One of the strangest experiences I have had. Let's start... The place smelt of damp and had plug in electric heaters everywhere. It looked like someone had been to.the Carbost sale and purchased everything and put it up... Literally in one room you had a horse racing canvas with some Indian canvas. To add to the atmospheric experience there was NOW that's what I call music dance on in the restaurant playing some classic dance music along with scooter being played at high volume in the other room. I love scooter but not while I'm out for a meal. The food then comes ..my starter was brilliant nicely cooked. The main was awful with cheap chicken cuts and cold. My wife's was a mass of prawns stuck together which she didn't touch. When the moody waiter came over and asked "Have you finished ?" We said yes he just laughed. Strange old place ....but if you love ..Loud music... Drunk men disturbing you while eating....Scooter....Horse racing....This place is for you. Thanks for an entertaining few hours.

Had Mr Sing serve us a great meal the other day; he really took care of us including 2 toddlers. Food was great with fast service and “special sauce “ for my son who likes very hot curry. Naans were all tasty, good portion size curry with really distinctive flavours. A good find in Gresford . Kevin from Canada

Not for me... very odd setting... was a traditional pub and actually still is... apart from its now an Indian (pub) restaurant. Gawdish deco... hard to describe... Its like an Indian you'd expect in the series Benidore... Mmmmmmmm The food.... Rice very dry... 4 pieces of Lamb in my dinner... Gave up and left it... Grabbed some food from the Co-op which luckily is built in the car park of the pub...Definitely Benidorm in Blighty this set up.... I can safely say I'll never return....

Visited here many times and the food is always fantastic, along with the warm welcome and service of Mr Singh and the staff.

Very good food and good service from Mr Singh and his staff. Also sky & bt sport if thats your thing. Not the first time i've been here and won't be the last.

Chicken Chat starter was great! Very fresh and tasty! Mr Singh service is second to none! Had many curry’s from here, both eating in and takeaway - all are really great! Testimony to this is friends who lived near curry mile in Manchester saying this is on par or better!!

First impressions were very welcoming as we hadn't booked and were seated straight away. Although they were busy the food was prompt and was one of the nicest indian meals I've had very tasty and nice quality. Also very reasonably priced. Will come again.

Only ever had takeaway but it's first class. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere.

Had a really nice meal at the the Red Lion tonight. The guy that served us was very pleasant and helpful. We went there a few months ago and it was just as nice, the takeaways are also very good and you don't have to wait long for food, I highly recommend anyone trying this place out for themselves......

Fabulous food, service and reasonably priced. Only our 2nd visit andon this occasion we were served by Mr Singh. Very friendly and professional. What a positive experience. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you, we look forward to a return visit in the near future

Haven't had food yet but its a lovely pub land lord really nice there's so many people out there that want go there cos its an Indian man running we all have the same colour blood just try this place out you want be disappointed

Had a great meal last night with friends. The food was delicious - Chicken Shashlik was amazing, and the service was great - really attentive. The place has a good ambience and very reasonable too. Will definitely be back.

Just had a Take Away from the Red Lion Marford - All I can say is that it was dreadful - Food was cold and wasn't what was ordered - Naan breads were like 'rubber' - My wife phoned up to complain and they weren't interested - First time we have tried it - but for sure it will be the last

Under new ownership and management, providing excellent customer service and fantastic Indian cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended and good value with an extensive menu choice. Take away service also available. Great choice of beers/lagers available and both Sky Sports & BT Sport always on big screen in the Bar area.

Amazing customer service great food so tasty defo recommend would be going again and was again great with my dog

Very poor, very rude. Went to visit friends for a week in North Wales. Beer garden benches unstable and rotting, fire marks in flower borders, while there heard several "regular" customers discussing late night violence among locals and some agression from locals towards female customers. "Regular" "manageress" seems hostile towards customers and was rather short with myself and husband at the bar. No food, run down, local drinking shed. Shame we can't give this no stars, it was such a nice place last time we visited.

Family funeral, chose second buffet option, which was the best food we'd had in a funeral before (trying not too make a habit of it) really would definately recommend, nicely decorated, lots of different sections to sit so you can get your own privacy, without losing the atmosphere. staff accommodating, lots of parking, would go back again for a normal meal/Family get together

A traditional style pub with friendly staff and a good selection of beers and alcopops. There are regular quizzes and karaoke too. Overall, a nice place to spend an evening with friends.

The food was delicious didn't have a pint.

Just had second takeaway food excellent as was the first on opening night
