Nice place. This place is actually a series of monuments, landmarks of the history. So you can use either cycle, scooter, walk or car as well to go to each monument. This place has enough information to get idea what happened in the war. I recommend every family to go there and experience glorious past. If you can bring some snacks, anti mosquito cream, water that would be very good. You can play some family group games also.

Amazing view of the battle field, you can take stairs to top and look out. Make sure you gi to Museum and get the history about this battle. You will find many monuments on the battle field from all the states. This is the largest.

A very nice monument that has all the names off all the Pennsylvanians that served in Gettysburg. You are able to get to the top and get a nice view of Gettysburg. They also have markers on top to show you where to look to see different landmarks.

The monument has the name of every Pennsylvanian who fought at Gettysburg. This alone is a reason to visit it.

The most stately monument of all erected in the park, and deservingly so to the brave Pennsylvanians who were dedicated for their sacrifice in upholding the Union. Fully enjoyed my Auto Tour on the hot day of July 3rd, which was exactly 157 years after the last day the Gettysburg Battle was fought.

Amazing! You can go to the roof top. If you have any relatives who were in the battle, make sure you know their infantry. You will be able to find their name easier on the plaques.

Quite a sight to see! There is a calmness in the air as if the land itself is still in shock of the loss of life that took place here so long ago. If you come here, come in reverence and try to understand how a nation can get to this level of violence on itself.

We didn't have a lot of time in Gettysburg and the ranger suggested this monument. It's pretty darn cool. The hidden staircase to the top was unexpected and had a great view.

Had an amazing experience climbing the stairs to the top of this monument. You can see the area and most of the surrounding battlefield, which is huge.

If you are have Pennsylvania family who participated in the battle you'll find their names listed here. A trip to the top of the monument gives an amazing veiw of almost all of the battlefield!

Very cool monument. It’s a very harrowing feeling reading the names of all those soldiers. At sunset it’s just 👌🏼

Beautiful monument. A testament to the number of lives lost and jeopardized during this terrible war... Its so hard to imagine all of these fields full of men standing arm to arm for miles and miles in every direction, from nearly every state... not to mention the marches to get to this place. I'm in awe of these men.

The largest monument on the Gettysburg grounds honors all soldiers from PA who were involved in the battle. Monument is HUGE, and gives great views of the surrounding field areas.

Th PA Monument in Gettysburg is beautiful. It is the largest of the staye monuments at Gettysburg. There is a circular stairway in the monument which allows you a view from the top. The day I was there, a living history event was happening. There is no cost for the monument, but we took a bus tour of the Battlefield and there is a cost for that.

Very impressive monument to the State of Pennsylvania's contributions to the war. Climbing to the top of the monument allows for panoramic views of the battlefields and monuments at Gettysburg. The area surrounding the monument is well maintained. Given the size of this monument there is a dedicated parking area and restrooms. Definitely a must-do at Gettysburg. We recommend listening to the audio tour portion to gain a better understanding of the area.

The Pennsylvania Momument is the largest state monument at Gettysburg. As the host state, that makes sense. It's a nice monument and has a small staircase to go on top. It's very narrow so be careful if you decide to go up.

  • 5/5 Gary W. 6 months ago on Google
Awesome memorial. The trek up the winding staircase to the observation level was a neat experience for my kids. The view over the battlefield helped bring the battle together.

I found my true North. We did the guided audio tour via our vehicle. It was good for the amount of time we had. We seen several people with guides and rangers. If we would have been in town for more than one day, I would suggest that option.

This was a magnificent monument with a great view of the battlefield. You must walk up the spiral steps and check out the metal work along the way. Once you’re out on the balcony area, the view is spectacular. Highly recommended to spend a few minutes here.

This was super cool! My husband walked to the top. Lots of wonderful (and terrible) history at these grounds!

  • 5/5 Brian S. 11 months ago on Google
Largest monument in the Gettysburg Battlefield. Lists all the PA soldiers who died in the battle. Beautiful works on it. Wonderful photo stop as well.

Nice little climb to get a great view. Arrows on the top railing point to different landmarks in the battlefield.

Awesome place, full of historic monuments. Very well maintained, closes at sunset and is free to enter. Has both car and bicycle trails.

  • 5/5 Deb C. 9 months ago on Google
One of my favorite places in the area. Definitely worth the stop and the climb up the spiral stairs to go to the top. Beautiful views!

  • 5/5 Amber M. 9 months ago on Google
This monument is quite large and beautiful . There is a stairwell in the monument that you can go up to be able to actually stand on top on a viewing platform to see many of the battlefields. Though the stairs are very narrow and serial so it is hard to pass anyone coming up or down and it's not lit well , so caution is needed.

  • 5/5 Zachary M. 9 months ago on Google
It's gorgeous! Lots of tourists here. You can climb to the top and look around. Be careful. The stairs are narrow and steep, and people are coming up and down.

Was great to visit this monument, I've been here a handful of other times, but until recently was unaware my family's name was on it. Was able to get a rubbing of my ancestor Samuel who fought at the Battle of Gettysburg, he was shot through his hip by a musket ball during the Battle. Thank you Samuel for fighting with the 148th and giving your life later for Pennsylvania and your country.

A beautiful display of history. A 'hidden' door inside a column with a tight spiral staircase that leads to a Fantabulous view.

This in my opinion is the best memorial and provides the best views of the battlefield and cemetery ridge.

This was a larger monument we could walk up steps and go into. It looked very nice and provided a nice view of the surrounding area. I liked the shout out on the plaque to the women who lost their loved ones in that time.

  • 5/5 Jim H. 3 years ago on Google
Names of all Pennsylvania soldiers on the monument honors their memories and what they collectively fought for. Each had their own personal motivations. We enjoy in the freedom they've fought for and we still fight for today. Our country may not perfect, but in the end we are all on the same side.

One of the best vantage points in the Battlefield, especially if you climb to the top of the dome. A MUST SEE. Fantastic view of the Federal line in both directions, it shows how dangerously far General Sicles Third Corps position in the Peach Orchard extended from the rest of the Union Army, exposing it to potential development and destruction.

  • 5/5 Molly H. 4 years ago on Google
One of may favorite monuments on the Gettysburg Battlefield. Spectacular views of the surrounding fields with helpful markers pointing to significant places around it. There are some bathrooms near by but the monument itself is not handicapped accessable since there are a series of steps up the base and then a very narrow, winding staircase up to the top.

Part of the Gettysburg driving experience. Lots to see and do. Great vacation self drive your. We stopped at the Gettysburg national park center, bought a download link and took a tour of the battlefield. Quite large and impressive 👌.

Be sure to walk inside the monument. We saw a lot of people just pulling up in their cars and looking around. There's a spiral stairway that leads to the top where you can see all around the battlefield. We hiked to the monument via a short cut from the Heritage Trail. It was a beautiful December day.

This is the Pennsylvania Memorial at Gettysburg Battlefield. It was constructed in 1910 and includes the names of over 34,000 Pennsylvanians to fight in the battle. The structure is impressive and you can climb the steps to the top for a great view of the area.
