Mad
Cat
Hostel
Osaka
&
Mad
Beach
Bar
is
a
hidden
oasis
inside
of
Osaka.
The
two
owners,
Rieko
and
Toshi,
are
wonderful,
and
incredibly
hospitable.
They
have
lots
of
experience
working
in
hostels
all
over
the
world,
and
it
shows.
The
hostel
is
incredibly
clean,
showers
are
large,
and
the
rooms
have
a
great
sense
of
privacy.
Even
though
there
were
many
people
staying
during
my
time
there,
it
never
felt
cramped.
They
also
have
a
private
room
if
that's
more
you're
thing.
The
atmosphere
is
safe
and
cozy,
and
it
honestly
felt
like
it
was
a
home,
where
the
people
there
were
all
friends
and
family.
For
foreigners,
Toshi
and
Rieko
speak
prefect
English,
and
a
bit
of
Spanish.
Credit
cards
are
taken,
and
there
are
lots
of
booklets
available
inside
that
lead
to
day
excursions,
or
just
simple
trips
around
town.
Mad
Cat
is
very
conveniently
located
by
a
bus
stop
and
in-between
two
major
subway
stations.
You're
close
to
three
convenience
stores,
across
from
a
lovely
gyoza
place,
and
they
have
a
bar
on
site,
the
Mad
Beach!
If
you
can,
try
the
Jazzberry
fruit
beer,
or
the
aptly
named
"Wednesday's
cat."
If
you're
not
into
beer,
Toshi
makes
a
mean
chuhai.
If
you
love
cats,
the
whole
place
is
filled
with
charming
cat
memorabilia,
and
two
adorable
cats
who
are
a
bit
shy.
Though
you'll
hear
them
chatting
in
the
morning
when
they're
hungry
for
breakfast.
All
in
all,
Mad
Cat
Hostel
Osaka
&
Mad
Beach
is
a
phenomenal
place
for
anyone
looking
to
stay
in
Osaka.
I
have
stayed
in
Osaka
many
times,
and
it
is
by
far
the
most
delightful
and
memorable
experience
I
have
had
there.
