Ok, where do we start... we have enjoyed the region and picking cherries. Would like to make it an annual family event. However we will NOT stay here again. We chose this hotel because it had a pool but it was out of order, apparently due to Covid lockdown which ended over a month ago... enough time to get their pool back in order, especially since we are now in summer. Kids were totally devastated. Had to change rooms because TV didn't work. I even helped another guest fix the TV in their room as there was no staff around. Dirty plates and cutlery. Also a smash wine glass. My wife left a message on their phone as office was unattended, during opening hours, and never received a call back.

This motel is simple, clean and has everything you need. It is nestled among some small pretty farms and just 2mins drive from the centre of Young's township. There are a few friendly ponies and llamas in the adjacent farm which love the motel visitors and come up close to be patted or fed. Pierre the Motel Manager is awesome and attends to any of your needs. Have stayed here often and just recently. Fully recommend it.

No hot water, no aircon, no working microwave, full of mosquitos and full of excuses to get things fixed

Stayed in a family room (Queen & 2 singles) and it was very spacious, great facilities. They have little horses and a Llama to visit and an awesome little children's playground. We ordered breakfast and it was all very yummy. Overall was an awesome stay

Grossly overpriced for what you got. No breakfast facilities, not even room service. No restaurant in with the temperature being in the high 30s NO POOL. Bed comfortable but that was all. Very disappointed.

Went there with a group ,my room the furniture was broken, beds comfortable though, my teacher called a week ahead to find out about the pool as it was a 36 degree day when we arrived, the pool was not accessible, especially after Cherry picking in the heat... it shows a restaurant, there isn't one...

Definitely the place to be when staying in Young NSW. The place isn't new but with age its grown into a very homely environment, and the maintenance done inside makes it feel new. Beds feel like therapy and so does the bathroom with all you're needs supplied so forget your toilet bag not needed. And then there's the restaurant!! Did not expect it but with everything else I guess explained why the food was so good. Big ups to the owners and staff as im feeling very content ;-)

Comfortable clean rooms. TV, bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities. Good water pressure. Lovely surroundings

Coming to young is our yearly lil getaway and hilltops was always the place where we'd stay but after this year experience we WONT be staying here anymore. So where do I start incompetent staff, bed sheets and pillow were disgusting, they stuffed our booking was an absolute disaster. If u want an enjoyable experience in young than please DONT STAY at HILLTOP retreat.

Jane does a stirling job. Rooms very well presented and clean. Recommended.

No staff to replace towels, sheets, empty bins, stayed over a week. No hot water. Tried calling a number of time to get someone to look at it. No answer left messages. No returned call. Head office sent emails, tried calling as well. No answer. Young was booked right out had no where else to stay or I would of left. Never again. This would be the first bad review I have ever posted. So to take the time to do it is saying alot for me. It is like winter here at the moment and starting work at 3am and having to have a freezing cold shower is a joke.

The place was very clean and comfortable. But the staff was so disorganised and lost on the booking system, first they didn't find our booking through booking.com, than after paying for a second time (cause we had paid already through booking.com), they send us the wrong invoice via email with the wrong amount which was a mess. Besides that, the place is very nice. But the headache from the begin was unpleasant.

My friends and I stayed at Hilltops for the weekend and we all loved it. The rooms were spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was a fantastic size for 4 women. For breakfast I recommend the omelette, its delicious and it will carry you till lunchtime. Look out for Tom the welcoming cat, he is very friendly to visitors. We are definitely staying here again

I never got the chance to here, due to the fact the office staff lost our booking details. As a corporate traveller this is poor form and interrupted our meetings with important clients in Young. We could only get accommodation in Cootamundra.

What a joke this place is now! Made a booking and turned up to find no rooms available and then they tried to blame Booking.com, when i rang direct. Incompetent staff who don't know what they are doing. I travel a lot for work so know good from bad. Never stay at this place!! Look elsewhere
