Jin Mao Tower is the 3rd tallest building in Shanghai. The building is located in the Pudong New area, where you can find it on the map as well. It is almost 1,380 feet tall. At the ground, floor tickets are sold. Every 30 minutes, 15 visitors are allowed to enter. So mind this time when you are going to schedule your daily trip. The elevator that reaches the top of this building is super fast (nearly 30 ft/s). It took us less than a minute to reach to 88th sightseeing floor from the ground floor. There is a service that is called: "wander in the cloud". That means that visitors can walk along a 60-meter-long and 1.2-meter-wide glass skywalk without rails. The weather was so polluted as you can see from the photo that I sent. So, the view was not clear. But it is really worth visiting this building.

Really nice place in the center of the financial district east side of the river in Shanghai. Pretty tall bldg, 85 floors w/ observation deck. But having said that nxt door thete is a 120 storey bldg, the Shanghai Tower. Grand Hyatt is located in Jin Mao tower, from 54th floor to 83rd. Nice hotel, views from the high floor rooms r spectacular.

Walking around the area is enough to get a good feel of the size of these man made structures. Instead of going up to any of the observation decks, consider spending the money to eat in a restaurant on a high floor. This area is worth a visit. Can arrive by subway or taxi. Clear days are best, but its also awesome to see the tower headed into a low cloud.

Amazing views from the top of this 88-storey tower at 88 Century Avenue! Situated in Shanghai's new commercial district in "Pudong", this is still one of the world's tallest buildings and looks across to several of Shanghai's other skyscrapers.

The tower itself and the view is nice. I have tried Skywalk experience, my third skywalk. Unfortunately, i was very disappointed about the service. Zero English and very unfriendly to foreigners (was in a Chinese group). It is very commercial, they care more about quantity than quality. However, you can take amazing pictures with spectacular views, which you can get in digital form for not too high price.

The Jin Mao Tower, situated in the heart of Shanghai's Lujiazui financial district, is a masterful blend of architectural prowess and functional elegance. Soaring to a height of 421 meters, this skyscraper commands attention with its distinctive tiered design, reminiscent of ancient Chinese pagodas, yet infused with a modern aesthetic. Upon entering the tower, visitors are greeted by a grand atrium that spans several floors, adorned with intricate details and luxurious materials. The tower's interior seamlessly combines traditional Chinese design elements with contemporary touches, creating a sophisticated ambiance. Riding the express elevators to the observation deck on the 88th floor is a thrilling experience, offering panoramic views of the sprawling cityscape, the Huangpu River, and the neighboring skyscrapers. The architectural ingenuity is evident in the tower's structural design, incorporating advanced engineering to withstand earthquakes and typhoons common to the region. One of the Jin Mao Tower's unique features is its multi-functional nature. Housing a luxury hotel, offices, and observation decks, it serves as a microcosm of urban living, making it a symbol of Shanghai's economic and cultural dynamism. The tower's integration of sustainable practices further underscores its commitment to environmental responsibility. In summary, the Jin Mao Tower is more than a towering structure; it's a testament to architectural innovation, cultural fusion, and urban functionality. Its enduring appeal lies not only in its height but in its ability to seamlessly integrate tradition and modernity in the vibrant tapestry of Shanghai's skyline.

This iconic skyscraper is a true gem in the city's skyline, and I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary. First and foremost, the views from the top are simply breathtaking. As you ascend to the observation deck, you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of Shanghai's sprawling metropolis. The sheer scale and density of the cityscape are mesmerizing, especially when viewed from such a remarkable height. The modern skyscrapers, historical landmarks, and the meandering Huangpu River create a mesmerizing tapestry that truly showcases Shanghai's vibrant energy. The architecture of the Jin Mao Tower itself is a masterpiece. The design seamlessly combines elements of traditional Chinese culture with contemporary aesthetics. Overall, the Jin Mao Tower is a must-see attraction in Shanghai. Whether you're a fan of architecture, a lover of impressive views, or simply looking to experience the city from a different perspective, this tower will not disappoint. I highly recommend allocating some time to explore this architectural marvel and soak in the awe-inspiring vistas it offers.

(Translated by Google) A tower hotel in the Lujiazui area. Hyatt had a lot of charm to know for the first time inside. From the 54th floor where the lobby is located, you can enjoy the urban view that has been fascinated by forgetting to check-in. The room is impressive with the huge Shanghai Tower facing the Dawn in front. Depending on the weather, there are times when fog is generated below and the ground cannot be seen. I was moved by the feeling of being on a cloud. The atrium in the center of the hotel is also a sight. It is close to shopping malls such as IFC and the Great Plaza, and there are many restaurants around. The area is beautifully lit up, so it is fun to take a walk at night ♪ It is recommended because it is a hotel in a very convenient location. The 3rd tallest tower in Shanghai. There is observation deck on 88 floor. Ticket price is 120 RMB for adult. Very quick elevator delivers you to the deck within several seconds. I assume that it could be some crowds during weekend. If you want to be closer to the sky, you can visit Shanghai Tower that is in 50 meters nearby.

(Translated by Google) It is an 88-story skyscraper located in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong District in Shanghai, China. It contains offices and the Shanghai Grand Hyatt Hotel. Until 2007 it was the tallest building in China, the fifth tallest in the world by roof height and the seventh by antenna height. For those who are curious about the figures of this colossus, it is worth collecting the data. It seems to me representative of what today's China wants to appear before the world: a great power that is capable of building the biggest and best, based on its own technological capabilities and taking its ancestral culture as a reference. That's why it's inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, like a stepped pagoda, gently receding to create a rhythmic pattern as it rises. Like the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, the building's proportions revolve around the number 8, associated with prosperity in Chinese culture. I visited it at night in August 2006, and it was then the roof from which to contemplate the panoramic view of the city. Today the Jin Mao Tower has two giants that can take away its prominence, although I think their visit will continue to be very very interesting.

When it opened in 1998 Jin Mao Tower used to dominate the Pudong skyline together with the Oriental Pearl Tower. These days it is overshadowed by the significantly taller Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center. However, this should not deter you from visiting it. This stunning architectural masterpiece remains my second favorite observation deck in the city behind the one located at the top of Shanghai Tower. Unlike the neighbouring SWFC you can enjoy 360 degree views from the top and unlike the Oriental Pearl Tower there are usually no long queues to get in. The admission price is also more reasonable than at the other observation decks and in addition you get a dizzying view down the world’s tallest lobby.
