The City Hotel Meesenburg is close to the city center. It is affordable, located within a few blocks to the church; whose bells ring on a regular basis. That was a treat which I enjoyed from the hotel rooftop. The front room provided me with views of daily life transactions. The walls were not well insulated against noises from other guests. Two entrances and no elevator made it a strain for my elderly parent. It was a unique experience from a westerners' point of view.

Worse place I have ever stayed. The pictures are not showing the reality and there is no parking. - They announced it as having free parking, but It's free to park on the street. - You need to go through a bar to enter the rooms and it's extremely noisy at night. - I booked 3 rooms, and one room did not have sink in the bathroom. - There was no toiled paper. - The "queen size" bed was not even 140cm - The wifi disconnected all the time and when it was connect it was so slow that could not be used. - The "non-smoking" room smelled cigarettes. Long story short: A horror story.

We stayed here for two nights. Overall the visit was okay. The room was clean but a bit narrow. The breakfast was as expected considering the price. The biggest issue we had were the toilets on the corridor without soap (some on them even without a sink)

Central, good location by the Main and good breakfast included. The room can be a little cold but there are extra duvets available.

That was the biggest letdown, a bed (1.40) for 2 people, unfortunately there was no more space in this room, there was no seating. The shower was only for very narrow people. The breakfast....better you go somewhere else. The eggs were all broken, the coffee was cold, the rolls were so rubbery (there was nothing else, no bread or crispbread) the sausage and cheese were apparently laid out very early, you could see it. So, you can get better for the money

The room I had was probably the worst hotel room I have been in, you don't get your own toilet but I just wanted a place to sleep so it worked out fine.

Breakfast has limited options - bread with cheese, meat, butter. Juice, jogurt, musli, eggs and coffee. Rooms are big, old fashioned. Fine for overnight

Please pick some other hotel if possible. I can't give a lower rating, practically it deserves zero 🌟. I can't believe such hotels also exists in Germany with such high price.

Avoid avoid avoid far better for similar price or slightly more nearby. Rooms were tired and scruffy. My room had mould on the wall, no separate toilet. Positive was it was central but taking this into account I would have walked for a few more minutes for better accommodation.
