Forest Hills Park at East Cleveland this past Saturday was serene and yet, calm and peaceful. The Geese and ducks greeted me and my Pomeranian with kindness, as if they were saying, "Hello and welcome!" I really enjoyed my walk in the park there on such a beautiful sunny and warm day in the tail end of November? The weather here in Cleveland has been graciously pleasant.

I am absolutely in love with this park. It’s an absolute underrated gem in East Cleveland. I’ve lived in the area and have explored this park many times and always find something new hidden within the park. I just recently stumbled upon the remnants of the old blacksmith shop in the woods and that was super cool. I just wish East Cleveland would take better care of their side, but I’m really not surprised because East Cleveland neglects everything lmao

Nice youth baseball facility with 6 fields. The snack shack has always been open when I have been attending my son’s games. Crowded night tonight with all 6 fields being used so parking in the large lot was a challenge.

A piece of nature in the city! Options to walk around the paved paths and sidewalk, or to wind your way through the woods on the many connected natural trails. You can even find a few small waterfalls along the creek! And it's absolutely beautiful in the fall. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of marked trails. There are 2-3 signs along the paved paths pointing you to the nature trails, but once you're among the trees, you have no real sense of direction. It's not difficult to find your way out, it would just be nice to have better trail markers! Still, if you're in the area, go behind the community center to this park- it's worth it!

Wish I could give it a higher review because it was quite beautiful, but the trails were in terrible shape because of downed trees, and had no marking. Tried to get to the small waterfall for about an hour could not seem to find the path on Google maps.

Beautiful park especially when the trees are blooming. Great for dog walking and bike riding. It has a bridge, a Picknik area, lake, and island, and Beautiful nature! The park also has some hiking areas. I would advise the community as well as the city to take more time cleaning it up a little. Although there are no trash bags lying around but it does seem like there are geese and other animals that love to eat well (poop). It is definitely a park that we would come to again but it would be nice to see people take pride in their community.

Beautiful! The lake with all the ducks, geese, swallows, and their babies is gorgeous. There's an updated playground, a pavilion, baseball diamonds, and plenty of benches to just sit and chill.

It was nice at Forest Hill Park it was just a lot of geese and duck feces on the ground but other than that it was tranquil. And I also got to see ducks and geese.

I have never explored all of Forest Hill Park. I only visit during the summer when my son has Challenger Baseball, which is a baseball league for those with special needs. But the part of Forest Hill Park we frequent is immaculate. Our field is always well kept and our family enjoys Challenger Baseball Sundays.

Childhood memories.. I grew up in this park, well down the street from it. Used to sleigh ride down the hill, we called Grandpappy Hill, as kids. It was awesome to sit down at the duck pond and enjoy the ducks, geese and swans.

Be aware of a pack of coyotes living in the brush In the park! The park itself is great! A lot of great rec, the trails through the woods are great. However, my friend and I were walking two dogs through the park trails and one dog ended up being attacked by the pack of coyotes. Luckily, through screaming and pepper spraying and kicking we were able to leave with the dog (who is okay). No known status of the coyotes. I think their den is within the brush behind the baseball fields, just be cautious.

At one time it was a grand old estate of John d. Rockefeller. But it's falling into hard times because of lack of investment and repairs and infrastructure because half of it falls under the East Cleveland jurisdiction which is bankrupt. The Cleveland heights side is nicer but they don't allow dogs. So we always utilize the East Cleveland side which can be a little sketchy when you're walking back in the woods and there is never any police presence and what is kind of a sketchy neighborhood. Still it can be beautiful in the spring and summer as long as you don't step in the holes in the cracked deteriorated pulverized asphalt trails which haven't seen any maintenance in many decades. Most of the trees that were original are dying of old age. There is some effort underway to plant some replacements but they have a long way to go.

Came here for a family reunion. The pavilion was nice and there was a lot to do there. The kids had a blast on the playground and we ever got to play pickle ball on the tennis court and kickball on the baseball field. Restrooms were clean and someone was on the grounds in case we had any questions or concerns. It’s also pet friendly.

Took a peaceful walk and discovered this park was bigger than I thought. I love being outside. Bathrooms are pretty clean. It has a playground across the park. It's been rebuilt.

Went to the park to find somewhere shady to eat lunch. Found a parking spot near an empty picnic table under a large tree. We were right by the ball fields and spent an amazing couple of hours enjoying the breeze while watching an epic kickball game. Thinking this might be a new Sunday lunch spot.

We've played at a lot of ball fields. The Cleveland Hts fields are very well maintained, the dugouts were nice, and there was concession and bathrooms right next to the fields

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of the most beautiful statues I've ever seen. If you visit Lake View Cemetery (and you absolutely should), you simply must visit the Haserot Angel. The detailing and care put into the statue is incredible, it is so lifelike and serene. The actual name of the statue is Angel of Death Victorious.
