Going to the dentist always makes me feel nervous/anxious, this place is different though. All the staff were very nice and friendly. Dr. Khan is very easy to talk to. He made sure you are at your utmost comfort and he discussed all possible options. The prices are very fair. Will highly recommend this place for any dental work.

Smiles Cafe Dentistry is 6 out of 5 stars for me! Dr. Yao gently and patiently explained the process of treatment I needed. Deanna, the hygienist, was thorough and helped me understand all of my oral hygiene needs. They are all extremely welcoming, competent, and provide high quality dental work. They really do an excellent job working on teeth, thoroughly explaining any issues, answering all questions, educating their patients, and treatment planning for current and future visits. All this is complemented by a welcoming and relaxing environment in the office which helped to ease my anxiety while getting my teeth worked on. I trust them with my dental health and so should you! This clinic is awesome! My 3 year old, 9 and 5 year old were nervous about going to the dentist. After the appointment, my kids said Dr. Lily and Dr. Khan were the best dentist . They look forwards to their next visit. I recommend this office because of the professionalism, honesty and overall good vibes.

Very professional and friendly service. They have all the latest diagnostic equipment. With my first visit I realized how far behind the times my previous dentist was. Just had my third visit today and I’m very happy I found this place! Deana the hygienist is awesome, and Dr Kahn is very thorough.

What a great experience. The two dentists who I met (Dr, Khan and a lovely woman dentist, but I don’t recall her name) were very professional, compassionate, and friendly. The hygienist, Deanna, was the gentlest at cleaning my teeth that I’ve ever had and I have had some really good hygienist in my lifetime. I recommend them without hesitation.

Dr. Khan is one of the best Dentists I have ever seen. I've had dental work done all over the world and he is by far the best Dentist. He took me in on his day off and performed a miracle in saving three of my front teeth. I had inferior work done previously by another dentist which Dr. Khan repaired. He is highly skilled, professional, kind and patient. He has state of the art equipment and his staff is amazing. I will never go to another dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Khan. I thank him for his superlative skill.

I always have anxiety going to the dentist as I always need work done on my teeth, and I hate being judged and having pain. After moving from DC I visited Khan, he was amazing honest and upfront about the situation. This type of experiences builds trust with your dentist. If you're price sensitive this may not be the please but you can't put a price on your health so I highly recommend it especially if you haven't seen a dentist for a regular check up. There is only street and paid parking. It costs $2/hour.

New to HB and chose Smiles Cafe after seeing all the positive reviews. From the start of the friendly first phone call to checking out after the appointment, it was an overall great experience with a phenomenal staff. Had x-rays completed by Art who was so nice and informative about the process. Deanna was awesome for the cleaning and is so sweet. Dr Khan’s explained my x-rays and spent time discussing them and a treatment plan. My daughter also had a visit at the same time and had someone different for x-rays, saw the other dentist who did her cleaning and had a great experience as well. Smiles Cafe makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience.

Absolutely love Smiles Cafe Dentistry. I used to not care for the dentist and or never care to go. Now I love to go. They are local which makes it all that much better to be able to walk there. They actually know you by name which I feel makes the whole experience so much more personable. And they treat you extremely well. Would highly recommend them

If you’re looking for a great dentist, I highly recommend this dental office. The staff is great. This is the third time to their office and they remembered who I was. They are very pleasant, professional, and have outstanding customer service. The doctors are gentle, kind, compassionate, understanding and empathetic to your pain, easy to communicate with, and very knowledgeable in their field of study. Again, I highly recommend.

One of the BEST DENTISTS. I highly recommend anyone to come here. Dr. Khan and his staff are very knowledgeable, thorough, and quite friendly. I come to see Dr. Khan from 45 miles away only because I am usually very nervous to go to the dentist but he makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed.

Dr. Tahir Khan and his staff are so patient, pleasant and kind. I recently went in for a deep cleaning. I've had a terrible experience with a previous dentist elsewhere. But Dr. Khan was very attentive and gentle. He made sure I was perfectly numb and worked in a precise manner to avoid stress on my gums. The next morning, I felt as if nothing happened. No soreness; just beautifully clean teeth!

My family just moved to HB and my 12yr needed to see someone right away for tooth pain. I’d called around and left messages with other offices’ answering services, (it was after hours), but Dr. Khan’s office was the ONLY one that called me back. Furthermore, they made time to see us the very next morning (on a Saturday). They were really great! Friendly, very professional, yet easygoing and informative. My 12yr. old walked out of there happy, and relieved. And I made an appointment for myself the following week! This is definitely our new family dentist!!

Smiles Cafe was the third dental group I had visited and my expectations were not very high despite a stellar recommendation from a friend. There was minimal wait time before I saw the dentist. He started treatment immediately, in conjunction with his equally personable dentist brother. They addressed all of my concerns, made certain I understood the procedure, and let me know throughout the proceedings how far along we were. Costs were explained prior to any work being done, along with less costly options. I was under time constraints and they accomplished the dental surgery right on the dot. The younger dentist offered to call an Uber if I felt unable to safely drive, and put my walker in my car for me. I definitely recommend Smiles Cafe.

I switched dentists to Smiles Cafe Dentistry I’m August, and I have to say that they have such a welcoming and friendly staff. I went in a few months ago when a partial crown fell out, and Dr. Khan gave me options on how he could fix it but was transparent about the costs/changes that would need to be made. He heard my concerns and instead helped me advocate for myself to get the previous dentist to fix it since the glue they used didn’t hold. I also just went in for a cleaning with the dental hygienist, Deanna I think, and she was so friendly and kind! She got me in and out within the short time frame that I had. Overall, I’ve had pleasant experiences here and it’s a dental team I can stay with.

I noticed a slight discomfort in a tooth and immediately called Smiles Cafe. The receptionist was kind and professional and managed to find an opening two weeks ahead of my original appointment. She recognized I hadn't been in a long time and arranged x-rays, cleaning, and an exam. I received a warm greeting from the receptionist as I walked in the day of my appointment. Shortly after, the tech saw me and asked me about my tooth concerns as she took my x-rays. The hygienist was friendly and made sure I was comfortable while getting my teeth cleaned. She was attentive and noted potential problem spots to pass to Dr. Khan. Dr. Khan determined I had a cavity. It was a bummer, but I appreciated how he gave his professional opinion on timing treatment around my upcoming wedding. I can't wait to get my tooth fixed to prevent it from turning into something more painful. I never thought I'd be so excited to see my dentist after nearly two years due to the pandemic. I recently had some major dental work performed at Smiles Dentistry as a first time patient, and I can truthfully say that it was an excellent, very pleasant experience. One doesn't always think of a trip to the Dentist as being a positive occasion, but from the first time I visited until the final procedure, which spanned several weeks, I truly appreciated the professionalism, thoroughness, knowledge, understanding, and the friendliness of the Dentists and staff. They made me feel very comfortable and fully aware of my dental situation and the choices that I could make, while explaining in detail the procedures, timing and cost. I feel as though I've found a permanent home for my future dental needs, and would highly recommend anyone looking for the best in Dental care to visit Smiles Dentistry.

I broke a tooth, while visiting, and needed to give it quick attention. I was a long way from home. I was fortunate to have chosen Smiles Cafe Dentistry! I was impressed with the professionalism from everyone there. The end result was a very impressive repair, with pain management well done. They were as interested in my smile as I was, and they worked with my schedule. I was very pleased with their skills. Huntington Beach is fortunate to have Smiles Cafe Dentistry!

Beware!! Once I arrived at the clinic the front desk presented what my insurance would cover and my out-of-pocket expenses. I have never had to pay over $300 out of pocket for an annual exam, bitewings, and cleaning. I've had the same insurance for over 10 years and have used it use it every year for my entire family at different dental clinics. This is clearly a dental practice that has their prices overly priced! Just a little background on my dental experience, I've worked in the dental field for over 16 years as a hygienist, clinic manager, and worked in dental insurance auditing. I also asked why I was not notified of charges that are outside my copay. They said I was notified a day before my appointment which was not true. They did send a text message to confirm my appointment the day of. So, I give this clinic 1-star for for sending me an appointment reminder, but they get 0-stars for failing to notify me of out-of-pocket expenses, customer service, and dishonesty. I felt the need to write a review so that potential clients are aware of what had happened on 06/28/2023. I will be contacting my insurance company about my experience with this practice.

After our dentist retired I found Smiles Cafe Dentistry about a year ago. I have had my teeth cleaned a couple of times and a small cavity filled. The Dr. and the staff were amazing. The were kind and attentive and made the entire experience comfortable. The best thing though, I had discovered an unusual bump on the roof of my mouth and they were able to get me in the day I called to see about making an appointment to have it looked at. Dr. Khan was so good at addressing my concerns and letting me know that I had nothing to worry about. I was really worried when our previous DDS retired after looking after our teeth for 40 years but am grateful now for having found a great place close to me!

I just want to send a shout out about Smiles Cafe Dentistry 😊. Fortunate for me, I didn't have any cavities. My hygienist and Dr. Khan were awesome. They were very gentle, thorough, and compassionate with a pre-existing condition of mine. I love my pearly whites! 😁

OMG I recently had my best ever dental experience! I felt like I was at a spa and not in a dental chair. I am a dental coward. I’ve been to many dentists but never like this experience!
