Great hotel, with clean rooms and perfect location. Negatives: Getting into the parking is a little tight so just be careful. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired, typical cold buffet, no hot breakfast here.

Clean, comfortable, very good basic breakfast, new facilities - all for a very good price 👌 Only for the team in the morning I wish more staff. Looking after réception and breakfast is too much. Possibly a sick colleague and hopefully not standard for them to work with. Very friendly and helpful!

When I came in, the young man was very polite and explicit about the hotel. I would give 5 stars, but today I went to the reception to ask a question, the young girl was rude and did not answer my question. She started to ask me questions. Poor communication skills. Did not listen to the customer. Then she blocked my key do not open the door to my room. It was 11:30 am. Chek out is 12. Thank God my friend was in the room. Otherwise, I would have to come back to the reception. This is very vicious.

This is a practical, business hotel, with standard bedrooms. I stayed here twice. It's only 800 meters from the Wuppertal main station. It provides German-style breakfast. I came here the second time without any reservation. The staff gave me a room, looking at their database. It was simple and fast.

Good hotel with very good breakfast choices. An hour from Düsseldorf on the train. Less than a 5 min walk from the train station

Good Hotel at a great location. Walkable distance from Hauptbahnhof and close to Schwebebahn. Rooms are clean. Breakfast spreads could have been more but for the price it is ok.

Rooms are looking good, they are clean, big bed, big enough TV, mostly stable WiFi (but not so fast), kettle included in room, no fridge. Very good location, near to multiple restaurants, kebabs, you will find something to eat. If you keep in mind this is 3 star hotel you will be more then happy to stay here.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room is properly clean ⭐️ with daily house keeping. Room is Quiet⭐️ it is standard but spacious. Bed is comfortable. me and my partner with our 1 year old baby we are all fit. well there is one side that is too soft or maybe broken from the bed but we found a solution after. And we all sleep like a baby. Room have iron, hair dryer, safety box, hanging clothes, kettle plus tea and coffee. But i wish they THEY SHOULD PROVIDE A BOTTLE OF WATER ❗️because we are so thirsty that time and we need to go out again to buy a water. well no mini fridge but still not a problem as the room is cold enough from aircon for a drinks. What i really like there is i can wash my baby while sitting on their big sink. just put a wipes under so she wont get slide. ⭐️ i am also impress with their coffee and tea room service in afternoon ⭐️ staff are hospitable with a 😊⭐️ check out is 12 noon ⭐️ and when you want to check out late then its €10 per hour after 12 noon. Breakfast is the same every day but its fine with fresh pancakes ⭐️ and many more options (hot coffees, tea, warm milk, chocomilk, fresh yoghurt, fruits, juice) but i hope next time they make scrambled egg too.❗️ spacious lounge area/waiting area⭐️ Close to everything ⭐️ Restaurants, shopping malls ⭐️ Hanging train station and parking lot building is just in front of the building ⭐️ but the hotel have a parking area itself. But we prefer the parking infront with €10 per day but if you park after 8pm and the gate is close it cost €15 per day. All in all its worth the price. well i would definitely choose this again when i will get a short vacation visit to my grandparents. Hope there service will stay the same and maybe more improve.

Obviously the room had been smoked in and wasn’t properly cleaned. Hotel staff wasn’t helpful about this (no discount, no room change). Also the room had a constant low humming noise that could not be turned off. Didn’t have anything to do with the room air con unit. Probably an electrical transformer or central a/c unit nearby. Avoid room 103 and the hotel. There are better options in town.

The attention is terrible, we clearly booked a double room with 1 big double bed and they had overboooked the hotel. We were not even the only ones, another couple had the same issue at the same time and they also didn't solve it. Why do you show the room as available when they're clearly not? And the cherry on top is that as "compensation" they offered us 2 coca colas, I thought this was the Holiday Inn, not some random pension. Don't make the same error we did, book somewhere else. Edit: I have the booking confirmation where it said explicitly the kind of room I requested (which I showed at the front desk), so their answer just makes the whole thing even worse.

The guy from reserve service just catastrophic 🤦‍♀️ we came with a group of people (we booked it before) and somehow meneger of Holiday Inn Express decided to settle in two-person room - four people!! Can you imagine that? one Quinn size bed for four people . This guy from reception instead of trying to solve this problem decided behave himself so rudely. I'm can't recommend this hotel. Btw there's no fridge in the room Nobody expected such a situation in so good level hotel as Holiday Inn

Location of the hotel was great. Near the metro and also lots of shopping close by. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent. We parked in the parking garage across the street. It was only 9 Euro for the night. Make sure you park after midnight or else you will be charged the time prior to midnight as well.

I am a IHG Diamond member so I am familiar with many IHG hotels. Lets start with the positives: - The hotel is new and the rooms still look fresh - the hotel is centrally located My main issue is with the service of the reception and bar. I stayed several times in this hotel, so here are a few of my bad experiences: - The staff is often unfriendly - I had booked for 2 people and therefore asked if I could have a second key card for my partner. It required a 2 minute argument before they finally issued the second key-card. - I parked my car in the hotel. When I wanted to leave with the car to come back later, they said the space would probably be gone when I come back later. They said I would still have to pay for parking in the afternoon. When I came back, there was indeed no free parking spot available any more. To their credit, when I explained the situation at check.out they dropped the cost for parking in the afternoon. However, there was no apology for the hassle. - I chose a Jack Daniels with coke as welcome drink. They tried to mix it with 1.5cl Whiskey. I mentioned that a standard longdrink has 4 to 6cl. He said it is normal to do it with 2cl. Again I had to argue in order to get a normal drink. Another guest who overheard the discussion also shook his head and told the bar tender that 2cl in a longdrink is not normal. - When I checked out, they wanted to charge me for the "free" welcome drink. Again it required a discussion before they dropped it. - I experienced internet disruptions, which of course can happen. However, when I reported it to the reception lady, she answered in an annoyed tone that she is aware. I asked if she has an idea when it would work again, and she answered in a snappy way that she she has no idea. No apologies, no indication of how long this could take. - They are generally unaware of the IHG loyalty program. I always have to request the membership benefits (room upgrades are out of question anyways as they only have Standard rooms" in the entire hotel) - Quality of the breakfast: Of course this is a Holiday Inn, so my expectations are not high. However, the quality is worse than most other Holiday Inns. Why do I still go to this hotel? Wuppertal does not have good hotels. This one at least looks clean and being an IHG member I collect loyalty points. However, this is the worst IHG hotel I stayed with so far. My recommendations to their management: - Fire your current staff members. Hire staff that truly enjoy's working with people - Be accommodating to guest requests. Dont be stingy, it costs you almost nothing to make your guests happy - train your staff on the loyalty program so your guests don't have to argue about the standard benefits of IHG membership levels

This was my first time in Wuppertal, and I opted for this hotel since I am a Holiday Inn Express customer. Rooms are usually acceptable in terms of value for money. This time it wasn’t the case. The bathroom was a nightmare, the showerhead position (check the photo!) was just insane, and it was impossible to take a shower without inundating the floor. The kettle was there, but no fridge. The breakfast was poor and low profile in terms of ingredients quality. The only warm plate was a collection of boiled eggs. The cold cuts looked ugly, and 100% mass production, the choice of juice was basic. On top of that, the pancake machine was not running correctly. The good news is that the place is a few meters from the station. So far, everything is OKish considering the nature of the trip and the Hotel quality. The reception staff makes me not return to this place again. Not friendly and not helpful. I called them because I lost my laptop charger and they didn’t want to contact the cleaning service. After four days, I am still waiting for an update.

+ Everything is really clean, the beds are great. Location is very good Breakfast is ok. - Parking garage can not be reserved, so when you leave, you do not know if it will still be available when you return. The entrance to the garrage is narrow.

I generally stay at Marriott/Hilton properties due to loyalty programs, but neither had hotels in Wuppertal. I figured it couldn't hurt to check out a Holiday Inn for a night, and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The location is fantastic and is within easy walking distance of most major attractions (Christmas market!!), railway station, and the famous suspended metro. Check-in was effortless, and I was given a room on the top floor with a view of the Schwebebahn (upon request). The room is a bit small but absolutely perfect for a solo traveler. I found the bed to be quite comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft linens. Climate control worked pretty well, and I appreciated that the window opened for extra ventilation. The room is nicely decorated and seems to have been renovated within the past couple of years. I signed up for IHG's loyalty program when booking and was offered a complimentary 2pm late checkout upon arrival – this is something I'm rarely offered as a Marriott Gold Elite... Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wuppertal – IHG seems to be doing a really fantastic job here. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The hotel was great. Very nice and clean rooms. However, the entrance to the parking garage was very very tight. If you have a big car you might have issues with the entrance.

Clean and nice rooms, quick check-in and good service. Garage has easy access and very wide parking spaces, so you don't have to worry about people hitting your car with their doors. Breakfast is somewhat limited in variety, but still ok. 1- star deduction for that.

With view at the Schwebebahn, close to the Hbf and next to the city centre, the Holiday Inn Express at Wuppertal is a great place to enjoy the hospitality with high standards and great rooms for a getaway with friends and loved ones!!!

Front desk service was slow and very unprofessional. They barely speak/understand english. My room was prepaid by a third party but still required my credit card as a warranty, I accepted in case of extras but then I got the room double charged to myself and to my company. I will certainly check other options before repeating Holiday Inn express wuppertal in the future.

The breakfast was very good. The room was quiet. The employees were very polite and helpful. The location was great, near the main train station and S-Bahn. 50 m away was a shopping area.

The rooms are super, they include amenities including blow dryer, iron and ironing board, the personnel is polite and very friendly, and it's just next to the Wuppertal central station. Breakfast doesn't leave you wanting with an adequate amount of choices, not very wide but not very narrow too so I'd say, Highly recommended for a pleasant stay in Wuppertal

Excellent hotel. New and at our check in still in the soft opening stage. Rooms are well fitted out. Good bed and bathroom. Located adjacent to the city centre great for shopping. Nice breakfast buffet served in the morning. Staff are all nice, professional and helpful. Great free WiFi and offers underground parking at fee.

There's no real point staying in Wuppertal (unless you like upside down train systems and interbellum industrial architecture (which are actually quite good reasons to visit...)) but if you have to, then stay at this place. It's new, it's clean, everything works and the staff is great. Basement parking, good breakfast and fast WiFi. What else do you want? [stayed here multiple times in 2020/21]

👍👍 Surprisingly, very good food. We had the spare ribbs and the filet with some side orders. Both meals were excellent. We both want to return here if possible. The only downside was that it took some time to get the bill. Normally, this is no issue after a good large meal, but we were in a bit of a hu...
