I’m a field technician with a little delay between appointments sometimes. I was driving from Closter to Westwood when I had an hour and a half to kill so I googled a local breakfast/diner close to me and this popped up. Soft jazz music playing on speaker as I walked up which was cool , many two-top tables inside and and a couple 4-tops. Place was clean and all the food looked great. I had the #1 mushroom, caramelized onion and cheddar omelette. Hands down best omelette I have ever eaten. Period . The flavor was excellent and even the home fries / potatoes were perfectly done. No need to add anything ( no salt/ pepper , ketchup , hot sauce .. nothing ! Was perfect: ) wish this was closer to my home but whenever I area I will be back. Nice job

In my twenty six years of living and eating out, this place makes it to the top ten. Top five. And if I lived in New Jersey, I'd come here repeatedly. The food is great, it has this homemade but refined taste. The ingredients are nicely paired and cooked really well, you can practically see the chef's skill in the omelete. They're also super friendly and, I'm a quiet eater, so I loved listening to the two of them banter. We came at a slow time, so they started playing billiards together. Adorable and it made the atmosphere relaxing and chill.

It's a very small cafe so be warned there could be a wait if you want to sit down. Maybe like two 4 top tables and 3 two top tables. So seating is very limited. We got here around 8:30 am so we got lucky but it soon filled up. Decor: The place is clean and quaint. It's not fancy but nicely decorated. Service: Not a waiter type of restaurant but I believe it's owned by a couple with the wife at the front and her husband who is a chef and known as Chef Todd in back cooking. They were very nice and both offered suggestions on what we should try and what they were awarded and known for. No complaints at all. Service was fantastic and friendly. Food: This place wowed me and I don't use that lightly. I'm not a picky eater but I'm not easily impressed either. My mother and my food was fantastic. The omelettes were so light and fluffy. The Home fries were thin almost like chips but more like a hybrid of chips and home fries. First time ever having something like that before. The bread was multi grain that was nicely toasted and has great flavor even without butter. You can taste the love and pride in the food. I haven't felt this way about an omelette ever in my life. EVER. My mother said her omelette was the best she ever had in her life. I have to agree. This place is legit. I don't give 5 stars easily but this place deserves it. Oh the best black coffee I've ever had as well. We will be back for sure and you should come too. This is for sure a restaurant destination place for breakfast at the very least. They have the holy trinity of great restaurants. Great food, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. Come here and thank me later. You're welcome Googlers and remember to follow me for more great places and hit that useful button.

Stopped here on our way back home, loved that it was so close to the highway. The owners are super nice and attentive! Their recommendations were just what we wanted. My boyfriend got the signature sandwich the hobo which did not disappoint and I got the an egg, tomato, spinach and cheese sandwich which was also super good. We also shared pancakes that tasted sweet and home-y. Definitely recommend and definitely will be going back!

What an absolute delight! From the employees to the food! The location is divided between two businesses and right next to the park which is super convenient for the summer time with their food options. I ordered the bacon, egg, & cheese and my son had the kids pancakes. Clearly it looked so good and we were starving that I forgot to the before pictures. The pancakes were so delicious that I was stealing them from my son. This place is definitely a recommendation!

The best french toast I've ever had! We ordered soup for today (chicken vegetables) & french toast, and hangry teaneck. Everything was perfectly delicious and staffs are super nice. I love their vibe. We had to order more dishes to go for Santorini wrap and tiramisu - I have no pictures because I was busy enjoying my food... We will definitely come back here frequently. Please try this hidden gem. You will never regret it.

My husband and I visited this cafe and was completely satisfied with the food and service. On our first visit we had the cheesesteak sub and it was delicious. So we came back the next day and ordered the mouth watering meatball sub. It was so delicious and when we come back to to New Jersey, we will definitely return their for our meals. The couple who owns this place are so sweet and adorable. The treated us as if they’ve known us for years. Please whenever you’re in New Jersey, go by and have a meal and conversation with them. You won’t regret the food or the kind hospitality they provide.

I was moving to the town over with my friends and family helping me out. We found this place on the way, and were welcomed to a friendly, and comedic duo. The food was amazing. It was much needed for all the work we had to do later that day. The soup and home fries had the slight kick I needed to clear my sinuses, while tasting delicious. I ordered a chicken sandwich with pesto, mozzarella and tomato. Having only the chicken grilled and bread toasted made it refreshing and filling! Definitely will make the effort to come back after I'm settled. Finally, to the person that left a review about their paper plates, I'm sorry you had miss out on this experience, you should bring your own plates :)

An incredible café with owners who clearly take a lot of pride in their work! I ordered the spinach, onion, mushroom, and cheddar cheese omelet and it was exceptional. Rich and creamy with a side of the chefs "best in the business" home fries. And I certainly agree with that assessment! I highly recommend this place!

I was in the area for work and googled some places nearby to grab lunch. I saw the Terrace Cafe had great ratings so I decided to give it a try. Something about the spicy chicken melt popped out instantly on the menu. Todd and Dina, the owners, said it was one of the most popular sandwiches on the menu. It was phenomenal! Everything on the sandwich creates a perfect balance! Probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a very long time, and I’m a huge foodie! I have to mention that Dina and Todd are extremely nice and welcoming people. You can clearly tell 2 minutes into a conversation with them that they truly enjoy what they do. Todd and Dina were excited and enthusiastic to explain to me all of todays specials, and it seems to change often which is a great indication that a chef enjoys changing it up and trying new things. This small business deserves to be praised and is a must try! I know you won’t be disappointed.

The cutest cafe with the tastiest omelettes. Dina and Todd run a two man operation and somehow still had the time to talk to us about crowd favorites and how our visit was.. luckily we’re 5 minutes away so we’ll definitely be stopping by to try more things! Enjoy this adorable photo I caught of them while in the middle of decorating 🥹

Amazing food! Great people. Great experience. We’re trying out different items every time we visit and never been disappointed. Today we had a fried flounder sandwich that was finger licking good!! We also tried their award-winning spicy chicken sandwich - also very delicious! You can never go wrong with their award-winning BLT sandwich either! Plenty of fresh food and special off-the-menu items to choose from. Highly recommend this place for any meal of the day.

Cute little spot with Absolutely delicious food! Super fresh ingredients and you could tell with every bite! We ordered the Terrace BLT, Spicy Chicken Melt, and the pancakes! The sandwiches were incredible with their own homemade mayo and everything! The pancakes are truly one of the best I've ever had. There's no need for syrup! That's how good it is! The owners are super nice and just a down to earth couple serving food with love! A must try! I can't wait to come back!

Great food in a cute and comfortable environment. Todd, "The Sandwich King" makes everything fresh and he takes such pride in his food. Everything served is prepared with love and absolutely mouth watering. You are always greeted with a smile and treated like family. Say hello to the magnificent duo that is Todd and Dina. You will definitely come back for more.

My wife and I were in Teaneck for a hair appointment, traveling from the Poconos (PA) for the day. After her hair appointment, we were looking for a great place to grab lunch and immediately noticed this gem nearby in Teaneck with great ratings and a nice variety of items on the menu! We stopped in and the owners were so friendly and accommodating, giving us a few different options and specials to choose from. The menu is perfect, just the right amount of choices. They even had a few choices for vegetarians. We ordered the baby arugula salad to share and they even made it on two plates for us! My wife had the 149 vegetarian that my wife said was great and I had the Mexican sandwich that was cooked perfectly and had a great balance of flavors. The coffee went well with the meal! This is a great place with great food and a nice atmosphere! Stop by if your local or even if you just happen to be in town, you won't be disappointed!

This small eatery has wonderful food and congenial hosts. I ate with two friends and we felt as though we were in Dina and Todd’s ( the owners) kitchen. I had the turkey and Brie sandwich with apricot preserves. Absolutely delicious! I would go every day for breakfast or lunch if I could. We even were given complimentary cookies for dessert. Try it. You I’ll like it.

Cute small cozy cafe, ran by some very friendly people. We were greeted right away & made feel welcomed. We each had a breakfast sandwich with a generous shared side of home fries. Their home fries were unlike any other, thinly sliced and well seasoned. Definitely recommend for a nice quick breakfast.

I don't normally leave reviews on places, but I just had such a good breakfast that I HAD to say something. I ordered for takeout, and when I walked in I was not expecting to see just one person making all the food; this makes the short amount of time that it takes to get your food and the quality of your food almost unbelievable. This place is a must try. The ambiance is warm and inviting and people working there are so friendly.

Incredible experience! Ordered the chicken salad, and it was the freshest I've ever had. The owners are super nice and welcoming. They care about their customers and their love for food shows. The cleanliness is immaculate in the dining area and the kitchen. I recommend this place to anyone passing through this area. I will definitely be back. If the owners are reading this, it was a pleasure getting to know both of you!

We came here for the first time this weekend, and the food was so good. Everybody there was so kind, and the quality of the food was amazing. We ordered an omelette, pancakes, and a sandwich, and everything was fresh and delicious. Our son doesn’t like pancakes that much, but here, he kept taking some off my plate. A lot of places, their food is either very greasy, or too dry, but here, it wasn’t too dry or too greasy, the food felt very clean. The chef seems very experienced, and we’ll definitely be coming back frequently.

Wow! This little mom and pop store it’s actually run by mom and pop, this dynamic duo make delicious food and truly show a lot of love and care about the food and costumers. If the paper plates and the plastic forks bother you don’t come here, but if you want good food in a clean environment this is the place for you. Will be coming back to try the full menu. Didn’t take pictures of the food, but it looked and tasted excellent.

Delicious and well-balanced flavors and textures, esp the cranberry & pecan salad. Ingredients were very fresh, and menu is decently flexible to how you want to have your sandwiches or salads. Home fries were some of the best I had at brunch places/diners, and on the crispier side. Omelette was amazing, moist and packed with the toppings. Most importantly a very homey and welcoming place and definitely coming again!

I was so happy to see the owners, Dina and Todd in Teaneck. Had great experiences when they were in Haworth and found out that they moved to Teaneck. The food still is so fresh and delicious! Great breakfast sandwiches on a French roll, sandwiches and awesome salads. Their crab cakes are so good as well! Todd( the chef) is amazing and you can see that he takes pride in what he does.

It is a cozy place with very good customer service. I wish I could show you the delicious sandwich I ate, but I reacted after I finished. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend them. Love it!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible catering services provided by Terrace Cafe. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was top-notch as well. In particular, the eggplant Parmesan was an absolute standout. It was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever had. The arugula salad was another highlight, with its fresh and delicious ingredients. Overall, I would highly recommend Terrace Cafe for any event. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality cuisine is truly unparalleled. I can't wait to use them again in the future!

Excellent place! The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We can be a handful (family of 6) especially for small establishment but they were very accommodating and patient with us. They moved tables around so we could all sit together and made sure (multiple times) they had all of our orders correct.  The kids loved the food, they got pancakes and bacon eggs and cheese sandwiches and my husband and I got omelets that came with home fries which were incredible. You can't beat the service that they offer and we will definitely be coming back.

Great spot! Little hidden gem mom and pop type. The owner saw me waiting in line while the group in front was making up their minds, grabbed my order, cleared a table, watched him make the sandwich, and had it waiting for me before I even got to the register. Spicy chicken melt was delicious!

Very good food and service. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the atmosphere and lack luster decoration along with the paper plates and plastic utensils devalue the experience for me. Regardless, I highly recommend this place for their flavorful dishes and fresh ingredients. The host (wife of the chef) and the chef are enthusiastic , engaging and helpful. Enjoy!

Wow the food is so great! The service is so great as well. I wish I had a cafe to go like this in Philadelphia, my home town. Im really glad that the sign outside caught my eye, and we decided to stop in! When I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely drop by.

Brought my mom and niece to this cafe based on the high ratings. While seems to be a small and unassuming venue, the quality of the food was unbeatable. We had the BLT, Hangry Teaneck and Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches and they were all delicious! Niece said the BLT was the best she’s had in her life (high praise as she’s a picky eater). While we were there, chef was preparing pan fried salmon for a party. They smelt so good I wished we could have ordered.
