Nice park with a picnic pavilion, restrooms, and dog-friendly nature trails. Too bad that the lake is dry. :(

This place is fantastic. There's a lot of great places to walk around and with really nice trails. The scenery is fantastic it's really nice. Especially in the fall when the leaves are changing. This is a place that we like to just come and walk around and it's very pet friendly as well. I really suggest that you check it out because it's so nice.

This is a nice park for events. Big enough to host multiple events yet small enough to feel comfortable allowing children to play at a distance. Bathrooms have metal toilets and sinks and are locked at dusk. Have a bonfire at night in the large fire pit and eat in one of the covered shelters.

Beautiful park. Nice hike. Amazing to see so much nature in the center of a residential neighborhood.

I’ve been coming here for 28 years, and I don’t plan to stop. I love the shaker lakes, it’s such a great place to go for a walk with your dogs. I subtracted a star because of the drama with the dam. Removing the dam walkway is a massive inconvenience and makes it so you now cannot walk the loop, you have to double back. Everyone I know much preferred it as a lake, not whatever it is now. I hope they rebuild the dam, or at least build a walkway where it once was.

One of the East Side's gems. Great swings, climbing structures, trails, picnic areas, and above all, the fantastic spider web rope tower (that's what I called it, anyway). Even with the lake gone, this is a beautiful, placid slice of nature tucked away in suburbia.

Really well taken care of, nice amenities, clean bathrooms, lots of nooks and crannies to get the feeling of being on your own. Beautiful park.

A very nice park with plenty of open space and greenery. The small activity center is adequate for young children, and the mini amphitheater is charming and adds a lot to the area. I would like to see the construction/renovation complete —I’ve been here twice over the course of a year and didn’t see any change in its status.

Nice trails and play area for the kids. Very little water in the lake so don't be surprised that it is mostly vegetation. There are some mud flats so bird watchers can get some shore birds. We sa a semi-palmated plover and some sandpiper there.

The Park is absolutely beautiful and a peaceful place to walk. For parents bring your children. There are ropes to climb, a Maze and a set of Swings. You also have enough space to create activities. Enjoy!

The park is very secluded and nice. Clean and lots of things for the kids to do in the play area. They is also an area you can bring your own wood to get a fire started. The bathrooms were very clean. There are picnic tables and grills. We will be having a graduation party here.

It has a couple shelters with charcoal grills. I believe one can be reserved, the other is for whatever group arrives first. My group was happy with that one. There's very limited parking at the site (next to the reservable shelter), but my group found parking on the streets leading into the park. That's very close to the shelter we used.

It's a nice out of the way park and we'll monitored. There's a little walk from the parking area to the picnic area. Limited parking.

Horseshoe Lake would be a much better lake if there was water in it. The water has been drained because of concerns over the dam that the Shaker Villagers built in the 19th century to create it. Rather than repair it, it is going to be removed and Shaker Lake will be no more, despite its aesthetic and historical value! The park otherwise is nice but has lost other features, like the kids wading pool.

Public park with a good trail that goes around the lake. You are near the road at times, so it can be a little noisy, but greenery, water, and friendly folks.

I went there to pickup my granddaughter, Horseshoe Lake Park was beautiful. I hope to start walking there before the weather changes.

beautiful park with quite an interesting history and trails connect to many other metro parks in the area mostly north west via the bike paths.

Horseshoe lake is no more. I grew up on Kingston rd a hop and skip and there was my playground. I had my first kiss at the lake. Sadly I wish it could have been saved before it was too late. So sad all the animals and people have a waste land.
