The service was great. The atmosphere is also really nice. But the food wasn’t good. We had their stake and eggs. The steak had a bad smell. The French toast was’t great either. But the chocolate croissant was alright. Overall it won’t be our first pick for a breakfast place in the future.

I have always found this place to have a great menu and argued with many before I even tasted it that it maybe the best restaurant in the city. Many said that it wasn't as great in food flavors and service as it is written in the menu. My brother wanted to have a healthy breakfast meal and recommended this place. I called the place right away and made a reservation and asked until what time they serve breakfast and considering it was Saturday, they said until about 3pm. When we got there, we parked on the street as there wasn't any parking space for the place located in the busy area of Signal area on the other side of Hayahulet. No one asked if we had reservation and sat and continued to order our meal. We order Beef Fillet, Grilled Chicken Breast, French Toast and Seafood Omelette. Out waitress brought us a 'Bruschetta' with tomatoes and parmesan cheese. It was a very nice touch and complimentary. Our lunch / brunch arrived and the Seafood Omelette was more than I expected. It was very hot, delicious, perfect portion and plenty of seafood (both garnished and sauteed with). It was one of the best dishes I have ever had and priced only at 900 birr. With many new restaurants opening in Addis Ababa like Marcus Addis and C-Prem, Five Loaves seems to have the capablility to compete with those restaurants although it lacks... 1. During the middle of of our lunch / brunch service, the staff that is supposedly to start work at around noon just stormed in through the front door and at that with some staff carrying their aprons in their hands and greeting one another in the middle of the floor and asking the earlier staff the statuses of the morning service. 2. Some great painings / photos are placed on the walls throughout the restaurant, but seem to be dirty, old and not aligned. 3. Shouldn't you have a reception at the door? But my overall experience at this place was beyond my expectation. It was amazing. I can not wait to return and try other dishes I read in the menu like Roasted Whole Chicken and Chicken Parmesan.

Food was of course delicious. Unfortunately we got to go 3 sandwich meals and every single side was incorrect. Otherwise it was really good. It is a little more on the expensive side. We got 1 soup, 2 chicken quesadillas, 3 cheese sandwiches and it was almost 6000etb. Otherwise if you don’t mind spending a bit, food was delicious and a good size.

The food is top tier a bit on the expensive side, but if you wanna impress people, it is a great place to recommend. We had the steak sandwich, house burger, and grilled fish. Let me tell you when i say best fish i had in addis, couldn't get enough. To top it off, they even have great desert. It's definitely one to try!!

One of the best or probably the best restaurant I have ever visited. The food is just perfect. We went there as Sunday Brunch. The Chef, Theo, welcomed us by himself and gave us free Chef’s gift. The Greek salad was amazing and I ordered an extra one for take away. Omelets, pancakes and waffle were very good. The restaurant offers international food as well as Ethiopian food. The Chef has 36 years of experience in the United States including 2 Michelin Starts restaurants and came bake to Addis to teach his home country whatever he learned. I forgot to say that if you want to eat cheese this is the only restaurant that offers cheese platter as the Chef is the one who imported them to Addis. It is a must go restaurant for any one visiting Addis Ababa and I will go back to it again before I leave.

The steak and mash potatoes were amazing and I would come back to this wonderful little place! This place doesn’t look beautiful on the outside but the inside will wow your palette!

I have been to this bistro twice. Food is generally good-tasting but I found the portion sizes larger than I’d like. Especially when going for dinner, I suggest that you mix a salad with something else and you would still end up with a full stomach 😃

**Spending - Total: Around 2,700 Birr, including Salmon Eggs Benedict, French Toast, two glasses of White Wine, and Orange Juice. **Impression Discovering such a place in Addis Ababa was a delightful surprise! It felt as though I was dining in a European restaurant. The antique and spacious ambiance was remarkable. The Salmon Eggs Benedict is a must-try! The French Toast was pleasantly sweet and enjoyable. Additionally, the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming.
