The castle grounds and the structures are pretty. Nothing spectacular but i felt it was very pretty place to sit and relax in the midst of nature. The castle itself was closed and the cafe as well so nothing much can be explored inside. I would suggest to visit it with an eye on the opening times of you wish to see more. Nice add on place when you are around Wuppertal.

I was here for Weihnachtsmarkt. It was fabulous. There was an abundance of stands selling food, drink, and merchandise. Even more importantly, there was an abundance of friendly people. There was a small admission fee, but I can't remember exactly how much.

The Christmas event seemed great once I saw it, but after a closer look, I've made a bad experience. Firstly, parking was horrific. Understandable there was a parking lot available but it was very tiny, which lead up to no pariking space available at all and the vehicles had to park themselves off, each other. Right next to the small parking lot, was a huge empty field available. Which could've been used as a proper parking lot instead. One of the entrance personal asked me straightaway to pay for the entrance harshly, even though I was a seller and had free entrance. After having them to show proof and entering successfully, I would've enjoyed at least a small map, with locations where all vendors are listed. I've looked around after some time and when I explored one stand from a vendor but didn't wanna purchase anything (just look what things they offered), I've been immediately shouted to move away from "their" place. I really appreciate that there are at least few attractions available (also for children) but the experience with the intern organization really destroyed the christmas mood for me there.

Very nice Restaurant in an old castle from 870. Great food and ambiance!

Always a pleasure to visit this place.The perfect location to recharge your batteries and enjoy the quiet. The restaurant has a nice terrace, so you can sit the sun. Behind there is a lake.

This place was beautifal but i had expected more of it

Lovely and quiet

It is not the prettiest/nicest Schloss in the region, but it is worth a visit. Went for the Weihnachtsmarkt, a special Christmas Market without industrialized offerings, and that gives it his own character.

Good for a detour and short break or walk

The place is very nice, the Schloss area is beautifully organized. There are some sculptures made by a local artist (I'm guessing that because there is a shop in one of the buildings). In summer it must be truly beautiful :) 4 stars only because it's a bit deserted on a Sunday in winter time. There is a restaurant there, but it is closed in winter time, which is a pity.

Beautiful place with sitting areas, green lawn... Unfortunately no open cafés at the moment I was there.

A definite highlight in the Christmas period for their wonderful Christmas markets.
