It is 3km from Gajendragad, nearby City.In the region of North Karnataka, Kalkaleshwar Temple and associate Hill stands out for the niche it has. One of the best place to visit. Lord Veerbhadreshwara being the main deity. It has got a plateau mountain and a natural drift of water sprinting out from a height.

This location is around 5Km from bus stand. There are monkeys, please tc of your belongings/food items. Approximately 170 steps are these ,but all the steps are not of a same height. How you go up ,you ll find 1.5ft height steps. Shelter is there along steps. Here one mistery thing is, on Padya night temple's one part will claim the lime on its own.

Shri Kalakalaeshwara temple situated in a cave mountain. The place is vibrant, full of energy. there's waterfall that flows from the above the mountain, quite magical to witness. Surrounding place is quite and large, easy survey with friends and family could take 45 minutes max taking pictures.

This temple is inside the cave. One need to climb many steps. Senior citizen with knee pain can avoid this place. This place has unmissable tranquil vibe. Kalkaleshwari temple has idol of idol of lord Shiva. This place also has idol of lord Hanuman. There is small water dripping in between the rocks. This water has great taste.

Kalakaleshwara Temple, Gajendragad. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, is also known as Dakshina Kashi. At this temple Lord Shiva is worshipped in Kalakaleshwara form; an Udhbhava Lingu is present at this site as well. Tourists can reach this ancient temple conveniently with the help of large steps that lead them directly to the structure. In the premises, there is a temple of Lord Virabhadra. According to stories behind the temple, it is believed that Anthargange, a small, evergreen water reservoir, runs via the roots of a peepal tree and falls in the pond round the year. As per locals, it is also believed that this reservoir falls during the summer through an undiscovered root.

Ancient Shiva temple popularly known as Dakshina Kashi! The temple is mesmerising, and the Garbha Gudi in a cave on the mountain is very beautiful. The climb up the mountain could be a little difficult one for the aged, for others shouldn’t be an issue

The Kalakeshwara temple is in Gajendragada. From Gajendragada bus stop hardly 4 to 5 km far away. The Kalakeshwara temple is also referred to as the Kashi of the South or Dakshina Kashi.Lord shiva is worshipped here in the Kalakeshwara form. It's a very beautiful and greenery. From top of the hill we can see beautiful view. You’ll have to climb hardly 150+ steps to reach the Kalakeshwara temple. The temple is famous for its Udbhava linga. The water from the reservoir of the AthareGange continuously falls on the peepal tree throughout the year and no one has been able to identify the root source. It still remains a mystery. And I have tasted the water, it's very sweet, tasty and cold. You can visit the temple during the months of March and February. Be careful about your things while climbing the stairs because so many monkeys are there.

One of the historical place, every one should visit. Trust me you will love this place at most. But pujari should have patience to explain about the place. At the entry point you need to buy entry ticket, the guy who cuts entry ticket is good enough to explain about the place.

It is awesome. Nature's gift. Water seeps from the mountain through a tree root which is collected and it is connected to a tap. The water tasted soo good and it was very cool. It is used as a thertham.

Shri Kalakaleshwara temple is also called as dakshina kaashi. This is the temple of lord Shiva and this is a ancient temple near Gajendragada.Just outside the temple exit is a small square water reservoir called AtharaGange. It is an evergreen water resource that constantly falls along the roots of Peepal tree into the pond all throughout the year. It is said to be flowing even in the peaks of summer season and has an unknown root.
