Kerrassaan upea rakennus, kauniilla paikalla ja kävelymatkan päässä Tampereen keskustasta. Näyttelyt olivat mielenkiintoisia ja hyvin rakennettuja. Kannattaa istahtaa myös kuuntelemaan Nottbeckien suvun tarinaa videon muodossa.

Beautifully restored mansion, displaying local history and stories about one of the most influential families for local development back in the day. The exhibits are wonderfully done and seasonally decorated. We even got little yule gifts, as I was visiting just before Christmas. Staff are very knowledgeable and super eager to help, and the multi-lingual audio guide and chronologically organised rooms make it easy to follow along. There's also a beautiful café in the mansion and the view from the gardens is stunning!

Kaunis paikka korkean mäen päällä. Kynttiläkierros hämärtyvässä palatsissa 20.10.2023. Hurjan paljon asiaa "kummitusoppaan" kierroksella, niin että kaikkea ei millään pysty sisäistämään yhdellä kertaa. "Kummitusopas" kertoi hyvin ja mielenkiintoisesti kartanon ja sen omistajien vaiheista. Ainoa huono puoli oli se, että huoneissa tuli kuuma, kun paikalla oli paljon väkeä.

Amazing historical background on the mansion. Very well preserved. Nice display on Vivienne Westwood. Very economic entry ticket price. Great view to the amusement park outside.

Upea rakennus, jonka dramaattiseen historiaan voi tutustua perusnäyttelyssä. Paljon mielenkiintoisia yksityiskohtia ja oivaltaviakin esitystapoja. Kannattaa katsoa myös tarinaa avaava lyhyt video. Vaihtuvat näyttelyt eri teemoilla, tällä kertaa Vivienne Westwoodin muotia. Pienehkö museo, jossa helppo poiketa myös nopealla visiitillä. Alakerran kahvila tosin pettymys.

Pieni, mutta kivasti toteutettu näyttely talon väestä ja historiasta. Lisäksi vaihtuvana näyttelynä ollut häänäyttely ja sen jälkeen erilaisten hääasusteiden sovittelu oli mukavaa

Beautiful museum with a sad story

Interesting museum! Looks very beautiful from the inside. Recommend taking the headphones for the background story, and watching either of the documentaries at the end.

Beautifully renovated building is hosting an exhibition of the history of one of the important families in the history of Tampere as well as a changing exhibition, this time of life and work of fashion designer and activist Vivienne Westwood.

Few tourists find this museum, but I'm glad I accidentally stumbled upon it. Here you can learn about Tampere's history and the people who made it into an industrial town. It is located in a nice park.

The building is gorgeous so we expected an amazing museum inside. The audio support was a cool addition for those wanting to learn more but each audio description was so long and it dragged on and on and on. I ended up just taking off the headphones and reading the descriptions which were summaries of the novel the audio would've explained to me. It was a pretty boring experience I have to admit. We were super disappointed because the building looks so beautiful so we expected an interesting museum. So unfortunate because my husband and I love museums but this one failed to impress.

Tranquillity and history of Tampere

This museum is quite small. It's a pitty that only one floor is exposed to the visitors, while ground floor is closed for private events. I liked the Vivienne Westwood exhibition, but permanent exposition about von Nottbeck left me wanting to see and know more, because it had basically just three rooms.

Visited the current wedding attire exhibition, which I found interesting. The best part of my visit, though, was the video on the history of Milavida during the Civil war. Nice cafe downstairs.

Combine this visit with Tallipiha. During your visit to Tallipiha, don't miss checking out Milavida Museum. The architecture and gardens alone with not disappoint.

I remember this place from my childhood and saddly it has gone downhill. Cafe area is poorly made and the manor owner exhibition needs more information. But the building is beautiful, i wished I could see more rooms, like the "dark house".

Certainly worth visiting. It has an exhibition about the history of the building, and often very interesting temporary exhibition. Also the location itself is very beautiful.
