Obsessed with this place! They have truly been so welcoming every visit. Elle is my balayage specialist. She knows her stuff when it comes to balayage. No more burnt hair. No more foils. She knows how to achieve the lived-in look, and knocks it out of the ballpark every single time. It is worth every cent. Nadirah is also amazing! She cuts my hair, and she pays close attention to all details when cutting, and truly crafted in her work. I love this small business, and highly recommend them for color or hair cutting needs. If you live in Ballston, it is a nice walk to their studio. Otherwise, they have a parking garage below the building.

I went to Jordan for the first time in December after asking for hair recommendations in a local Facebook group. The day before my appointment, I realized I didn’t book a haircut, so I quickly messaged Jordan asking for help and she helped me book with Nadirah so I could get my hair colored and cut on the same day. When I arrived, Jordan was so sweet. It was evident she cared about much more than accomplishing the perfect color — she cared about the health of my hair, the grow out, future hair goals, etc. It’s now been almost two months and my hair looks so lived in — no harsh lines, etc. She also gave me product recommendations that have made such a difference. Cannot wait to go back!!

Elle has done amazing things with my hair, starting from getting rid of the orange tints that another salon's hairdresser did to my hair. A few years on from that initial work and I continue to be so impressed each time I get my highlights done. They look very natural and allow me to go months without needed any touchups. Beautiful blonde and dirty blonde highlights. (and hiding of my grays) The salon vibe is so great too- relaxed, with some cool story telling and a bit of giggling likely, along with positive energy all around. And the decor is great.

Love seeing my girls Jordan and Nadirah! Jordan is a true artist at painting the “soft contrast” brunette highlights I look for, while Nadirah perfectly shapes out my haircut to look full with tons of volume and movement.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Jordan is a genius and one of the sweetest most fun people to be around! You can tell she loves what she does by the love and care she puts into each clients hair because not only does it look gorgeous it’s healthy. I can see her every 3months or go 6+ months and my hair still looks incredible! I moved up to the area at the beginning of the pandemic and had been seeing my previous stylist in FL for 15 years and now I won’t let anyone else but Jordan color my hair she truly is amazing! Plus the salon is such a fun welcoming environment you feel like you’re hanging out with friends and getting gorgeous at the same time!

Elle is truly an artist. She’s so skilled in tailoring the color that she creates for each client and takes time to understand what exactly you want. The balance that she strikes between such a precise color placement and natural, low-maintenance highlights is so impressive. Best highlights I’ve had by a landslide!

I’ve been doing my hair with Jordan for years and I cannot recommend her enough. Every single time I look at my hair I cannot believe it’s mine! It’s so beautiful! Jordan is a true artist. Elle is amazing! I've been to many stylists over the years, and I trust her more than anyone for balayage. She was able to correct blue-grey tints in my blonde highlights that a stylist at another salon caused. Elle takes a lot of care with her clients and their hair. She listens to what you want and will give honest and thoughtful feedback about what will be required to meet your hair goals. Cannot say enough great things about this place! Finding a new hair salon when I moved from NY to DC was a challenge, after a few misses I found Lavender & Mane, and I’m so happy I did. Elle is a hair color genius! She had to do some major color correction on my hair, she brought it back to life. She’s so talented with Balyage, she listens to what you want but also advises you when what you want isn’t the best thing for your hair. She took my hair from brassy and damaged to the perfect bronde. Her Balyage is always spot on, the perfect balance of rich tones that still look natural. I’ll never look anywhere else for hair color in the DMV! Nadirah is also amazing! She is absolutely meticulous with a cut, and she gave me the hair of my dreams with hand tied extensions. I’m totally obsessed with them! I never imagined I would be someone who got extensions and now I can never imagine not having them. Friends tell me they’re shocked because they look so natural, Nadirah does such an incredible job with them, she’s talented and really cares so much about getting them right. They somehow look glam and natural at the same time. And Elle paints them so they blend perfectly with my balyage. Elle and Nadirah are hair magicians. 10/10, highly recommend this place for anyone in the DMV!
