This is a really lovely State Park made all the better by the fact that Lake Ouachita is one of the most beautiful lakes in the state. The water is cold and clear, and I would definitely advise renting a boat for the day. The Marina at the State Park rents all sorts of watercraft, and there are several other marinas on the lake that rent them as well. Loops B and C are small and right on the water, while Loop D is set up on a hill, and is very shaded. They have some walk-in tent sites that are on a little peninsula and are really nice. They do a sunset Cruise a couple of times a week for $10 per person, and it's great....there is an interpreter to tell you about the area and its history. Cell phone service is pretty spotty in the park, but there is Wi-Fi and a nice indoor seating area at the visitor center.

Very beautiful scenery especially in the fall with fall colors. We stayed away from park at best western cuz they allow dogs, and it was right across street from casino where my wife likes the fancy blinking lites and losing money. My favorite is the scenery especially fall colors, the lake and ponds with pretty trees around were beautiful. We all enjoyed the trip. This next year during fall colors we are planning farther north at Ozarks or east in smoky mountains or blue ridge parkway. Try these!

Very peaceful and well maintained park. The staff is extremely friendly. You can tell all the staff care about the park as they take the cleanliness seriously as well as park rules. I often saw staff checking on things and cleaning. On top of that, the park itself is quiet with enough room for many people to stay and it doesn't feel crowded. At times you can feel like the only one there. The swim beaches are lovely, quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to go back and explore more of this gorgeous park!

From Texas! Went here for a dirty 30 trip with my friends and we loved it so much! There's so much to explore if you enjoy kayaking! We only saw a small portion of the lake but it was beautiful. Can't wait to go back and kayak the rest!

It was extremely beautiful to take the family out and to have time for just us and nature. We went in mid Nov. pretty chilly but it was worth it. Even with all the mishaps we had with our tent and air mattress all that is just funny memories. Prices was cheaper and fair for camping versus other places and the bath houses where very nice and for the most part really clean. Even had the chance to do the Eagle tour which was out ON the lake in their bigger pontoon boats. That was alot of fun and definitely worth it.. We'll definitely go again especially when it warms up again.

Well maintained, friendly staff, clean bathrooms and hot showers. Spent a week and 1 night the rangers came by to alert us of severe storms and told us to use the bathroom as a shelter. Cell service at our site was non existent but free WiFi at the visitor center from 8am to 5pm. Nice little beach and boat rentals

Me and my family hiked the Caddo Bend Trail which was 4 miles long. Was an intensive hike with beautiful scenery. The marina is a good place to eat. Also a very nice visitor center with nice amenities like a microwave and sitting area. Overall, 100% recommended going her. Very relaxing from the stresses of urban life.

We stayed at the walk-in tent sites and loved it! The peninsula ends at a great viewing place for the sunset. Caught a pretty sunrise one morning. The restroom closest to use was beautiful. Each a self contained unit - commode, sink, and shower. It was even air conditioned and very clean!

Had a great experience! We stayed in camper cabin 61, which was very clean and comfortable. The lightning bugs were beautiful, the water calming, and the Three Sisters’ Spring so cold! Dropping 1 star purely because the women’s shower in Camp Section A had a low shower head and floating dead bugs in the soap dish of standing water.

Stayed at the state park campsite and it was the best place I've ever camped. Primitive camping had lovely tidy spots by the lake which is perfect for swimming! Bathrooms are amazing, large and air conditioned with proper showers, easy 5*

We recently visited for the first time and had a great stay! The park had lots of scheduled programs on the weekend. We took the ranger led sunset cruise and it was awesome! The water is so clear and the rocks are so pretty! This is definitely a popular park, especially with the boaters and I can see why!

I had a positive experience taking three young children by myself. We all loved it. We stayed in the walk in tent. T1 is nearest to the parking lot and t12 is closest to the handicap parking lot. T1, t2, t12 are the closest ones from the bath house. I love the real primitive camping feels but close to a clean fully equipped bathrooms and hot showers. T11, T6 and T7 seemed to have wider "little beaches" than the others. I'd definitely go back again.

Really nice lake! We took the sunset cruise and learned a lot about the lake and it’s history. The state park tour guide was really great!

This place is downright beautiful! The three sisters springs is a cool place to visit and the views from the trails are magnificent! The bathrooms at the visitor center were closed when we were there but you can use the shower house.

Came in on a Sunday and reserved one of the few remaining camp sites at the top of the mountain so I could catch a breeze. No breeze but there were snakes and a group of deer that frequently stopped by during the day and evening. Checked out a little early the next morning to get to my next destination and when I opened the flap I startled the crew of deer and there was one stopping and snorting so I just laid back down until they moved on. Water was said to be the clearest in the nation by a food truck lady but didn't see that. Beach area by three sister springs is small but the water coming out of there was brisk and beautiful on the hot day. Was going to rent a kayak but they closed at 5PM and I got there around 4:45. Had a burger from the food truck which hit the spot and met a nice fellow a few spots down name Brian who invited me for a small fire, although it never caught. Great place, beautiful views, and friendly campers and staff. Will be back

One of our fav places to visit in Hot Springs. This is such a beautiful and clear lake. Plenty of good fishing. Camping available. Hiking trails. Boat rentals. Great place for a family getaway or to go and just relax

We really enjoyed our visit here. The lake is the prettiest lake I have ever seen. We spent a day here. The park is fairly small compared to others we have been to, but the lake and forest around it go on a long way. The lake from end to end is 36 miles according to a state park intrepter. There are two beaches. One by the marina and one by Three Sisters Springs called Spring Beach. Our favorite was Spring Beach. The views were amazing. The water was clear and cool and it had a sandy, inclined beach, They also have picnic tables in the shade by the parking lot and a port o potty if you need to use the bathroom. Three sisters springs is also located there. Our kids enjoyed seeing that wonder of nature. We rented paddle boats for $6 an hour. They were very well maintained and can hold 4 people. The staff at the marina are very friendly and helpful. Later in the day we took a Bird Island Tour. It sounds kind of cringy, but it was an amazing experience. It is a two hour sunset tour around the lake to bird island where you will see an incredible amount of birds. Right now Purple Martin's are nesting there. I have never seen that many birds in my life. We all loved it. There are two hiking trails in the park. We did Dogwood Trail, 0.5 miles long. It was moderately strenuous. You go uphill for what seems like forever. Our kids ages 6-15 did fine with it. It was really pretty. There is another trail called Caddo Trail, it is 4 miles long. We did not take it as it is considered strenuous for hikers. I've heard it has great views though. Overall, great, clean park. We would definitely go back.

I would give this a 4.5 stars if I could. We stayed at the campground D and thought everything was great. Staff was friendly, everything was relaxing, and the visitor center had several events scheduled each day if you were interested. I don't know if this continues outside of peak season, but we liked the variety of options for all ages if we wanted something to do that we hadn't already planned. I did have two complaints though, and they may only be associated with campground D. 1) The toilets in the bathroom were weirdly high at the bathhouses for that area. I'm 5'6" and when sitting on the toilets my toes barely touched the ground. As such, you kind of started to lose feeling in your toes if you needed more than 30 seconds on the toilet. 2) When walking from campground D to the marina, there's not really a shoulder to the road for a large chunk of the road and there's not a pedestrian trail alternative. Not much traffic is headed that way, but it made me nervous to walk that way when I could hear cars coming and they couldn't see me easily because of how windy the roads are.

Just enjoyed three nights in Campground B, enjoying the lake views and wildlife. The sunset cruise with Hannah was the highlight for me - highly recommend, she was an awesome, knowledgeable guide! As usual, the weekend night was busier with locals and much noisier, but typical.

Absolutely beautiful! Park is very well maintained. Stayed here 4 nights, in camper cabin 62. Cabin was clean, comfortable & a short walk to bathrooms. This was the perfect place to unwind & enjoy the outdoors. Definitely returning soon!
