Thus restaurant was absolutely amazing from the service to the food. I enjoyed every bite if my food, which was doused with flavor throughout. My server Sydne was awesome as well. We inquired as to her favorite go to meals and she didn't hesitate to offer her advice. She informed us that with no item order could we go wrong with. Admittedly, she was correct. We've definitely food us a new brunch location. They also offer mimosa and other specialty alcoholic or healthy drinks.

Cleveland Breakfast Club is my favorite for multiple reasons. I love seeing all the black staff and the culture. The food is different from all of the other brunch places. They have sweet potato waffles that are absolutely amazing. The almond butter smoothie is ridiculously good. The prices are low for food that is extremely good. I will be back at least once a month.

As indicated by other reviewers, the place has a different vibe to it and that's a plus. It has plenty of room with big windows all around, making the place well lit and appealing. Ultimately, every restaurant is judged by the quality of the food it serves, and the Cleveland Breakfast Club serves food that is OK but could be better on multiple fronts. Regardless, still a nice break from the breakfast chains and other diners.

I had a pleasant experience. here. The Lobster, Shrimp, and Grit Patty was delicious. I never had fried grits and admittedly am not a fan. But I'll definitely will be here again since I love Shaker Square and Larchmere Blvd. It could improve on service. That's one thing holding the place back, but I enjoyed every dish.

I frequented this restaurant the most when I lived in Cleveland. It had consistent good food and lackluster service (and judgmental waiters against people who dine alone, but I digress). Most items I had on the menu are worth the money. You get the most bang for your buck with the chicken and waffles. The pancakes are savory as well as the blackened catfish. Personally, I would avoid the quiche since it's a small piece of lobster as well as the grit cake since the white sauce is bland (I taught myself how to make it myself). Re: the service. It's rare that I got a refill, on water! And often it took 20+ minutes for my waiter to give me the check once I finished eating. And because I frequented the established alone, some, not all, waiters literary talked negatively about me as if I couldn't hear them. I often sat at the bar. Interestingly, nobody every asked why, which dealt with the fact that I was new in town, didn't know anybody in the area, and was finishing a Ph.D., which limited social interaction. But when you allow people to assume, they often assume the worst scenario.

My Dad is in town visiting from Orlando, I let my Sis pick a breakfast spot…. When ordering I couldn’t decide between the steak & eggs or the blackened cat fish, so I asked our server which one would she suggest… She suggested steak & eggs, I told her I would like my steak medium well. Let’s just say, my steak was not medium well, my potatoes looked old & my eggs were cold. You may ask why didn’t I send the food back, & I will reply with half of today’s employees don’t even want to work & it definitely shows. So no, thank you to sending my food back after I have an issue with it. I should of just told my server to take the meal off my bill. I did however tell the server that I wasn’t happy nor was my Father with his steak, his was not cooked medium well either. You will see our food & our receipt, server received a cash tip of $25. I am not bashing the place, however I was not happy with my food. My Sister who could not stay with us due to work, ordered food as well. She paid separately. She’s vegan and ordered scrambled hash no eggs, extra potatoes & sweet potatoes waffles with impossible sausage $37 + $8 tip.

Man this was some good breakfast ! I love that fact that they have so many different choices of meat to choose from. We got the salmon Pattie with eggs potatoes ( it’s like reg potatoes and sweet yam chunks in it too) was delicious! Then we for the cinnamon pancakes . Then we also got the shrimp and crab cakes ( but instead we got regular grits ) it was covered with like a creamy lobster and shrimp sauce. Absolutely delicious!!! Would definitely recommend . I’m mad I’m just now eating it 😩😩😩

First time trying this breakfast and lunch spot! Really believe it’s a hidden GEM! Located in the Shaker area which is nice. The grits and blackened salmon were my favorite, second to that was the chicken and waffles. The batter and butter spread for the waffles are TOP TIER! If you haven’t gone- GO TOMORROW! Will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!

Black owned business! 👏 Even though we came hour before closing, The food taste great and presentation was impressive. The owner made his presence known by making his rounds of the restaurant, randomly making sure guest needs were taking care of. I like that! He even went as far as to bringing my mom's sunglasses out to us as we were getting into our vehicle. Food and service is the reason why we will be returning.

The decor of this place is spacious and has a nice antique modern touch. Jaz was so patient and kind. She knew everything about the restaurant and was so sweet! The food was delicious 😋!! Not one complaint! I will be back asap. The avocado toast was perfection!

Great place for breakfast with a "club-like" atmosphere. Service was fast and attentive, the restaurant itself was clean and organized, and there was a lot of dishes to choose from. I tried out the ultimate potato and pepper scramble and the stuffed French toast, and my friend tried the chicken and waffle. I got steak as my protein, and the whole dish was wonderful! It came with sides of ketchup, A1, and hot sauce. The stuffed French toast was delicious, and it consisted of fluffy slabs with blueberries, strawberries, and cream sandwiched between them. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place has great potential! I like the atmosphere, the music is throw back r&b and the drinks were good, however the service needs a lot of work. I went solo and just ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes with grits, eggs, and bacon and the food was pretty good, the pancakes were spongy and really thick. The grits were the bomb! However it took me abt 15 min to get a drink once I sat down then another 45 min to get my food. I really hope they polish up their service and food times because other wise it would be a great spot!

The wait was crazy but I have to support my black businesses. My waitress was slim, light brown eyes, with black hair with bluish grayish hair tips and she was really nice and awesome. Her professionalism is why this place gets 4 stars. The waffle was good too.

Good food selections, good/fast service. I had salmon and grits and cheese biscuit, with strawberry & orange mimosa. Salmon croquette was good, but had 3-4 bones still in croquette. Asked for crispy or well-done, due to previous experience, but croquette was still on the softer side, but darker🤷🏾‍♀️. Bread was probably from yesterday or very early in morning, due to taste. Grits was okay, not very cheesy, but good with salt & pepper.

Glad to experience this Black-owned restaurant. Mother's Day was extremely busy & we understood; Our waitress was very pleasant and made sure we had a great experience...but went back the following Saturday morning & the experience was unsatisfying for our group of 4 people. Our server seemed untrained for the hospitality sector. Food was good... but that customer service left a bad taste. We'll give it a 3 and hopefully for our third trip back - we'll move it up to a 4. (Hopefully 2 outta 3)

The establishment was clean and spacious. The menu has a lot of good options. I got the chicken and waffles. They were ok. The flavor of the chicken was but it was over cooked I wasn't a fan of the waffle and I had high expectations. The melange potatoes were really good. The customer service was lacking. No one greeted us coming or going but I don't know if that was the vibe lol. Overall I would give it another shot.

Upfront: This is not a fast food place; it is meant to be a brunch environment similar to what's being established in larger metropolitan areas. From what I learned by asking the question, the servers fulfill multiple roles per table, contributing to a slower service timeframe. There are many things operationally that could be optimized, but I'll provide feedback based on what I went there for... food. The fresh squeezed drinks were filled with flavor, and the alcoholic beverage (the passion fruit one) was a good mix of potent and palatable. Foodwise, if you have a palate for it, I would highly recommend the quiche louisiana and the lobster and shrimp gritcakes. If you're not a fan of gullah/ southern type cuisine, then you have your more basic options available. The pancakes and french toast were tasty on that side as well. The blueberry banana pancake has the most flavor to me, due to it's blueberry compote complimenting the spiced pancake. I would budget a good 1.5-2 hours here depending on when you get checked in and sat. It would have been nice for them to have dedicated drink personnel to speed up the initial service functions, as it takes away and adds to the wait. Atmosphere -- Like I said, it's meant to be a brunch experience and not a first watch type restaurant. So go and enjoy your company while listening to some old school music

I love it here the only thing I heard that was the biggest complaint was, there was no attention when crowded paid enough attention to the patrons comming in and waiting..there were several people walking out! No one says hello and greets u correctly to say please forgive the wait or u have 4 people ahead or would u like to sit at the bar?? Nothing..so people left...but food on point and the servers are fabulous..

I’ve been here several times because I enjoy the food and atmosphere. The last time I went was Mother’s Day and we waited a very LONG time to be seated and to eat, but I chalked it up to the occasion. This time was a regular Sunday, and when we arrived we were seated right away. However, no one came to greet us or take our drink order. After about 15 minutes, I flagged down the hostess who seated us asking for our server. Someone came over eventually and apologized for the wait. We put in our drink and food order and waited for our drinks. Our drinks never came. We waited 20-30 minutes and our server walked past us several times and didn’t acknowledge us at all. Several customers who were seated after us were served and had their drinks/food. We ended up leaving disappointed and hungry. I won’t be back.

I have been here (THE VEGAN CLUB) twice and both times did not disappoint. The staff is kind and the food is amazing. I love that they use oyster mushrooms for so many of the dishes. Just out of this world!
