our server, Dan, was amazing! He was knowledgeable about the food and drinks and was attentive to the whole table. We had some great whiskey cocktails and tried a couple of flights of rye whiskey which were fabulous. The baked brie appetizer was warm, gooey and yummy. Our entrees were all a hit! You can't go wrong.

Ordered takeout dinner for 3 to celebrate my families Christmas. Its usually a cast of 15 and i do a smoked 22lb. Prime rib. 16 year tradition. I was extremely impressed and very thankful for the crew at the Woodblock in Redmond. They made our small affair awesome. The meal needs to be reheated before serving and usually I'd be suspect of how good the quality will be. It was a 10. Brisket was perfect(son said need a bit more seasoning, mehh 26 year olds. Lol), broccolini was crisp, muffins..awesome. While we had several other deserts, the carrot cake was on point. Highly recommend and look forward to dining on site. Happy New year to everyone at Woodblock Redmond. Thank you!!

It was a group of 10 people. I think this place is a decent place for happy hour, snacks, etc, not so much for entrees or full meals. Food was ok, but on the $$$ side.

Came in initially for just cocktails at the bar, and then stayed for a few extra food snacks. Overall a nice experience, although service was spotty at first (didn't get checked on for a while initially, but I think due to a mix-up on who was supposed to serve us). Cocktails were tasty! The grilled octopus and warmed olives were also delicious. Falafel was just ok, but the sauces were really good. Solid place for a nice drink and bite.

Magnificent job! I came in during what seemed like a rush, which normally restaurants fail to uphold a consistent standard, but Woodblock did really well. I was sat quickly, quickly welcomed, and food came out in fair time. The spicy chicken burger was very good, and quite unique. Personally I wish it was a good bit spicier though. Lot of natural light and a tasteful aesthetic. If I’m ever in Redmond, I’ll be back!

Woodblock has a pretty unique veggie burger made with a falafel patty. The hostess was able to get that made for me despite missing in the diner menu, so maybe just ask for it.
