This a park on the old workings of a pit. Lots of different trails going all around this place, to suit various abilities and fitness. The view from the top is awesome on a clear day, with a stone statue representing its mining history. A few benches doted around, some in good repair some not so great. Could do with a little t.l.c in place's but worth a visit, great place to walk with the dog's. If people could take their litter back dowm with them to the bins it would be even better.

Surprising amount of trails and paths, all in beautiful woodland with some fantastic views from the top. The miners sundial is nice, with benches, 360° views, and points of interest mapped out on the clock hour stones. Ample parking, easy to follow signposts, well maintained paths.

Hafod Woodland is a beautiful and vast woodland located in Wrexham. The woodland covers nearly 90 acres and includes a large hill, known locally as picnic mountain. Thousands of trees have been planted on the site to make Hafod one of the largest community woodlands in North East Wales. The park is particularly noted for great crested newts and skylarks. The Council and community have done an excellent job of maintaining the park and ensuring that it is accessible to the public. The network of paths takes you to the top of the hill where there are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. I would highly recommend visiting Hafod Woodland if you're looking for a peaceful and scenic place to spend your day. It's a great place to go for a walk, have a picnic, or just relax and enjoy nature. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Hafod Woodland for its beauty, accessibility, and peacefulness. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! 🌳🌲🌳

Not a safe place, suggest people don't visit. I was here last weekend and just outside the woodland I stopped to to make a note on a shopping list that I'd remembered. I was in running shorts, out jogging/walking which must have been pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain. A passing car stopped and a thug got out. He'd decided that the pen I'd been using was a needle and I'd been injecting myself and was rough, violent and unpleasant without going into detail. He reckoned he was 'making the place safer' by threatening/hitting just anyone he doesn't like the look of basically - he was a local. The simple fact is here you can't walk down the street anywhere in this area without the local mafia threatening you. Despite what they think they aren't making it safe, they are making it unsafe for anyone to be here and I certainly wouldn't be taking kids to such an area and under no circumstances should anyone be here alone. I've walked all over the country. I'm a good guy who picks up litter and does my bit, never touched a drug in my life. I've also never been threatened in my life, until I visited this appalling area. Just stay well clear is my advice, go somewhere further in the countryside where these type of people just don't go.
