If you need a Covid test don’t even bother to come here unless you plan on waiting almost 3 to 4 hours. Plus another hour in the waiting room after you scheduled an appointment instead of just walking in. The place is dirty and has bugs crawling on the floors. You’re better off going to Walgreens or cvs for a test.

I would have been better off going to the hospital. I am being charged to be told to see my primary doctor. Any internal pain it is not the place to go. Urgent care is an understatement! Urgent care is a clinic with an x ray machine. Not so much they really do. But if I have a cold or flu urgent care is a good place to go. Over all the staff where good!

It was long wait but excellent service. The vitals tech and the physician's assistant, Daisy, were amazing. It would be nice if there were more options for submitting tests than driving them to LabCorp.

The PA who saw me was great, knowledgeable and professional. The tech who did my triage though was incompetent and seemed to have never done a covid test before. She did not tell me she was swabbing my nose, missed the inside of one nostril, then very quickly and superficially swabbed the other nostril with the tiniest tip of the swab for a millisecond. My result was negative and yet I tested strongly positive at home on a rapid test one hour later. She wasted my time and my money. And she refused to do the swab again, despite not having done it properly.

My review is for the women who was working the front desk on 5/23 @10am. She was the nicest and most pleasant person I've ever seen in a medstar facility. There was someone in there with a foot injury and she was nice enough to walk his paperwork back and forth to him. As I was waiting, I just saw how nice, helpful, and pleasant she was too everyone who walked up to the desk for her assistance.

I am pretty satisfied with the service i received here. I knew going in that it would be a long wait, and the office was clean and comfortable. The staff were all polite and professional. My biggest fear in a medical setting is not having my concerns listened to, but I left feeling heard and I appreciate their care.

Overall it was a great experience. The wait was extremely long, reason why they can't get five stars at the moment. The receptionist and the staff was very nice and has wonderful bedside manner! They just need more Physicians to speed up the process of the waiting.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this urgent care. I purposely made an appointment online and received email and text message confirmation only to be notified when I checked it in the morning that they had no record of my appointment. I even supplied the proof, but was rudely dismissed at the front desk. After waiting 35 minutes after they opened and being the first patient back, the staff was less than friendly or motivated. What is the point of opening at 8 AM if the very first patient to be seen is over a half hour later? The staff seemed half asleep, and I had to answer the same question approximately six times. I do not recommend going here at all.

This is awful. I made an appointment online to see a doctor for a likely sinus infection for 3:00. I waited 45 minutes to see a nurse, who took my blood pressure and gave me a Covid test (which I know I do t have because I tested at home) and then they sent me back out to the lobby to wait. After another 45 minutes, no one has brought me to see a doctor. I’m about to leave, but I really think I need antibiotics. The front desk staff is nice and understanding but they told me I “didn’t have an appointment, I had a reservation”. Wth does that mean???? This is absolutely ridiculous. Update: it has now been nearly 3 hours. I was brought to an exam room and then 45 minutes later came out and asked about my status and was told the computer showed I was waiting for telehealth, which wasn’t true because they told me specifically I needed to see a provider to listen to my lungs. I have never had such a bad experience at an urgent care in my life. I am never coming back here and will tell everyone in Hyattsville to absolutely not use this provider.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, I became ill and needed some help because I was experiencing systems that were new to me. Since my doctors are in the MedStar system, I made the decision to go to Medstar’s Hyattsville facility. Although I had some difficulty with the sign-in process, a very helpful and pleasant worker at the desk helped me through the process. The wait wasn’t long and my vitals were taken by the nurse who then placed me in an examining room. The doctor listened to me and asked pertinent questions to determine my health status. Once a determination was made, the doctor prescribed medication and gave me good information about how to take it. My overall experience was was very good. Now I know that I can get quality care without going to an emergency room or calling my primary care doctor who will know of the problem that occurred because she and all of my doctors are MedStar.

Registration wasn't a problem. Waiting time wasn't bad. When I come to urgent care I know it can be a wait but I prepare myself. The doctor did and said what he knew for what I was there for.

My experience was pretty good. I was a walk-in so there was a wait that was a little longer than usual because of a delay in the back. I was impatient at first because I was experiencing a lot of pain which was the reason why I was there but they were very accommodating. They kept me abreast of my wait time and saw me as quickly as possible. I had a great experience with the doctor as well because she first confirmed what I thought my issue was and educated me on how to heal myself and what I needed to do when I follow up with my primary care physician. I left with prescriptions and care instructions in hand.

I went in today for a knee injury. I luckily did not wait so much. I only waited for an hour. The nurse was very nice and the doctor as well I will say that she wasn’t so careful with my knee injury she stabbed my knee with her finger and not gentle. The man who took me to get my X-Ray was very aggressive during everything. He put a knee brace on and hurt my knee even more. I felt like crying a lot during that time even worse. I believe they should be more careful handling patients during all these times. And wasn’t offered any pain killers.

OMG THE WORST! I waited 3 hours for a doctor to see me while I had covid and then saw a Telehealth doctor while in office. The actual f. I sat in a waiting room for hours with covid symptoms (fever, body aches, chills) and I have never felt so neglected.

MedStar Urgent Care was very clean with polite nursing staff and doctors. Treated my condition and gave me good 👍 advice for next steps. I would recommend them highly.

Care received was exceptional. Doctor thoroughly reviewed and discussed my medical history and current ailment before recommending next course of action, including monitoring my vital signs until stable before releasing me. Intake and triage services were also very good. Thank you for your caring and professional services.

I made an appointment for 9:00. I did not leave until after 11:00 and they sent me to the hospital emergency room for more tests the could not do. I waited until after 10:00 to see a doctor. The medical system is so broken. The doctors and other staff were excellent but why does it take so long?

I made an appointment online and arrived 10 minutes before my check in time. I had to complete some forms that were not online. I was taken to the back within 15 minutes of arriving. The assistant took my vitals and administered a Covid and strep test. I was led to a waiting room to wait for the doctor. The doctor came in within 20 minutes and let me know that I was positive for strep! The doctor had the assistant administer a breathing treatment, sent my prescriptions to my pharmacy of choice and had me out of there in under 2 hours! I would definitely make an online appointment and go here again for care.

I made my appointment on line and it was quickly Confirmed. However I did have to complete paperwork when I arrived. Greeted very professionally. When I asked about the additional paperwork; it was explained very precisely, Giving Authorization for Treatment. I was also info that this paperwork may in the future be available to complete on line. Great News.

I took my mom to the Medstar Urgent Care in Hyattsville (a top the Safeway) a few nights ago. We arrived around 7:40pm and were out the door at 8:30pm. From the moment we walked in, we had a very pleasant experience. They called my Mom back within minutes of completing the initial paperwork (~2 pages). Dr. Cope was wonderful. Very pleasant and respectful. Answered all of our questions. This facility will definitely be our family’s “go to” from now on. Thank you so much for treating us so well and so quickly! That was my favorite part. 😌

I am so happy that I went to the Urgent Care of Hyattsville. They are close to where I live and I was treated with the upmost respect. The facility was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. It did take awhile to see the doctor. But considering there were a lot of other patients needing to be seen I was understanding. Still my visit was a lot faster than the ER. The doctor was exceptionally knowledgeable with a caring demeanor listening and assessing my condition. I will definitely not hesitate to go there again if I have another healthcare concern. I highly recommend them.

The only reason I didn't give one star is because the PA was courteous, patient and knowledgeable. She takes the time out to listen and make sure you're comfortable with her care. However I think the office need more staffing. The wait time is ridiculously long even though you have an appointment. I have a 1130am appointment and wasn't seen until 3:30pm. Its urgent care therefore, patient needs to be seen more urgent

This was my first time visiting this urgent care! I came with my granddaughter who had an appointment...then decided to be seen as a walk in patient. Even though, we had a long wait however, it beats going to the ER. They were very professional and pleasant. I would go back again. At least I know I will get seen. I had an appointment with my primary care doctor and he cancelled it for his emergency which left me in pain. My granddaughter and I were giving prescriptions and was notified they both were available at two different pharmacies. Overall, no need to complain...at the end of the day...all is well.

I visited Hyattsville Urgent Care this past weekend and had a basically good experience. The whole staff was polite and knowledgeable, and kept me informed of the status of time. My only issue was with the care plan/visit summary which did not fully correspond to what I was told verbally. The wait time was reasonable. The caregivers made sure to listen and ask questions and made sure I understood their responses.

The service was excellent. The wait was a bit long. It would be helpful if signs are placed on the glass door at the front, on America Blvd, to direct you where to go to access the clinic from upstairs. I arrived after 7 pm, so i didn't know after a certain time, the doors downstairs are closed. There is no signage to indicate where to enter for urgent care.

I’ve received great care the last two times I’ve been to urgent care 3/1 and 3/10. Great bedside manner and the nurses cared about my comfort. On 3/1 I walked in at 8am and didn’t have to wait to be seen. On 3/10 there was a bit of a wait, about an hour and a half. It was a Friday and they had walk in patients plus people that held spots online. The doctors listened to my concerns and seemed to care about what I was going through. I have no complaints except the front desk could be more communicative and could show the same level of care. And that’s coming from someone whom worked as a front desk rep at another medstar location.

There is nothing urgent about this place. I waited over 3 hours and never saw a doctor the first time I came. The second time I made an appointment there was still 8+ people in front of me. I was able to be out without 1.5 hours this time. Dr. Jessie was very quick and helpful for my condition.

Terrible service. I came into Urgent care at 5:40 for my appointment and after 15 minutes was put into an examination room. For the remaining 2 hours, I sat there and patiently waited for the doctor. I was told many times the doctor knew that I was there and would be serviced shortly. However, none of the staff would give me a concrete time estimate or even assure me that I would be seen. This is despite making a scheduled appointment online HOURS before my arrival. I was not the only one who had issues with service. I overheard another individual arguing with the staff claiming he had been waiting for over an hour and received no care and none of the staff appeared to show any urgency. Eventually, the time reached 8pm and they shut down the office and told me I’d have to reschedule my appointment for another time. I was terribly upset by their lack of accountability, overall urgency, and service quality. DO NOT COME HERE

I have had disappointing experiences here. First, it took 2+ hours to see anyone every time I’ve been, even with a scheduled appointment. I had a wound that became infected after my first visit to treat it, and the doctor on that second visit said they should have cleaned the wound on the first visit, which did not happen. On another recent visit, there was no doctor there at all and the nurse couldn’t perform the care I needed (prescribing) and directed me to the ER instead for an issue that an urgent care doctor should have been able to address. I thought it was a given that a doctor would be available to at least be consulted instead of turning patients away after paying and waiting for several hours. The nurse was overly dramatic and insisted that I go the ER, which took 11 hours only to be prescribed the same course of oral abx that urgent care could have and should have prescribed.

Made an appointment specifically to make good use of my time. Got to my appointment 5 minutes early to check in. Waited 40 minutes to have vitals taken. The nurse sent me back to the waiting area after getting vitals since no rooms are available, then she told me there were still 7 people before me. What was the point of planning ahead and making a reservation. My time is important to me, and I take steps to plan ahead. Incredibly disrespectful of people's time Edit: 90 minute after my appointment time and I saw the doctor. Took 3 minutes to tell me that I need antibiotics. What a huge waste of time. I spent 30x the amount of value added time just sitting.... this location needs to train in Six Sigma...

  • 1/5 Jerry Y. 11 months ago on Google
Waited for over two and a half hours to be told by the provider that she did not have the full information from the intake staff and that we should have been sent to the ER and would need to go there within the same day for anything to be done. This was after being told by the intake staff that I would be able to be treated there. From previous visits, there have consistently been very long wait times, even with appointments, but this was the most challenging visit.

I had an appointment today 10/22/23 at the Hyattsville Medicare Urgent Care Center I got to my appointment at12.30pm and when I left the time was 3.30pm. The wait time was terrible. My experience was not bad though everyone was very nice and courteous. The areas were very clean 👌. So despite my wait time I would not have it any other way. Keep up the good work guys. MS. Easy check in and filling out questionnaires electronically as a first time patient. Professional and friendly staff at the front desk, very polite and communicating expectations on the next step. I don't usually go the urgent care but the level of customer service at this Hyattsville location will always make me want to come back when I don't need a visit to my Primary Care provider.

As described in many of the reviews I read, the wait time was long despite having made an appointment. However, looking at the waitlist was helpful while I waited. The doctor took his time, asked many questions and listened to my concerns. He even had me FaceTime with an ER doctor to confirm his recommendations. All of the staff were friendly and courteous. 3 stars because of wait time.

Wait times are expected to be long at urgent cares. But my exam with the doctor was pretty terrible. The physician decided to have karaoke (pulled out his phone and started singing a very inappropriate song to me). I was there for laryngitis and mentioned that I was a vocalist. So he prescribed me an inhaler and otc cough med for my voice(?) after looking me up on Instagram (while I was still in the office). My time with with him was very uncomfortable and complete waste of my time (3hrs). I almost pulled out my phone because he was singing so close to my face -_- The assistant was very pleasant. But buddy needs more training before seeing more patients! Not a good experience at all.
