So truthfully, the food here is really good. I've been a bunch of times and always appreciate what's served in front of me. Collectively, I find my issues revolving around the service and overall timeliness of the staff. They quite often take a long time to see to you and process what you're saying, and a few different times, I have gotten my food order wrong. That being said, I keep going back, partly for the food, partly for the outdoor seating and hookah but certainly not for the service...

A spacious cafe with a large menu of teas, pastries, and lunch and dinner options. Plenty of seats upstairs, downstairs, and outdoors. Decor is welcoming and includes a number of paintings and unique plates. Prices are reasonable. Great place to hang out and do work. Staff are also very friendly.

Upon walking into the place, it felt very unorganized. But we wanted to give it a chance anyway. They seated us at a dirty table until they "cleaned" a table for us. Finally , hen we got our table it was still dirty , nd it wasn't wiped down. After sitting for about 15 minute's one guy comes and takes our order. We ordered 2 Turkish coffees and two kunafeh. It took them about 1 hr to prepare this. Coffee was just burnt and definitely not Turkish coffee. Kunafeh was not sweet at all. It was so saugy and not tasty. The only good beverage we had was the fresh squeezed juice. You have to stand in line to pay and the girl behind the counter was super rude. She was putting prepared coffee right there in front of the paying screen where everyone is reaching over the prepared drinks. It's very dirty inside and I would definitely not recommend this place at all!!

I could never recommend Andala more highly. As a Harvard grad student in 09' this was the late night study and hookah spot for myself and Iraqi Assyrian best friend. I was so happy it was still there and as wonderful. Fantastic Arabic and Turkish coffee, great meat and spinach pies and Jerusalem sandwich. Very reasonable hookah. No place like home. Andala is a warm blanket of Arabic love.

Andala Coffee House offers a peaceful respite for those in search of a breakfast or brunch with an exotic twist. It’s decorated with charming Middle Eastern inspired decor, and on my recent visit, the relaxed ambiance and attentive staff ensured a pleasant dining experience. Looking for a more filling start to our day, my friend and I chose the Kufta Besiniah and Chicken Kabob for our brunch. Both dishes, served with rice and vegetables, proved to be excellent choices. The Chicken Kabob was particularly good. Crafted from tender chicken breast, the dish was moist and flavorful, avoiding the dryness that often plagues this cut. The accompanying Jineen salad, a mix of cucumber, fresh parsley, and tomatoes, added a refreshing counterpoint to the savory kabob. Equally enjoyable was the Kufta Besiniah, a sumptuous dish featuring a 'meat pancake' of baked ground beef, generously topped with fresh tomatoes. Despite its thickness, the beef remained tender and succulent. Paired with onions and grilled bell peppers, this dish provided a satisfying complexity of flavors. The Andala Coffee House proves a cozy haven for those in search of an interesting, filling brunch. It's a delightful experience well worth the visit.

This is a great place to come for brunch where the food isn’t as heavy. The Chicken Musakhan Sandwich was very flavorful - definitely good for your money's worth. The Merguez Hummus plate was also very good but maybe a little expensive for the amount of food you get. Their omelets are not bad but I would recommend their Middle Eastern food which is what they're known for.

Friendly yet inattentive service. Self-service (as in get up and go get it yourself) on the water, which is a tad annoying because they still expect full tips. Food was unremarkable. Falafel overcooked. Hummus bland. Pita dry, almost stale. They overcharged my side order of two eggs, which shows as $2.95 on the menu; however, they rang it up as two separate $1.95 sides. Wasn’t worth saying anything but it was totally necessary in order to avoid leaving hungry. Likelihood of return visit: low.

This is a cozy spot for WFH or hang out with friends. The food is amazing, definitely try the garlic thyme chicken dish. The hummus is fresh and there is chicken and beef option with the hummus as well. Great spot in Cambridge!

The food was quite fantastic. Loved their hummus plate- it was fresh with proper toppings. My husband said the Thyme Garlic Chicken was one of the best dishes he ever had. It was very well cooked with proper spices. The Knafeh was a little too sweet for me. I have always had the Turkish Knafeh which is my favorite. The one that they had was quite a different version. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was intense crowded. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated and looked like they had less staff as they forgot some items that we ordered, then gave us the wrong check. Other than that definitely going back for the food.

Super cute cafe with good drinks and food that’s open late and has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Loved the turtle latte - hazelnut flavor and coffee, highly recommend. The mocha latte was good too but a little too sweet. Chicken shawarma sandwich was super good but messy. Sat outside, good vibes and the table next to us had hookah.

I came here around 8pm to do some late night work and was able to find seating without any issue. The Chai Latte and Chicken Shawarma Plate were both delicious. Would definitely recommend! The service was super friendly as well!

When I say Andala has everything and does it well, I mean coffee, tea, other excellent non-alcoholic drinks, desserts, breakfast, lunch, dinner, every type of space to relax/do work/chat in both indoor and outdoor, and if you would like to partake, hookah. A quintessential Cambridge secret that Harvard college folks don't seem to know about at all, and a must visit that is affordable, full of wonderful staff, complete with impeccable vibes and deco, and will not disappoint. IMO this place deserves a Michelin star.

The food is impeccable (the chicken shawarma and pots of tea are so good. I'd love more non-caffeinated teas, though) Atmosphere and cute seating, the staff is so nice. I do feel like the staff forgets about me sometimes and I'm not sure if I should just go to the counter, but overall this place is a gem and a Boston mainstay.

The food I got was delicious, but the service and overall experience was less great. I got a turtle latte and falafel sandwich, the latte was a bit sweet but I was anticipating that, and the falafel sandwich wasn't a sandwich, more like a pita or something. However, I thought this place was more of a coffeehouse deal but it was sit-down, which caught me off guard. The service I recieved wasn't particularly warm or friendly, but it seemed she was manning the whole floor. I was a bit lost in terms of what to do, where to order, sit, etc.

Really love the decor of the place. Highly recommend both the Turkish and Arabic coffee. As for the food, their hummus is amazing. The rice in their rice plates leans a little too salty, but the protein options are all pretty solid. Service can drag a little though (especially if you're seated downstairs).

Low key service, order at counter or from your table. There’s more tables in the basement where the kitchen also is. Very Arab menu and sensibilities, so you’re dropped into a different food zone. Overlooked because it is just off the beaten path. Fun to try and experience the Middle East.

I was looking for a coffee shop to get some work done, and this was a great choice. On a Sunday morning/afternoon, it was pretty busy, so I grabbed a seat at a counter and ordered a mocha. In addition to the floor that you enter on, there's a downstairs too with more tables for small groups that would be great for eating. he coffee was fine, though I wasn't particularly blown away. The mocha flavor was not very strong and it wasn't very hot/cooled very quickly. That being said, it's more than adequate as a spot for casual work, brunch, or people watching. It's an Arabic coffee shop, and the décor definitely celebrates that and emits a "busy" vibe. I thought it was quite interesting that they played Latin music pretty much exclusively until 12 PM, when they switched to English-language mainstream pop music as it got busier. The servers were pleasant enough and didn't rush me out, which was much appreciated.

We came for breakfast. The atmosphere is very nice and cultural. The service was excellent and fast. We had a farmer's omelette and chicken shawarma. Both were good. But the cheese in the omelette wasn't melted. The Turkish coffee was good, too.

This is such a cute place. It’s a house retrofitted to be a restaurant. It has great decor, very chill vibes. My friends and I sat on a porch area that was out of the sight lines of the waiters, so it took a while to order and pay the bill I got an apple juice and a mushroom omelet. I didn’t expect the apple juice to be green apple, so I was surprised by how sour it was. The omelet needed more mushrooms and to have the cheese spread out more. Most of the cheese was lumped toward the middle, which made me think there wasn’t any cheese while eating the outer edges. The omelet comes with toast and potatoes. The toast was fine, but the potatoes were almost burnt. But it was a filling meal in a cute place. I’d come again to try their baklava

This place has so much potential. It's nice and bright but needs a little cleaning and light remodeling for more cozy vibe. Only tried one the zaatar so far so I have to go back and try and an actual cooked dish.

My new favorite cafe place for studying now! Ordered Moroccan mint tea and a coconut dessert. I just like the atmosphere inside. Everyone is friendly and the interior design is so interesting! Love the WiFi and people there who study or play chess :)))) Fun place!

Owned by a Palestinian, Andala coffee serves long hours. Breakfast, cafe, food served. Located in Cambridge. Mint tea and pistachio cake is really yummy.

Cute spot with a cozy outdoor space. The omelettes are delish, including the home fries which were very flavorful. Coffee was also good. Service is a bit slow so this spot is good if you’re looking to hang out for a while.

I went here with a few friends and everyone was impressed by how cozy the place was, it gave at home vibes. The food was adorable and fit for the portion. The guy Michael was super sweet and helpful!! Update: I went back again today and the had three servers on but they literally came to check on use every 15+ mins. I had to get up several times to get napkins and water, two servers were on their phones. The food is great though but there service is hit or miss.

Super calming atmosphere full of plants and brightly colored lamps. The seat I sat in has heaters underneath and it made me forget about the 20 degree weather outside. I am a picky eater but the food was so good and came very quickly, within 5-10 minutes. I highly recommend this place and I will be coming back with my other family members.
