My husband and I were looking for cocktails and found this place. I really want people to find and come here because the drinks are amazing, and the company is great too. This is a sister bar to a Bible Club located in Portland Oregon, but the owner has put his own twists on traditional drinks as well as made his own. My husband and I got the penicillin, serendipity (so good!), and the barn burner. Everything was made to perfection and the atmosphere of the bar is so perfect, wish we could stay here all night. I hope people find this place and trust our reviews because this place is definitely worth a visit.

Talk about a bar that will transport back to times of prohibition! Everything in the bar is 100 years old, the jazz music sets the scene, and the drinks knock it out of the park. You can smoke in this bar so if that isn’t your cup of tea, just be aware. One of the best negronis and moscow mules I’ve had. Great friendly staff and beautiful attention to detail. It’s a must-go!

Delicious drink, cool vibe. Charge 800¥ to order. You need to order a drink every hour or they politely ask you to leave… Decoration looks amazing but the smoke smell was so, so bad, way worst than any other bar or club I’ve been to in Japan. Maybe it’s part of the vibe, but no windows and people smoking cigars all night, they could at least put an air purifier or something similar.

The drinks were well made and the atmosphere is prohibition era and truly takes you back to that time. The bartenders were friendly and know how to make drinks! We ordered the BC Moscow Mule (spicier than expected - ginger kind of spicy) and the old fashion. Both were wonderful and had a unique taste.

After being to Portland's Bible club last year, I can say that this one is way better!! It's a hidden gem underneath the busy busy streets of Osaka. Amazing cocktails and great bartenders. We tried 6 different cocktails and loved them all. The vibe here as soon you walk in is something else. Feels like you stepped into the past!

Easily the best cocktail bar and speakeasy in Asia...likely even the world. Environment is warm and relaxing in an old fashioned way. Each drink is carefully crafted by masters in their trade bringing together the absolute best ingredients. Whether you like gin, rum, whiskey, etc...Bible Club managed to have a stockpile of the best selections and matches them with equally rare bitters and other ingredients. Prices: Surprisingly excellent...most ranging from about $10-$15 *(about 1/3rd the price of similar cocktails from the best bars in Las Vegas, Berlin, or Seoul) making it very reasonable to spend a few hours enjoying truly the best of the best.

My kinda bar! What an amazing experience! It’s a hidden basement bar that has a 20s pre-prohibition vibe. Look for Beyond Cool Castle (which is a jewelry store) and you’ll find a wooden door on the side that will lead you to a stair. The drink I ordered was terrific. The Negroni Flip was creamy, a bit sweet that complements the bitterness of a usual negroni. Great stuff. The atmosphere was phenomenal. It’s like being transported to another time. Must visit!

Wonderful atmosphere. We came on a weekday night so it was easy to find a seat. Drinks were all well balanced, and reading all the comments previously I did also try the Moscow mule which was a pleasant experience due to the strong ginger taste.. almost a bit of spicy kick to it. So far all the drinks we ordered - none that we can find fault to. Definitely a great experience for your night out in Osaka.

Amazing place! Cool interior and friendly staff. The cocktails are to die for, I’ve had the Mary Pickford cocktail and it was seriously the best cocktail I’ve ever had. I often think about how good it was 🥹

An authentic Japanese cocktail bar. The drinks are excellently crafted and the use of wood makes the space feel very traditional. This bar had a “prohibition style” elegance to it, but stayed true to Japanese principles. I highly recommend this bar for a quality drink.

We loved this place so much we came back a second time during our stay in Osaka. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we were looking for a place to have some drinks after dinner. I was google searching and reading reviews about the Bible Club and just had to try it. It took us a few minutes to figure out where the door was as it sort of blends in with the wall. With the help of google images we were able to locate the door. Next thing we were down in underground antique bar and we just loved the vibe. Staff and service were great. Highly recommend this place next time you are staying in Osaka.

Love this bar. Look for the wooden door labeled BIBLE CLUB and enter a prohibition era bar with eclectic decor and outstanding drinks. Highly recommend this place!

Best bar I found while I was in Japan with my fiancé. The speak easy ambiance is super cool with the prohibition era theme. Cocktails are a bit pricey but great and worth it. Best old fashioned I’ve had for sure. They have a cover charge but it’s not bad, staff is friendly and they lay the ground rules, if your ok with them you can stay and if not they let you leave. Personally, one downside was that people can smoke in there (went home smelling like cigarettes). Overall I enjoyed it and would definitely come back. Definitely going to check out the one in Portland.

I had an amazing time at Bible Club Osaka. Coming from Australia, I was thoroughly impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail applied to constructing their selection of cocktails. I tried their Penicillin, Glico Sour and unique Old Fashioned. Ryuske, Mina and Masaki were friendly and professional in service. Worth trying if you're staying in Osaka!

This is a really nice hidden gem in Osaka. The bar staff, rule sheet and menus are in both Japanese and English. The customer service was excellent and the ambiance was great! The cocktails were also very well made and went down soooo smoothly. I'll definitely be back again, but perhaps with a date because of the cover charge (¥800/person) and drink prices (min. ¥1500/drink). But trust me, the drinks and vibe are absolutely worth the price. Also if you are a tourist PLEASE BE QUIET AND DO NOT RUIN THIS PLACE FOR EVERYONE ELSE‼️This is NOT a pub. If you want that vibe then perhaps Blarney Stone, The Hub, Murphy's or Balabushka would be better for you. But please have some DECORUM when you come to this place. Act like you were raised properly PLEASE.

Great atmosphere and a drinks menu that caters to every taste. My partner and I had 4 drinks. All were well conceived and carefully executed. Try the bitter sour! It was particularly excellent.

The atmosphere and drinks are amazing. I’ve had old fashions at a number of bars but this one is second only to a smoked version of the classic cocktail. 10/10 recommend

This must be one of the most amazing prohibition era style bars existing. The cocktails are fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderfully elegant. The staff is friendly and they are excellent mixologists. I would definitely come again. Recommended to any cocktail enthusiast.

The best bar in Osaka! We got recommended this place by bartenders in another bar, and it sure was a great recommendation. The owner is such a warm welcoming and skilled bartender. He makes some great cocktails. Try the serendipity, you will not be disappointed. The your bartenders helping the boss are also really good. We had the cheese board to go with the drinks. It was better than I would have experted in Japan. The interior is american speakeasy style. Looks great. I really recommend this bar!

Quite hidden in plain sight, as it was the theme is prohibition era. The bartender and staff speaks english and we order their recommendations, they ask what base do we prefer. We tried 4 drinks and it was very smooth. Costs us ¥7600

What a great spot to find in Osaka! Grateful my friends had looked this up, it’s a great vibe and all the little touches in the decor really make it special. The drinks are delicious - highly recommended from all parties involved! The only reason for the 4 and not 5 stars is because they allow smoking and it was very heavy in the air. Otherwise a great spot!
