We were visiting Savusavu on the Westerdam. The location is next to the tender dock, as you can see in the photo, which was perfect for some cold drinks before we went back to the ship. We had a couple of Corona beers and a fruit smoothie. We didn’t have anything to eat.

We try once a year, but consistently disappointing. You can get better food at a third of the price in town... They even managed to overcook the rice!! Thai chicken was flavorless and blend with soggy rice, $22.50. New Year BBQ was BURNED! And drowned in cheap bbq sauce. $29.50 The street bbq stands around Savusavu are better for $10! Definitely not worth the extra $$$ they charge... Try another restaurant in Savusavu instead!! Same budget, amazing food ($12-30 pp) : - Grace Road (Korean food and fried chicken, opp Waitui) - Dheli 6 (South indian food) - Ethan's (great burgers and coffee, opp Waitui) - Planter's club (great fish n chips, past Courts) - Savusavu Wok (chinese, opp Waitui) Cheap local restaurants, still way better than Captain's table ($6-$12 pp) : - Arun's (local indian food, opp waitui) - Midtown eatery (indian food, between BrijLal and New World) - Decked Out (great Samosas, opp Copra Shed, name may have changed) - Chong Pong (chinese, opp bus stand) But if you try the Captain's Table, be warned!

beautiful location by the water! Incredible sunsets and delicious cuisine. I really loved the Fijian fish dish, the nz mussels and the chilli garlic lobster. Yum!

We had a lovely evening by the water at sunset. We had called to book ahead (try Captains Cafe if you can’t get through) and had lovely service. Our party had Tuna mornay, Greek salad with mini potatoes, and beef bolognaise pasta. Food was delicious. Wine was reasonably priced. Views at sunset were spectacular! We visited on a Sunday and retired to the next door Savusavu Yacht Club for live music and dancing with the locals. A great evening. Note: venue is wheelchair accessible but you may need assistance accessing the yacht club garden area.

This is the place to eat if you find yourself in Savusavu. Friendly staff and a good variety of options on the menu. A great location right on the water.

Had the chicken curry and red snapper special plus Fiji beer. And I cannot forget- HOMEMADE ginger ice cream. Super delicious! Same food as in cafe but a few dollars more. Still very reasonable compared to USD prices. Nice atmosphere and views. Clean bathrooms.

Restaurant is on the waters edge with good view. It’s in the Copra Shed area. We ordered some sandwiches and fried rice. Decent food.

We loved this restaurant when we visited in 2014, but sadly on our most recent visit (July 2018) we found that it had gone downhill. The service was apathetic and very slow, and the food was merely good, not great like it used to be and thus not worth the expense. Hopefully it will one day it will again be as good as it was.
