I always enjoy Delapre Abbey! They're good at opening up further spaces for parking which is always good when its busy! They also have their cafe and food truck there to get a quick snack! If you're looking to walk there, there are plenty of entry points around it from different parts too.

Delapre is a large estate that is publicly owned. The main abbey has recently been renovated, including the stonework. There is a small coffee shop for ramblers and dog walkers, a larger cafe, the Orangery that has a good range of menu based dishes. The separate restaurant, Hibiscus is only open in the evening, please check timing and dates. There is also plenty of space to walk, with a large wood and a lake at the eastern edge of the estate. The walled garden behind the abbey is typically well tended with flowers and a variety of plants, late spring through the summer. More recently beehives have been introduced to enhance the ecosystem. If you’re prepared with a stout pair of boots to investigate, the whole area is quite extensive. Parking is free, and it’s a great place to roam for couples and families.

Ruddy love Delapre Park. It goes on forever and is a constant source of surprise. Cafe in the Abbey (open in lockdown for takeaways) free parking. Open grassland, woodlands, great big lake!

Abbey set within beautiful grounds, with large woodland areas, walled garden and a lake. Free parking, and free to explore the grounds. Dogs are allowed. There is a cafe and public toilets.

Dinosaur in the park. It was really awesome and one of a kind. It's really fun for kids. There is ample of parking space available paid as well as free. More than enough dinosaur varieties with options for kids to enjoy food and games especially jumping castle.

A great place. Water on one side and forest on the other for a lovely walk about the lake. The perfect walk. Just wish more people would respect the social distancing rules

Had an amazing time here a couple of days ago. I must be honest, I have been a little sceptical at first about this place but it turnes out to be an amazing afternoon. Got tickets for an outdoor film afternoon and it was the best decision I made in a while. I was a bit unsure about how the weather will be, but it ended up being one of the hottest days of the month of July. Arrived right on time, got directed to the spot and received 2 pairs of headphones for me and my partner. Movie on! Perfect weather. Perfect time. Perfect moment. Despite being ready to watch the film feom inside the car, we ended up putting a blanket and sat down throughout the entire film. I wish we could do this again but it turns out this "outdoor cinema" will be shut soon. Amazing afternoon and I highly recommend this experience to anyone. You won't regret it

A fantastic place for a nice day out. If the weather is good you can picnic (with your dog off the lead too!) on the well maintained grass areas or in some shaded woodland. The parking is free and quite easy. There is a walled garden (dogs on leads) and there is a lake where people fish (with a permit) and dogs can jump in and out of the water easily. The cafe is nice and we enjoyed bacon and brie toasties. Dogs are not allowed inside the cafe but there are tables outsidr which are nice.

Been promising myself to visit for ages having listened to people who have visited on the local radio. What a lovely place wonderful parkland with a lake which sadly we never had time to visit and a nice walled garden. The Abbey and addictional buildings looked very well kept. There is a doggy walkers coffee outlet and a cafe with a good choice of foods to eat in or out. The park has easy access and free parking. They also host event weekends . Willie returning very soon.

Lovely walks and very nice cream tea - eventually! They sat me at an empty table in the Orangery, then forgot to take my order, so I had to ask at the counter for someone to take my order ☹️. Worth the very long wait but not the rude waitress who delivered it.

I would have given 5 stars but the only fault was that the Common Ground coffee shop was closed and not open until sometime in March l go there everyday with our dog and get a coffee and go in the lovely walled garden and feed the birds but we are so lucky to have Delapre Abbey

Very close proximity to the University of Northampton now, new pathways too lake full of birds, seen water skiing too, always nice food in the Orangery, love going there in nice weather with my family, catching Pokemons, three or four gyms and quite few stops

Lots of wonderful space for dog walking or just strolling amongst the trees, woodland and walled garden. Wonderful historic old building. Lots of parking too. The cafeteria is lovely with outdoor seating and super helpful staff too but we thought it was a bit pricey and lacking in variety. In the past the little coffee shop in the walled garden was wonderful with fairly priced food and seemed to do a very good trade. Really miss that as did some more visitors we chatted to today. Peaceful, pleasant environment overall.

A lovely place to visit and explore. Plenty of parking and lots to see - inside and outside. Great for walking and exploring. Facilities are available and are tidy, clean and well resourced.

Winter lights trail was wonderful, I would highly recommend wellies! I didn’t have mine and it was very muddy!! The trail itself was really lovely, some very cute light shows and the accompanying music was perfectly suited. The whole spectacle was beautiful and the food was good (slightly overpriced but as expected) the staff were also really friendly and accommodating, they offered to take pics as it was just me and my toddler grandson. Good facilities and really easy to book online. My only suggestion would be to put the honeycomb flooring in more areas to avoid the mud, navigating with a buggy was, at times, difficult, but not impossible. A perfect Family day out.

Really enjoyed a lovely dog walk around this beautiful park. Large open green spaces that my four-legged friend enjoyed with his tennis ball. Then a really nice walk around the lake and through the woods to make sure he went home good and muddy. Free parking was a bonus!

Just a beautiful place. A great walk with friends or family, or with the dog, on your own...just lovely. Beautiful flowered area and gardens. Great place for a picnic. Beautiful unique trees dotted around. Lovely food served at the cafe quite expensive on some things but it's very good quality. Restaurant looks amazing too. Love coming here. Great events throughout the year too
