Finally a delight for people who love to explore authentic North Indian food. Totally authentic taste of kulcha, paneer tikka, naan. Nice ambience and good service from Mr Asok Das & team. Some might think that the price is on the higher side, I would say just taste the food and it will be justified. Today onwards I would say this is the best place if you are looking for a authentic North Indian dish. Recommended

⤵️ Updated Review for Amritsar Haveli Restaurant (visited on 30th August 2023) Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently revisited Amritsar Haveli, and I must say that my experience this time was nothing short of disappointing. I had initially given the restaurant a 3/5 rating, but my second visit has led me to reconsider my opinion. To begin with, the most concerning issue was the presence of houseflies in a fine dining establishment. This was a major hygiene concern and completely unacceptable for a restaurant that markets itself as a place for a quality dining experience. The dining table wasn't any better. It had unhygienic, sticky dining mats with food remnants on them. This not only ruined the ambiance but also raised questions about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. Another letdown was the absence of tawa bread, pulka, or roti due to some internal problem. For a Punjabi restaurant, not being able to serve staple items like these is a significant disappointment. The staff, I noticed, seemed tired and disengaged with their work. Their lack of enthusiasm was palpable and contributed to the overall negative atmosphere of the restaurant. The restroom was also in a dismal state, which is far from the standard one would expect from any dining establishment, let alone a fine dining one. All in all, this visit to Amritsar Haveli was the worst Punjabi restaurant experience I've had in recent times. The presence of houseflies, unhygienic conditions, food item unavailability, disinterested staff, and the sorry state of the restroom have led me to reduce my rating from 3/5 to 1/5. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works towards improving the overall dining experience for their customers. 5th August, 2023 Visit Review⤵️ ⭐⭐ ⭐ I recently dined at Amritsar Haveli, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant has its strengths and weaknesses that need attention. The ambiance was decent, and the Punjabi vegetarian menu seemed promising, at the initial onset. On the positive side, their Dal Makhani was delightful, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The Indian Breads were also a winner, perfectly cooked and complementing the main course. However, the hits were overshadowed by some misses. ⛔️The hygiene standards of the dishes being served definitely need improvement. The way food was presented left much to be desired, and this aspect needs immediate attention. ⛔️ ⛔️ The pre-prepared refrigerated Lassi was a huge disappointment, lacking freshness and flavor. ⛔️ The Soggy Masala Pappad and the hardened Missi Roti were also below par, taking away from the overall dining experience. While the food had its ups and downs, the staff's behavior and respect towards customers could use a significant improvement. ⛔️ Their attitude felt distant and could be more welcoming. ❌ Additionally, their practice of serving water in cheap, self-branded plastic bottles at an inflated price of 50Rs per bottle was questionable! These bottles should at the very least be clean and presentable before being placed on the table. ⁉️In conclusion, Amritsar Haveli has potential, but there's room for growth in several aspects. 📛The quality of dishes, especially the refrigerated items, needs attention. 🛑The staff's approach towards customers should be more customer-centric and warm. ❓Finally, the hygiene and presentation of dishes, as well as the practice of serving water, must be addressed for an overall improved dining experience.

The hotel is very much easy to access. There is plenty place for parking .it's on the second floor and easy to access even for wheelchair. It's a fully vegetarian restaurant. The ambiance is great just like a tipical Punjabi style. The food is good, most of it is Paneer. We ordered the Maharaja Thali and the food is enough for 3and the lassi that they give with that is too heavy and in a really big glass. The plate is 2 feet wide .Each time the Maharaja Thali comes out for serving they will ring a bell. The spoon and the plate is also interesting. Be there between 12.30 to 1 for lunch for taking photos or else the place will be flooded with people.

Wanted to try food here for a long time. We went for dinner and had soya chaap, aaloo paratha, and chole bhature. While the chaap and chole bhature were as expected (not something extraordinary taste wise), aaloo paratha was downright poor. There was hardly any filling. The service is fast and the ambience is good. They have plenty of seating. The prices are on a higher side. The car parking is huge in that new building.

Overhyped , I personally didn't like anything about this place not the food nor the service etc. We ordered Maharaja thali which was just ok, a small papad was missing in the thali. The server were confused about serving. My family insists to go again and try the Ala carte but I don't feel like going back. Overhyped, overpriced for casual outings.

The ambience and the vibe of the place is great. Suitable for family and friends get together. Food was avg , claiming to be pioneers of Punjabi food the taste was hit disappointing. Tried out their maharaja thali quantity was good I strongly suggest the team to work on the quality. The rotis were dry and hard looked like they were re heated. Some of the dry curries were bland (Goni and aloo sabji) Some of the dishes did stand out Recommended- daal makhani, Chana masala , lassi , makke ki roti Overall had an okay experience.

Overrated!! For atmosphere I can rate 4, as here the ambience and interior style is marvelous. Coming to the food, the taste is good and not worth the price. I recommend instead of this go for any Punjabi dhaba for the better taste and better price.

Visited here for a family lunch, wonderfully tasted and presented as well. We had the corn appetizer and Family thali option. It was good size for 3-4 members. Great addition to Vizag’s growing list of top class restaurants.

We ordered Schezwan fried rice, soya chaap, kulcha, lassi and veg soups. Lassi could have been better. Service is good. A little overpriced too. We paid around 2.7K for 5 people.

We 5 went for lunch. Ordered soya kofta, harabhara kabab n veg platter starter. They were decent. Main course : roti, makke ki roti ( bad ,soft ), dal makhani ( full of oil n not good), veg curry , palak (oily n bitter in taste ) , veg pulao (tasteless) , lassi. For the price you pay, quantity is very less. Further quality wise not acceptable in terms of price. Once in a while you may want but there are other better dhanas in vizag.

Loved the food and the ambience here...the dal makhani reminded me of the first time I had dal makhani in Chandigarh... The service is very good and you can look for Subrato for service and Devdutto for support!!

Ambience of this place is great with all furniture with royal look. Coming to food it was good but can't say delicious, and next the major disappoint for me was the Maharaja thaali. The name was giving more hype than the actual content of food present in it. I prefer the individual order rather than that thali.

  • 4/5 Harshith 10 months ago on Google
Food was tasty and items in the Maharaja thali was good…but got a fly in the fried rice…when questioned…it was replaced with another bowl of fried rice…Lassi and Chole were too good…3 star for food as there was a fly…need to be more hygienic…

We decided to try out Punjabi food abd visited Amritsar Haveli. Loved the assorted Haveli platter of starters. 5 stars for this item. Pakoda platter was just average. Mixed veg Kulcha with Chana and Gobi Paratha were too good. Was disappointed to hear that they were not able to serve some items like Amritsari thali, mini thali and some Tikka thought they were offered in the menu. 5 stars for Ambience Prices were on the higher side.

Good Food, Great Service, Pure Veg. Definitely pricey menu. The interior ambience is pretty ordinary which could have been done better. There are much better food options in the city for this price range. Location is well chosen which also has ample car parking space.
