This is a must-visit place for people who enjoy sophisticated cocktails. The two brothers who run the place are super friendly, charismatic, funny and take their craft very seriously. Each drink is given careful consideration from the shape of the ice , which they sometimes hand carve, to the type of glass they serve the cocktails in. You will find cocktails for every personality here including classics like the whisky sour ( with Japanese whisky). But you cant leave without trying the signature drinks invented by the duo which you might not find in the menu. All the drinks we had were rich in flavours, perfectly balanced and accompanied by fun banter with the bartenders and fellow drinkers.

Those three French bartenders deliver a great show mixing creative and delicious craft cocktails! They have a good selection of Japanese spirits and are super friendly. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.

Very very (and I really mean it) very good cocktails. The bartenders which are awesome people, very social and make some of the best original flavor cocktails I've had. An awesome experience overall, one that I can definitely recommend to both locals and tourists like me to check out. I can go on, but this place is a must and I'll come back to next time we're around! Thank you guys for the fun evening really hope we meet again!

This is a great place for foreigners to hang out, as the bartenders speak French, English and Japanese (as far as we know). The drinks were also very varied and interesting, all with their unique presentation (cotton candy clouds, bathtubs, smoked drinks, and more). This is one bar to visit in Kanazawa, regardless of nationality, they will treat you right! PS. make sure to get a spot at the bar, the bartenders are wonderful to talk to, and will be particularly interested in alcoholic knowledge from your part of the world!

Can't say enough good things about this amazing cocktail bar. We were lucky to spend new year's here and enjoyed 6 cocktails, each original, and many off-menu. The establishment is run by a duo of French-Japanese brothers who speak French, Japanese, and English well, foreigners welcome. Drinks were all thoughtfully crafted and balanced. Service and ambience were impeccable. You don't find a place with this many 5 star reviews for no reason!

A pleasant surprise in Kanazawa. The bar came recommended from another of our favorite bars, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Japan. The brothers have a fantastic place and instantly make you feel at home there. They have a very delicate hand and some really inventive, well executed drinks. On menu or off, you won’t be disappointed. It was also fun hearing a mix of French, English, and Japanese depending on the clientele.

Creative and delicious drinks with exceptional presentation. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and care immensely about making great drinks (fluently speaking English, French and Japanese!). They took time to explain their creations and all the thought that went into them, as well as heaps of local advice on Kanazawa dining. The bar itself had a relaxed but modern stylish vibe. I recommend the Japanese Old Fashioned, with unique shiso infused flavors, maybe my favorite cocktail of all 2022!

Ah, Furansu... I hate that I found this place. Do I hate it because it's bad? no. On the contrary. It's the best cocktail bar I've ever been to. Furansu is so good that months later you'll find yourself idly walking the streets of your city in a cocktail bar binge, chasing the dragon. It's so good that when someone mentions visiting Kanazawa you'll be like AH YES I KNOW OF SOME MUSEUMS THERE WE SHOULD TOTALLY CHECK OUT HAHAHA. Don't go to this place unless you want every other cocktail bar experience ruined forever. If there's a bar worth visiting a city for, it's Furansu; the atmosphere inside can only be the result of people that love their craft and perform it with total dedication and passion. It's magical. Special thanks to the brothers for trying their best to give me and my partner recommendations for similar places in our travels around Japan, but ultimately nothing that we tried came close.

This was an amazing cocktail bar. I thought something this recommended and this many good reviews has to have some sort of catch, such as being too expensive or a bit highbrow, but nothing could be further from the truth. The cocktails were great and the guys running the show were incredibly welcoming and fun to talk with. My friends and I practically had the place to ourselves for a while, which was fun for us but is a shame because this place definitely deserves to be a lot busier.

Very nice (innovative with Japanese touch) cocktails with very nice (helpful) bartenders and very nice (modern) atmosphere! Loving Kanazawa, this bar just added why this city is becoming my favorite experience in Japan! Cosy place, and nice discussion with fellow travelers made our 5hours stay there enjoyable!

What a gem. Truly spectacular cocktails in a more than welcoming and warm atmosphere. The brothers are excellent hosts. One of the best cocktail bars I have experienced in Japan. The owners / bartenders, Seigi and Nao, will make you feel at home with their Franco-Japanese hospitality. Ask them anything and they will deploy their cocktail skills - try the Boulevardier revisit or the Umeshu Sour!
