It's really very awesome Railway station. But only platform no 1 is neet and clean same if you come on PF 8 it's so dirty and lack of cleaning on other PFs. Facilities are very awesome you can take rest room on very low cost. Apart that, the infrastructure is really very awesome. You can take various train from here. I would have given 5 star but as they should focus on cleaning of all PFs, i am giving it 4 stars.✨

Smart city, mediocre station. On a scale of 10: Access (8) Parking (5) Information (5) Location (8) Facilities (7) Hygiene - (-5) Food and Amenities (7) Elevator/Escalator (not working on 2 visits Dec 2023) Much has been done to expand this station but much more needs to be done if this is to be a truly a functional and model railway station.

Stepping onto the platform of the East Coast Railway Station in Visakhapatnam, I was greeted by a blend of functionality and local charm. The station's architecture is a fusion of modernity and regional aesthetics, creating an inviting atmosphere. Navigating the station was relatively smooth, with clear signage and announcements guiding passengers to their respective platforms. The waiting areas provided ample seating, although they appeared a bit dated and could benefit from some refurbishment. The cleanliness of the station was commendable, with maintenance staff frequently seen attending to their duties. However, the restroom facilities left a bit to be desired, as they could use more regular upkeep. While waiting for my train, I explored the food and shopping options available. The variety of eateries and stalls offered a decent selection of local snacks and refreshments. The souvenir shops showcased regional handicrafts and products, making for a culturally enriching experience. One noteworthy aspect was the station's connectivity. The availability of Wi-Fi and charging points catered to the tech-savvy traveler, and the consistent train schedule indicated efficient operations. The station's proximity to the coastline added a unique touch, allowing glimpses of the sea while waiting for trains. However, this proximity also meant that the station was prone to the occasional whiff of salty air and the sound of train horns echoing through the air. In summary, the East Coast Railway Station in Visakhapatnam strikes a balance between utility and local character. While it may not boast the grandeur of larger metropolitan stations, its efficiency, cleanliness, and cultural touches make it a fitting gateway to the vibrant city and its surroundings.

Visakhapatnam Railway station is near many tourist destinations and a major Junction.. The railway station itself is very well maintained. The good thing about the station is that, it is user-friendly - lesser steps to climb up and down. There is a ramp that connects all the platforms. A great relief! Our train was in platform no. 1, which made things even more easy. Outside it is very crowded. Visakhapatnam Railway station was formerly known as Waltair Railway station.

Clean and hygienic station. Exterior is so cool. Wifi available but charging points are less to find. There are 8 platforms according to my knowledge. The rickshaw drivers will lure you in ,try to bargain as much as you can they will eventually give in.

A Gateway to Southern Adventures Nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of train travel, this railway station stands tall as the largest hub with its impressive 8 platforms. As dawn breaks, I find myself drawn here, where every journey to the southern realms begins. The station's aesthetic charm captures the essence of a well-designed space, making each visit a visually pleasing experience. The early morning sun paints the platforms with a warm glow, creating an inviting atmosphere. Being a pivotal point for trains bound for the southern part, this station has become my regular haunt. Despite the morning rush, the organization is commendable, ensuring a seamless transition from platform to platform. Cleanliness is a virtue, and while this station boasts a tidy environment, there's a sense that it could strive for an even higher standard. Nevertheless, the overall ambiance is undeniably positive. In the heart of my travel routine, this station serves not just as a transit point but as a portal to adventures waiting in the southern expanse. A journey from here is not merely a trip; it's a curated experience that begins with the charm of this railway haven.
