Was in Waco touring around, loved the Texas Ranger museum. Stopped by Magnolia, but wanted something less pretentious to eat. Found Cupp’s. What a diamond in the rough. Small place, no frills, with extremely nice, hard working folks serving up some top notch cheeseburgers! This place will be my go to in Waco for now on. Loved it. Old school burger tasted amazing. I’ll definitely try other menu items next time. If you’re nearby, this place is a must. I highly recommend it. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains.

It's a delicious place to drop by when you're in the mood for a burger. I 100% recommend. They will load up the toppings on your food, and it's so good that every time I go, I devour everything.

Best burger I've had in quite a while! Very friendly staff and patrons. The onion rings and steak fingers are dredged in mustard giving them an additional depth of flavor.

Ignore the large billboards for fast food chains and get 5 mins off I 35 in Waco for this homemade style burger and fries diner—they show why it’s always good to support local business, the Food ones especially. This place started in 1947 and knows what they’re cooking. We had the bacon burger basket (that had a burger, insanely long hand cut fries, and a drink), chicken nuggets that came with fries and a chicken burger. But really, most go there for the cheese burger, could tell from all the cooking and assembly happening right in front of us. The chicken breast in my burger was the only one on amongst the hundreds of smashed beef patties simmering on the griddle in batches. The chicken was fibrous and hard compared to the other steaming juicy patties. Not complaining as the rest of the burger was super fresh on lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Bacon and nuggets were yummy. The seating is cozy, with other diners—4 tables for 4 each—all back to back. Staff was busy and efficient. Look for the reasonable rates in the pics of the menu board in this review.

This place brought me to tears. I don’t live around my family and the taste of the fries and the batter on the steak fingers and the unsweetened tea, I just can’t even put into words what that did for my soul. Get their onion rings too, life changing! So blessed to have found this place. The people are amazing, the atmosphere feels like home, and the food just puts you at ease.

Trip to Waco, had to stop at Cupp's Burger Drive-In for a burger 🍔 and fries 🍟. This place has been family owned and operated since 1947. When my family lived in Waco, this is the place Dad would take us. Our extended family came here as well. So...now when we come back to visit family, we HAVE to stop for a meal. 🥰

This is a great spot for classic burgers in Waco and has been since 1947. This definitely one if the staples in town. Service was great, they treat you like family. This is a true dinner and it's not for those that have issues with being in close quarters.

Burgers were good , a tad pricier for me. I had the cheeseburger basket it comes with fries and a drink. The burger was good overall except it can get soggy fast. They serve breakfast as well. Will be back to try that. They also have lunch specials. The place is very small inside, but they do have some seating outside.

First time visiting this legendary Waco burger landmark. We were not disappointed. First, the owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We got to hear a little about the history of Cupp’s straight from the owner, which was interesting. It’s very encouraging to hear about a successful family owned business that’s been around for decades. After looking over the menu, we decided to go with what they were famous for. I had the double double basket and the wife had the bacon cheeseburger. We split the fries. All I can say is “wow”! The burgers were perfect. The meat was fresh and seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The veggies were fresh, crisp and tasty. The fries are as good as they get. They’re hand made fresh from russet potatoes daily and fried to perfection. You’ll gobble them up. Will definitely be a regular at Cupp’s from now on. I wish we had tried it sooner. One thing…the place is very small with limited seating so you’ll do best to avoid the prime lunch hour rush if you can.

Freddie and Sherry have kept their mothers hamburger business going. They use fresh products on a bun and the know how to make it taste great. It's got a family atmosphere and priced just right. It's a small building with stools at the counter and booths it's like sitting at the kitchen table at home. Outside seating is available also. Call in and take-out are options. Come in and feel like part of the family.

What a burger joint! Feels classic, feels like home! The burgers are absolutely amazing. The fries are tasty too! The service is good ol’ fashion down home sweetness! I definitely recommend this spot in Waco!

Fantastic food.. The staff are so in tune with each other. it's almost like a ballet in their small area. Small dining area but more than worth the wait.

If you want a great burger, this is the place! It has been around a long time. It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some customers are on a first name basis, reminds me of the old show Cheers.

I went there on a Monday about 12. They were extremely busy. Not your typical fast food burger spot. I was behind a customer with 10 burger orders and one with 6. When I did get to order, my food was better than I expected. Staff was great, nice and courteous. Even though there was a wait, I left happy. I will be back and would highly recommend it. If you are looking for short order burger spot, this is your place.

Great food the burger was top notch but extremely expensive. Possibly in reaction to covid but more than a little steep. They've been here forever so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that prices will settle out later. Fries were okay a little soggy. But the burger was delicious. I think this single meat bacon cheeseburger combo was 12 dollars without a drink.

What a wonderful little dive here in Waco! Eight stools and four booths keep this tiny burger joint full all the time as patrons come in and eat quickly only to have their spot filled within moments of their exit. The burgers are seasoned perfectly and grilled to order. What took my breath away was the steak fingersthat are cut, breaded, and fried to order. All of the meats looked fresh and tasty, which they definitely were! This was my first visit but certainly not my last. Best burger that I've found here in Waco since moving here a year ago. Way to go, Cupps!

Very very impressed food is great workers are great, and they took care of me. I normally don't leave reviews for burger joints I'm telling you this is a one of a kind place. Big thanks to cupps drive in.

What a pleasant surprise. Great little burger joint. This place will take you back in time when a hamburger stand was something delicious and unique. Very small venue so have some patience while these guys cook you an outstanding meal.

Great little burger joint. They offer a nice selection on their menu and prices are reasonable. The burgers were good. I was told the steak fingers are a crowd favorite. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant itself is like a step back in time. Really enjoyed it!
