Lovely spot to break your journey on the way back to Perth. First place in a month long trip where we had to pay for parking. Small shop with cafe but the cafe was closed and no coffee on offer. Mobile coffee van shut up and drove off while we were in the shop. Very clean public toilets. Nice walk to the sandbank and beach. Lots of signage about the river and the effect that the sandbar has in the ecology of the estuary.

Beautiful place to spend your weekend. Suggest carry your own food if you do not want to spend extra for a very basic standard.

Just an hour away from Perth. Another perfect location for a weekend gateaway. Plenty of camping options. Kayak, swim etc…

Beautiful place to spend a day with family and friends. Clean toilets. Lots of good places to have food. Cafe nearby. Perfect photos can be taken at sunset.

Absolutely stunning view. The estuary is beautiful. The river..the ocean ...it's all calm and serene.

Beautiful relaxing. It's definitely worth a visit and spend a day or two. Bring your picnic hamper and drinks.

River and ocean meet at the beach! The water was warm today and good for this very hot day! On the river side it's great for kids and family. Very calm and not overly busy.

The experience of visiting an estuary just bordered by the Indian Ocean was exciting and enjoyed the walk on the sand bar and pictures from the lookout

Amazing estuary view. But too many people here for me. Climbing up to the highest point would be good.

More river great spot for family Little caravan park and general store there. No dogs allowed around actual river and down towards the beach but if you’re looking to take your dog you can go North about 1K towards the light house where there is parking and a dog free zone . Great little spot out on the beach that’s where I took our dog think most of the local go there nice and quiet Kids had a great time

An epic place to spend with the family. There is a cafe nearby, which is easy to access if you get hungry. Definitely need your own shelter or cabana. Keep in mind there are heaps of flies and the river has a strong stench. I recommend bringing your own floating devices to chill out on the water to get away from the flies.
