Met my cousin here for a bite to eat and then to watch beach volleyball. The food was tasty, the drinks were delicious and watching the beach volleyball was fun. Ive never been to a place like this so it was a fun experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Large portion of fried oysters. But fries were a little soggy. Good portions for the price. Mahi blackened tacos were tasty and spicy Sriracha cream a good addition. Beers are awesome and food is good.

You have to look for this place and it's a fantastic find! Good local folks own this and other establishments in Wilmington and have well trained staff. Our food was very good and made fresh to order. I wish we had the time that evening to take advantage of the steamed oysters special. Oh the craft beer is excellent! I had the Scotch Ale and loved it. Dress casual and enjoy good food, good people and a good time.

This place was much better than we expected. All of the food was delicious, good quality ingredients. Our whole family loved it. Great service, great beer, excellent hush puppies, buttery crispy big grilled cheese for the kids. Really good fries. Great vibe. We were honestly so impressed.

I can't believe in all the years I've lived in or near Wilmington this was my first visit ever to Capt'n Bill's Backyard Grill. I am not a volleyball player. Trust me I've tried. But it is a lot of fun to watch. Especially when it's an improv game with teams made up of aging ECU Alumni after a few rounds of Bill's home brews. Speaking of brews, I really liked the Watermelon Mint. It was light and not bitter. The Blue Velvet was okay. Bill's Light was pretty good for a more traditional beer flavor. Our alumni gathering included heavy appetizers, I assume provided by Bill's. I've never seen a round platter full of French fries before. The fries and chicken tenders were tasty. A bout of showers brought the tournament games to an early end, but the well-lit courts make it easy to play after dark. I would recommend hanging out at Capt'n Bill's. Bring your furbaby, kick off your flip flops, and chill on the back porch with a cool brew.

What a great place! Food was amazing, staff was excellent, they put on awesome volleyball tournaments and the owner is a great guy. Spend your money here and support a wonderful business. My family had a great time!!

Capt'n Bills is truly a unique place. Whether you're a fan of volleyball or just looking for a night out, Bills has you covered. Craft beer fan? They've got you covered there too with their own, brewed in-house selection. The new expansion is going to be a game changer as well. Good food. Good people. Good times. Would recommend!

From a food perspective everything was just average. I got the fried chicken wrap, my wife got a grilled chicken sandwich, and my son got the bean pita. All we're okay but nothing outstanding. The service was really good and watching everyone play volleyball was really cool. If I went back it would be just to drink the good beer and watch volleyball.

Amazing place to play volleyball. The staff is so nice and helpful. The courts are great and the sand is very soft! I had a great time playing here. The food and drinks were nice too!!

This place is amazing! As a volleyball player, it has everything: outdoor leagues and tournaments on 10 beach courts, 3 different bars, and a friendly atmosphere. Food is good as well, and everything is priced well. Would even say you get more than you pay for. If you don't play volleyball, but want something to watch while you're earing/drinking, you can't beat it!

Well what an interesting find in the parking lot of the brewery. Came for a Sunday afternoon fundraiser. We were able to order food through an app that was delivered to our table. I had a grilled grouper sandwich which was delicious. The fish was fresh, moist and plentiful. Added onion rings that were some of the best around!

We catered food from Musser's for a family get together. It was delicious. Everybody especially loved the fried chicken. The strawberry salad was a hit also. Erin was wonderful to work with on helping me decide what food choices and how much I would need. I would definitely use them again. All the food was good.

Great place to play volleyball and have fun. Even if you’re there to watch it’s fun, everyone seems to be having a great time and a very friendly crowd. If you’re at all interested in a social sport I would check it out. If looks like there are leagues for all levels of play. Reasonable priced beer and good food is available as well.

I loved visiting here with my best friend on our weekend trip to Wilmington since this is where they filmed the volleyball scene on the summer I turned pretty. However, the entrees and margarita were just okay. The service was fine and the nachos were delicious though!

Went here to watch a friend play some games of volleyball. Atmosphere is great and I had a really good time. Food and drinks are pretty good here too so that was a plus!

Been a few times over the last couple years for my daughters volleyball tournaments. Great facility, great food, great staff, and top notch service!! We’ve already got plans to return!!

Came here for my first time this weekend and it was awesome, very cool atmosphere!! My bartender Demi was the best, she accommodated with everything I needed and made me feel welcome! Definitely will be coming back!

Captn Bills is just a place you can go with friends to eat and have a drink or just stop by and grab a meal for yourself! The staff is wonderful. I have gone many times, grabbed dinner and sat back and watched some amazing volleyball playing. Their food is delicious and their tea is addicting! Try it some time for a different, casual night out. You won’t be disappointed!! Great place to have a party/get together or have the catering come to you!

Scarlett is amazing!!!! This bar wouldn’t be what it is without her. We came here for the first time tonight, November 6, & we had the best time!! I would honestly recommend this place to anyone!! Definitely the best place in Wilmington!

Holy cow, what an experience! I have lived in Wilmington for almost two years and today was my first time coming to captain bills. Not only was the food amazing, the service was beyond anything I could have imagined. Scarlett was outstanding, she surpassed any steakhouse, any fine dining, any high level resort service anyone could ask for. I cannot believe somewhere as local as captain bills could have the service she provided. Thank you so much for helping me find my new local spot!!!!

Captain Bill's is the place to go if you want to feel like you're hanging out on the porch at a friend's house. Volleyball courts are nice. Food is decent. There's no A/C though. Makes it kinda steamy right now but the Winter months are nice in there. Unless you want to hang out with the Buffalo Bills fans, you can get better food, better atmosphere, better TV's, and more volleyball courts at Dig and Dive a mile down the street.

Laid back, chill atmosphere. There is absolutely nothing better than coming in and just feeling like you can relax. The food was good ESPECIALLY THE QUESO AND HUSHPUPPIES! Do not pass those up. Seriously. I don’t have pictures but it’s great. Good prices too.

This place has it all - play volleyball on the numerous courts while sipping a “Bill’s Light” and nomming a BLT. One can spend many hours here, and folks, many do.

Such a FUN places. Fried oysters were just amazing. Fries were so good and tacos ( Mahi not beef) were best we've ever eaten. A fun place and great portions. It's not a quiet spot on weekends, but you shouldn't expect it to be. If you are lookingl for a fun and happy spot, then this is it! We'll be back.

What a cool place! We were in the area on business and this place was across the street from us. The shrimp was delicious, my wife had a cheeseburger, she gave it a 3 out of 5, she also ordered a order of hush puppies and loved those, she wants to go back just to order hush puppies. It was fun watching people play volleyball while we ate, our friends had their kids with them and they enjoyed playing on the sidelines in the sand. We definitely will be back.

Wanted to give Ashlan H our waitress a huge shoutout she provided exemplary service the entire day Saturday during the volleyball tournament! She gave our friend group the best service I have ever had at Bills. We come once or twice a month for events. She was friendly and communicated when our food and drinks were ready and remembered where we were playing instead of just leaving it at the table. It was nice to see her congratulate people too on a good serve or a point won. She went above and beyond to provide a good experience. Shout out to the cooks and bartenders: As always hush puppies, grilled chicken and drinks were delicious!

Great tasty food and drink options. Fun place to hang out. They have beach courts you can reserve for play. Don't go there in a hurry. It's a totally relaxed atmosphere, so it may take awhile to get your order.
