I visited this bar with my father to celebrate him turning 60 years old. We ordered two ales for him and a cola for my pregnant self. Being pregnant, I was naturally hungry (as I always am), and had my eye on the what looked to be a beef stew that I saw online on the Google reviews, prior to going to the pub. As the waitress approached our table, I enquired in regards to the available stews. She mentioned that there are only ever two stews served at a time and handed me two sheets mentioning the stews served that night. Neither were what seemed to be the beef stew I saw online; however, I couldn’t be sure, as I didn’t know the actual name of said stew, I saw online (from home). Hungry (pregnant) and desperate to try what I saw online, I approached the bar and spoke to the other bartender (closest to me), and enquired what that exact soup is, showing him an image of it on my dads phone. He proceeded to politely explain the same as the waitress did before at our table, Ie. Only two stews are served each night, etc. I said yes, I am aware thank you, was going to tell him I simply wanted to know what the stew I saw online was called when I then noticed the waitress came to stand right beside him and saw her ROLL HER EYES at me. I was shocked. What childish and rude behaviour (?) I told her that that kind of behaviour is unnecessary, especially as I am asking politely? And I am a paying customer (??) I then simply walked away from the bar. As the night progressed, I apologised to the young bar man, and said it isn’t his fault, and I’m sorry to come off rude, but in case he didn’t notice, the lady was rolling her eyes, clearly giving me undeserved attitude? He must have told her what I said, and after a further 30 mins, she came over to ‘explain herself’ Sadly, at no point did she apologize? She simply said she thought I’m taking the piss asking the other barman, seeing as she just told me there are only two soups served each night. To which I explained; ‘I do not really care, I asked with respect and honest interest. I asked for information, not attitude’ Lastly, I myself have worked as a server for many years; never EVER have I rolled my eyes at ANYONE, let alone a paying customer, even when they were being rude… I told her as much. She kept trying to explain herself, but it was putting a damper on my dads celebration and frankly, wasn’t apologetic at all. I ended up saying ‘I am pregnant so I don’t appreciate attitude; everything comes off worse to me right now. sorry you misunderstood my genuine harmless intentions, thank you, let’s leave it at that’ My dad seemed relieved,- he hates conflicts and awkward situations, but I am a firm believer in morals and rights? I approached politely and was treated disrespectfully. Even though the pub had a friendly, family like atmosphere, for me the night had been ruined through unnecessary behaviour and lastly lack of actual apology from said waitress. Won’t be returning again.

Das ist nun der dritte Irish Pup in Steglitz den wir ausprobieren. Die Einrichtung ist knuffig, der Jugendstilbarbackground animiert zum Trinken und bei gutem Wetter kann man auch draussen sitzen. Das Essen ist lecker und bei den Whiskies lädt die Auswahl zum nächsten Besuch ein. Erfreulich ist das gut gemischte Puplikum. Besonders schön wäre allerdings, wenn die Herrentoiletten etwas öfters kontrolliert werden. Dann klappt es auch mit dem Geruch.

Beautiful decor with a 90's vibe. Soft light and excellent choice of 90's music. They've got a jukebox but I didn't find out if it works. Also perfect for a group. I went with 6 other friends and it was enough room for us all. Oh yeah they are actually the cheapest beer I've gotten in Berlin at €2.80. Great staff too. The lady at the counter was super sweet.

Typischer Irish Pub mit uriger Atmosphäre, allerdings seit langem renovierungsbedürftigen Toiletten. Tür zum Raucherraum undicht, so dass alle etwas vom Rauch haben. Wenn gut besucht, dann sehr laut, aber insgesamt gemütlich. Das Essen Glückssache, mal sehr gut, mal gar nicht. Ich war dort über ein Jahrzehnt mehrere Dutzend Mal im Jahr zu Gast, sei es zum Pubquiz, zum Kartenspielen oder einfach auf ein Getränk. So etwas nennt man wohl Stammgast. Anfangs waren sämtliche Angestellte stets sehr freundlich und auf Zack; das hat sich in der Zwischenzeit geändert und öfter kommt auch mal eine gute Stunde niemand am Tisch vorbei. Seit einiger Zeit gibt es dort einen Angestellten mittleren Alters, der sich gleich zu Beginn mehrmals so unfreundlich verhalten hat, dass ich es angesprochen habe. Seither war sein Verhalten mir gegenüber wie das der anderen Mitarbeiter auch in Ordnung. Allerdings haben mir zwischenzeitlich Freunde erzählt, dass er ihnen negativ aufgefallen sei. Bei meinem letzten Besuch hatte ich wie seit vielen Jahren den immer gleichen Tisch zum Kartenspielen reserviert. Das ist insofern relevant, als es nur wenige Tische gibt, an denen Stühle mit Rückenlehnen stehen. Sonst sind es überwiegend höhere Tische mit Hockern. Als ich ankam, war der Tisch besetzt, also wandte ich mich fragend an besagten Kellner. Ohne jegliche Erklärung oder gar Entschuldigung wies er auf einen der Tische mit Hockern und sagte, er habe diesen heute für uns vorgesehen. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass das problematisch sei, weil einige aus unserer Runde Rückenlehnen bräuchten, und die Frage, ob wir nicht einen anderen Tisch mit Stühlen bekommen könnten, antwortete er, so sei es nun einmal, und ließ mich stehen. Natürlich kann es vorkommen, dass ein Tisch einmal anders genutzt werden muss, als geplant. Denn er war, das habe ich selbst gesehen, im Reservierungsbuch für mich eingetragen. Meine Telefonnummer ist dort im Pub bekannt, man hätte mich also vorher informieren können. Oder man hätte einfach bei meinem Eintreffen freundlich darauf hinweisen können, dass eine Ausnahme erforderlich sei. In den wenigen Fällen, in denen das im Laufe der Jahre vorkam, wurden dann andere Tische zusammengeschoben und selbstverständlich war das weder für uns noch für einen anderen Mitarbeiter je ein Problem. Als meine Mitspieler ankamen, waren sie mit dem angebotenen Tisch nicht zufrieden und haben, wie bereits einige Male zuvor UND nach Rücksprache mit einer anderen Bedienung, die gerade vorbeilief, zwei - natürlich freie und nicht reservierte - Tische zusammengeschoben, an denen wir dann Platz nahmen. Kurz darauf ging besagter Kellner am Tisch vorbei und schnauzte uns im Vorbeigehen an, wir hätten zu fragen, bevor wir Tische verstellen. Ich habe Verständnis, wenn jemand mal einen schlechten Tag hat. Ein solches fortgesetztes Verhalten gegenüber Gästen finde ich aber unakzeptabel. In einer Gaststätte möchte ich wenigstens mit dem allgemein üblichen Anstand und Respekt behandelt werden und nicht als lästiges Übel. Solange man im Finnegan's so mit Gästen umgeht wie hier seitens dieses Mitarbeiters leider wiederholt erlebt, werde ich das Lokal ab sofort meiden.

Tolle Kneipe mit leckeren Sorten Bier. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber geschmacklich topp. Hier möchte ich gerne wieder hin. Sehr urig und für mich auch gemütlich. Anmerkung: Bin eigentlich kein Kneipengänger...

This places has such an amazing vybe would definitely recommend. The staff super interactive and friendly. The food was good (I recommend Finnegan's famous sandwiches ), drinks were good (water was free and there was ice!). The atmosphere was great and the decor gave something interesting to look at. It was definitely a bit loud but that's what's to be expected from a pub. 🙌

This is by far the best bar I visited in Berlin. I was there with my friends to watch UEFA Champions league final. Great atmosphere, great stuff, super tasty food for reasonable prices and of course super bier!!! At the and we tipped the barmen and he gave us shots in return!! All-round great place, great place for watching football or just spending your night with friends.

In einer größeren Gruppe ohne Reservierung gekommen, wirklich unkompliziert wurden fluchs Tische zusammengestellt und wir herzlich willkommen geheißen. Der Service war den ganzen Abend sehr fix und freundlich, obwohl in einer größeren Gruppe ja immer und ständig einzelne Bestellungen nachkleckern. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend! PS: Das Essen kann ich leider nicht beurteilen.
