I
35
in
Waco
for
this
homemade
style
burger
and
fries
diner—they
show
why
it’s
always
good
to
support
local
business,
the
Food
ones
especially.
This
place
started
in
1947
and
knows
what
they’re
cooking.
We
had
the
bacon
burger
basket
(that
had
a
burger,
insanely
long
hand
cut
fries,
and
a
drink),
chicken
nuggets
that
came
with
fries
and
a
chicken
burger.
But
really,
most
go
there
for
the
cheese
burger,
could
tell
from
all
the
cooking
and
assembly
happening
right
in
front
of
us.
The
chicken
breast
in
my
burger
was
the
only
one
on
amongst
the
hundreds
of
smashed
beef
patties
simmering
on
the
griddle
in
batches.
The
chicken
was
fibrous
and
hard
compared
to
the
other
steaming
juicy
patties.
Not
complaining
as
the
rest
of
the
burger
was
super
fresh
on
lettuce,
tomatoes
and
pickles.
Bacon
and
nuggets
were
yummy.
The
seating
is
cozy,
with
other
diners—4
tables
for
4
each—all
back
to
back.
Staff
was
busy
and
efficient.
Look
for
the
reasonable
rates
in
the

of
the
menu
board
in
this
review.
