This is my first time in this hotel and I'm pretty sure I'll be coming to this one whenever I am in Wuppertal! Indeed a very very good hotel with extremely friendly personnel and service. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with all the basic amenities. Regular service keeps it that way. The hotel has its own huge parking lot of over 9 levels for a nominal charge. The hotel is right at the city centre close to the main train station and the city market square with connections to everywhere. The breakfast is also good and has the typical European stuff with some extras that can be ordered separately for a cost. There's a pretty large seating space in the hotel lobby which also has a bar. Highly recommended.

We loved the location of this hotel and the fact that they provided us a citycard which allows you to use public transport in the large region around Wuppertal. We even used it for our day trip to Dusseldorf. Most staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! We can also recommend ordering a lunch box for 12 EUR per person, but ask to allow you to fill it yourself from the buffet if possible. We enjoyed the comfort plus room. We had booked 2 nights via booking.com and then wanted to add 1 additional night and stay in the same room. The pricing for the extra night was not transparent though. We had agreed to 120 EUR including tax, but then later an additional 10 EUR city tax was added (from our perspective also tax). We finally received 3 invoices for this 1 additional night (1 of 120, 1 of 132 and 1 of 142 EUR!).

Excellent location, very friendly staff, room is basic but clean, it is very kindely that fresh water and fruit are completary.Very good price performance.

Very poor breakfast, small and cramped room, no large towel in the bathroom, very inconvenient and tight entrance to the hotel car park, no possibility to order dinner in the evening, mineral water in the room was promoted as "free of charge" and this time it was included in the bill ... and in addition, during the 4 nights we had water only 2 times (2 bottles), while the bill (included in the price of accommodation) included 4 bottles. I stayed 4 nights and paid for 4 bottles of water but only got 2 bottles (in the first and last night) ... I expect to get my money back for 2 bottles of water (price 8.5 Eur/1 bottle) ... As the hotel is located right next to the train/bus station, the noise in the room is noticeable until midnight. I do not recommend this hotel for peoples!

Overall not that bad, good location and basic rooms. Although, I do find it unacceptable that if you stay multiple days they only clean your room if you specifically request it, and even if you do, you don't get a fresh bottle of water and cups the second night. I understand you need to save money, but this is ridiculous

Unfortunately, I couldn't close my eyes: it was loud (I could hear the buses and cars on the street) and the curtains weren't opaque, so the street lights shone into the room. This was in stark contrast to the room's advertising ("soundproof") and the actually very pleasant overall impression of the hotel.

Hotel is very clean and rooms are quite basic but pleasant. Bathroom was clearly brand new and exceptionally clean. The only minor fault was that there was a questionable stain on one of the room walls...

Not having a receptionist and letting the guests self check in is fine by me, but not as an only option at this price. And something that i never experienced over hundreds of stays in hotels of all categories is the fact that there were no towels in my room! As I was in a hurry and already undressed when I realized this and there was no phone in the room (and probably no receptionist or actual person to help anyway) there was nothing to be done about this. this is unacceptable and honestly a reason never to visit a hotel of your chain again if i can possibly avoid it.

It was a good place with all basic features. It was clean with nice staffs. The main important thing for me was closure to central Station. Also the breakfast was good.

Rooms are small, but very nice and comfortable. A lot of hotel processes are automated and self service (check-in/out). For me that's convenient and efficient. Amazing location across from the main station.

Stay was nice. Room clean and big enough. Bed okay, TV nice but not loud enough ( was not changable) free water bottle appreciated. Location perfect for short stays. Railway 50 m apart.

It's a very good hotel. We stay there every two week. Rooms for improvement: Turkish sauna is not working. During one of the stays hot water didn't work, but we've got a discusount.

Great central location. The free public transport ticket is a great bonus. Beds could be a bit more comfortable, but overall a nice stay.

Staying here until Sept 1st. The room is small (which is expected in Germany) but the service has been great. The breakfast is better than I thought it would be, with sausages, bacon and eggs, but the beds aren't overly comfortable. The construction in the area makes it necessary to go in and out through the parking garage, but I've noticed no major noise. Decent hotel in the middle of everything.

I liked my stay there for two weeks. The breakfast was great, lots of options to choose from. I really liked the reception of a particular waitress, Sweeta Contractor (the Indian lady). She was swift to respond to our needs and always smiling.

Besides the absent swimming pool which was a minus for me, it is a lovely place. The staff were nice and a special hats off to Sweeta Contractor, one of the staff with great human relations and customer care. I really loved the ticket for the city transport. I used it for the Sky train and the speed train. Really lovely

All-in-all, it was a good hotel, but there were some points for improvement. First up, the room was really nice, bed was soft and big enough, although the pillows were a bit flat. The air conditioning was not very strong, but in the end it did it's job and kept the temperature at a bearable level in the room. I traveled with my dog and there was plenty of space to create a corner for her as well. The breakfast was definitely one of the best ones I've already had in a hotel, but the dinner options were not it. There was not a lot of choice and the taste was also below par. On the second night, I booked somewhere else to have dinner. Despite dogs being allowed in the hotel, it was not very dog friendly. The host at the reception was not very welcoming of my puppy and I got the feeling he would rather not have her there. She was not allowed in the restaurant, which on one hand I understand for hygienic purposes, but as a dog-friendly hotel, you should at least have an area where guests can have breakfast/dinner with their pooches by their side, even if it was only a terrace outside the restaurant. Luckily my dog is pretty good with staying alone in the room whilst I went down for breakfast and dinner, but I can imagine not every dog is like that.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to do an early check-in very easily. Room was very comfortable and well presented. Despite the bus terminal next door it was very quiet. The dinner and drinks were of good quality and very reasonable price. The overall quality was what you expect normally to pay a lot more for!

Hi, my room had a window that couldn't be closed because of defect. This led to a constant stream of wind trough my room. I mentioned this to the reception but nothing was fixed. Further, after my room was made up by the cleaning personnel, one of my shirts went missing. When I pointed this out during check-out, I was told that I will be informed in the case a shirt is found. This behaviour is not acceptable, because my personal damage seemed to be not of interest, so no efforts were taken to support me in this situation. This was the last time, I have booked your hotel.

I've been coming here for 11 years. The hotel has been freshened up recently and is much improved. The area around the hotel is also rebuilt and attractive. Access is a little tricky. The car park entrances and exits are designed for Gynecologists.

I stayed at Fleming Express for one night from 24th-25th of July. This is and was the worst customer experience I have ever had. When we arrived we were instructed to pay for one of our rooms and the other in the morning. Fast forward to the morning we were accused of not paying for either of the rooms despite showing our bank statement of the payment the night before. We was then told we must write our bank details on a piece of paper that on the back at other people’s bank details on, completely against GDPR. They have now used these bank details to make charges to our account multiple times a day despite us calling every day for the last 4 days. When I called today about the repetitive situation the manager hung up the phone during my conversation. I hope to not have to take legal action but the staff seem completely incompetent while I am left short of money.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. Some details can still improve the stay. The lack of a small refrigerator was a minus. Also at breakfast only 1 coffee machine and no chilled fruit juice. For the rest top.

Amazing breakfast, clean rooms, keep the curtains drawn because the room will heat up like a sauna if you don't. Beds are a bit stiff, but if you like that then they'll be perfect. Super nice staff.

Business Trip for IDS Germany, The The hotel is located 2 min from the train and very comfortable for a big group , good price for the days of the show compared to koln . The restaurant service is very good . The room service is very bad . Wrong towels, water only when you arrive . And slow respond time . Cleaning every Second day . Breakfast is good

I marked my stay a four star, although it suppose to be lower. The hotel has a grand location opposite to the old town, close to the schewebahn (suspended tram), rooms are well designed, good breakfast offer and very friendly & professional staff. So what is wrong? The room assigned the AC did not work, bathroom amenities like shampoo bottle holder & tissue box are both empty and lastly, when you book and have your car in the underground car park, you room is allocated in the wing that is far away, that one with luggage has to pass the corridors, over steps to the reception area and walking to the elevator lobby going up the guest floor, where as they have rooms direct above the car park. I asked why? No clear explanation given when asked and this does not make any sense. The hotel only provide a large luggage trolley and now these days most of hotels provide airport airport trolleys, so handy and so convenient.

Long wait at reception. No apologies. Don’t really care attitude. Funny smell in bathroom, but clean. Business travelers beware: there are not enough irons available, they probably only have 3. So don’t come here if you need to iron your shirt. Convenient location next to train station.

The hotel is well positioned in relation to the train/bus stations. The breakfast was nice and my room was clean and quite large; there was tea and coffee facilities, a safe, a hairdryer and plenty of space for clothes. The hotel has a policy of only cleaning the room every other day, although you can take a card to reception to express your wish to have your towels changed every day, for example. I checked in very late and left early in the morning, and did not actually see the card. Given that this is still an unusual practice, it would be good to emphasise it during the check-in process and ensure that if the room is only cleaned every other day, then there is coffee for two days, that the staff knows where to find it if asked for it (the person at reception was not able to find coffee when I asked for more) and that the shower supplies are sufficient (there was barely any shampoo left on day 1 and definitely none on day 2 in my shower). Another oddity was that it was not possible to use the stairs to go up to the rooms, unless somebody from the hotel could open the door for you. In this day and age, when exercise is highly recommended, and electricity at a premium, having to take a lift for no reason seems quite counter-intuitive. So in summary, pleasant and comfortable but could do with sorting out a few things.

This is a good hotel in every way: nice rooms, friendly staff, good location next to train- and busstation and shops. The lobby looks really inviting. We even spent some time in one of the meeting rooms, looking through the collection of Taschen art books on the shelves. We were pleasantly surprised by the free tickets to the public transport, they were included in the hotel booking.

Very clean, hygienic Environment with polite and caring workers especially the Indian lady. Your breakfast meals and setting is topnotch with the right balance diet. Will definitely love to lodge there whenever am in Germany.

Convenient location to train station. Self check in east though a staff member was on hand to help as well. Stayed in a comfort plus room - good size, comfortable bed and clean. Loved the Malin & Goetz toiletries! Good selection of food at breakfast. All staff very friendly and helpful. Appreciated the later checkout.

The hotel is in great position. Very close to the city center, just next to the railway and bus station. It has direct entry from the hotel to the both stations. Hotel gives you a free card and you can use any transport for the whole day. Hotel is super clean, you have free use of fitness center. Free and good internet. Everything is excellent.
