The best hotel we've ever been! the first sight when you arrive at the hotel is amazing. you immediately feel welcomed. they are super friendly and are there for you if you have any questions. not only the atmosphere is good. also the food. the tables are nicely decorated. and you will be well served. the beds are great for falling asleep. but what makes this hotel even more fantastic is their wellness. you have a lot of variety and can choose which bath you want. from cold to warm. And at least the last thing to know is, thats there a free parking at the hotel. it is definitely recommended to do if you are near Bergen (Norway).

Super in every way! Secluded and calm, with everything that you need. If you are coming by foot from the bus station, know that there's a 20-minute walk along the coast that you can walk. The easiest way to get to the door is by taxi, and the closed bus stop is 10 minutes uphill. The place has saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, access to the fjords for a jump, gym, and massage services. The rooms are very, very, very well equipped. There's everything except for toothpaste and a toothbrush, so get your own. The lounges are quite nice, overseeing the fjords, with all-day access to tea and coffee. The restaurant offers delicious meals as well. The staff is wonderfully helpful!

Another lovely stay. We got a fabulous room, very spacious and elegant. Everything was top-notch, spa, dinner, and breakfast. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing place close to Bergen. Unbelievable views, top class spa, pools and saunas (including a heated pool for outside swimming), excellent food, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, in short: perfect. Also great for meetings, as they have really good facilities and food/coffee/tea during breaks. Unbeatable.

Fabulous hotel, and wonderful staff. Beautifully run, so welcoming and great food. The location is brilliant and the setting is stunning. All the facilities you could want for some proper relaxation. Booking the spa in advance is a must. A lovely 20 min walk into town by the sea and a short taxi ride to Bergen airport. Couldn't fault it.

I had a day visit for the spa treatment which includes access to the sauna and swimming pool facilities. The hotel surrounding is peacefully quiet creating the zen vibes, especially when soaking yourself in the outdoor pool. The highlight was the Nordic Zen spa treatment with the wonderful therapist Marianna. The treatment was very relaxing and made me feel rejuvenated afterward! Also, Marianna has such a blissful character that we chatted and giggled like a close friend during the treatment. After all, thank you for the fantastic experience.

We stayed at Solstrand for our honeymoon in Scandinavia. We traveled all over and the Solstrand was our favorite. The rooms were immaculate and so charming. The views of the fjords are second to none. The staff were helpful and kind. The food was amazing - especially the room service. It feels like a blast from the past when you arrive - when people believed that relaxation and fresh air were an important part of healing. But it is modern, serene, and such a cool experience. Highly recommend you try the ice to hot pool experience and sauna, plus a massage! The Solstrand is a once in a lifetime type of hotel.

I was here for a conference -it’s a beautiful location and the interior is traditional in a cosy and tasteful way. Staff are attentive and polite. Food is fantastic (well cooked, seasoned and broad dessert buffet).

Beautiful old hotel by the sea, with a park in front of the hotel, leading down to the sea. Good food, outdoor heated pool with beds overlooking the sea and ilands and of course indoor swimmingpool with massage, sauna etc. Spa facilities.

Great room, food, service, and facilities including the garden, pool, sauna, and access to the sea. Minus two stars for lighting candles everywhere. Not a fan of inhaling smoke particles.

Beautiful spa, location and grounds—truly serene. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit old, but they have some charm and the balcony helps.

I've had the pleasure of staying in hotels across the globe, both good and not-so-good ones, but this exceptional establishment has truly surpassed all my previous experiences. From the exquisitely appointed rooms to the breathtaking views, and the absolutely splendid sauna and spa facilities, everything was nothing short of perfection. Sonya, the enchanting soul at the front desk, played a pivotal role in making our stay unforgettable, and we are absolutely certain that we will return. This hotel exudes an air of elegance and has a remarkable knack for creating an ambiance that fosters unforgettable experiences.
